Vritrasura: The Devout Demon

Once the asuras attacked the gods and defeated than in the war. With Lord Brahmaji’s consent the gods appointed Vishwarupa, the son of Twashta, as the celestial priest. Vishwarupa knew to wield the Narayanan Kavacha (A divine impregnable armourayuanan.) With the help of this kavachc, Indra became powerful and defeated the asuras. However Vishwarpa’s mother being the daughter o fan aura Indra suspected that while outwardly helping the gods he might be giving a part of the Sacrificial offerings to the auras as well. Therefore out of danger he killed Voshwarpua. Aggrieved at the loss of his son, Twashta perfumed an Abhichara yajna with a resolve to avenge his son’s death. Out of the uajna was born the terrible Vritrasura, who in his previous life was a king Lord the Ananta (infinite). He was born an asura account of a curse of the Divine Mother private. Though an asura by birth, he soon developed a deep devotion towards God due to his similar practice in the previous life.

Vritrasura practiced penance for 60000 years and acquired immense power. He then conquered the three words and began to enjoy the pleasures thereof. By God grace I have been blessed with the knowledge of the Ultimate Truth, and hence am not affected by the coming and passing away of the jives, or even by; the attainment or non attainment or sense pleasures. I attained affluence through severe penance only to destroy the same through severe penance only to destroy the same thought my own reckless activates. I am to at all aggrieve over my lost glory. While engaged in a war with Indra, I had the pious dragon of Sri Hair my Lord. So having no desire for planting else, I only entreat you to guide me as to how and by adapting what course of action I can God.”

Shmkeracherya praised Vrita for his decotion. Just then Rishi snaaka and his brothers reached there in the course of their wandering. Shmkeracherya and Vritra worshipped them reverentially. On being asked by Shmkeracherya senate Kumara said, “God who permeates the whole world who is the supreme Cause of Creation, preservation and Dissolution of the Universe, that Lord Narayan can not be attained through the learning of scriptures saves pancake of fire ceremonies. One putting in vigorous efforts congests his heart purified even in a single life. The vices of the intellect, such as the attachment repeated efforts. The pure hearted ones behold God in all with the visit of Knowledge. Through this vision of equanimity they attain to Barcmic Consciousness. They who remain unanimous in pleasure and pain by controlling their sense who aspire to realize the supremely pious divine sate with their pure mind realize the Braham and thereby go no to personified eternal supreme Brahamn.”

Vritasura them beheld the Lord in all and everywhere with a firm conviction. Indra and other gods tried all they could to kill him but faille. He would take away the radiance of attackers and swallow their Veapons. Then the gods took deluge in the Lord and eulogized Him with lolling words of wisdom. The Lord instantly appeared there and said,”O gods I am pleased with you. Once I am pleased their in nothing unattainable for the java but they whose intellects are devoted to Me with devotion Being do not desire for anything sleds father them me.”

Goyandkaji said I don’t desire to render the Lord jobless while asking for this boon nor do I be liven in the possibility of collective liberation of all. Music is a sublime gift presented by the Lord supreme to mankind. Through the medium of music man can establish contact with the Lord on the emotional place. Man can attain repute from tension and find both physical and mental relief through music. But today the situation is quite the opposite. Instead of using music as a source of peace and happiness muse is largely being used in a way that leads to agitation and degeneration.

‘Pop’ and ‘Rock’ music play a vital role in vitiating and spoiling the hearts an mind to the younger ration. Such exiting music has an extremely detrimental impact on both mind and body. In the final stage of Yoga the verities, operative waves of the mind stuff, are dissolved into their originating source in the state of Samadhi. Samadhi does endow on with yogic powers, but the sense of individuality in not completely destroyed. One practicing yoga according to pathnjali Yoga or Kindling yoga conquers his mind experiences samdhi and gains power; but on emerging form Samadhi the sadhaka finds the world to be real. So that smash is called laya samashi or the dissolution of the mind.

Yogic science leads to the dissolution of the mind while Self Knowledge brings about the sudation of the mind.

What is the difference between sudation and dissolution of the mind?

While the virtues and vices of Nature are fleeting the aim of self knowledge in to realize the non fleeting nature to your real self.

“Certainly there in no purifier in this world like Knowledge”.

If somebody remains ever engrossed in the thoughts of self Knowledge his desires attachments ect, will be eradicated. With his desires having gone the desired object start seeking him. The fame wealth and pleasures will dg him. Then fame wealth and pleasures will dog him even if the doesn’t desire for them. Somebody might say your Holiness we too do not desire for fame wealth or pleasures but still we have not attained fame. Hey even while saying I have o desire you have desire or fame in the depth of your mind. The desire should be eradicated from within. With objects will start chasing you this is the Law of Nature.

How can there be attachment or hatred in a min which so free form desires? One who being the witness has perfectly realized the Self in his hart always beholds his own self everywhere. There is absolutely no place fro attachment or hatred in the minds of such grace man.

Initially on has to steer clear of attachment and hatred and then n should strive to transcend the illusion of time and space as well. Attachment towards a particular place or time too is an illusion. This illusion too is dispelled with the attainment self knowledge.

Pure and Adulterated Happiness

Verily those who didn’t put their time and energy to good use when endowed with a human birth in their pervious with a human birth in their previous lives are see today living wretched and miserable lives in the species of trees ingests etc.

Did God want us to be miserable while endowing us with the human birth? He rather wanted us to partake of pure unadulterated and faired to get the pure bliss. The more one indulges in faulty pleasures, bliss. But we misused the opportunity and failed to get the pure bliss. The more he is condemned to Lowe life forms. By mindlessly indulging in faulty pleasures, we become so very corrupted that we have to be born all lover corrupted that we have to born all over again in the 8.4 millions of life forms. Those who completely become tree. They are them pecked by birds, hit by axes and have to suffer storms; and they scoot even complain or cannot ever complain or tell anything s to any body. Other become animals bright insects … why? They had been endowed with the human birth to attain the pure sinless joy but they did nothing towards away their precious life indulging in sinful animal pleasures.

Those who don’t indulge so such in sense enjoyments get the human birth again and if they move forward on the path of pure joy or devotion they become gods. But if on comes by a self realized saint and gets initiated in to the pure sinless joy, one becomes pure and sinless by avoiding such joy over a period of time. Them he is exonerated from the sufferings of 8.4 million births. An innocent man is never punished. He becomes Brahman Himself. Therefore one should imbibe the sinless joy. Pure joy is one own
Real self. One savoring the pure sinless joy does neither suffer himself manor exploit others. One indulging in sinful joy brigs pain and misery to himself as well as to others around him.

“An ideal saint doesn’t

Inflict pain on himself or other.

He lives in the garden of the world but

Never plucks the leaves or flowers there of

One should live in the garden of the world but should not do anything’s to cause pain and suffering to himself or to others. Hedonists is miserable himself and brings misery to other as well. Not only that he also cheaters and defrauds others.

You say Bapuji One has to resort to such things at times for the sake of one family.

Actually what you acquire by treachery and deceit will not accompany you at the time of death but the sins of treachery and deceit will. The body for the sake of which you indulged in sin will be cosigned to flames her itself, but the mind which has been sullied by that sin will go with your. What have you do done for providing coverts and luxuries to this body? You drank ate meat, resorted to lies this body has to be bunt one day. You have indulged in sin for the sake of what must be burnt and in the bargain sullied your hart, which will accompany you. Undue attachment to the grooms body will lead you to life forms like trees elephants buffaloes etc The more your attachment to ht einseticnet body more Slothful your mind becomes The more your love for the pure joy and sinless Atman, the more spiritualize your mind becomes. If you mix water with milk, it take the cooler of milk water with it with liquor it take the of milk and if you mix it with liquor similarly, if you engage themed in thoughts of the body it becomes body oriented. If you inculcate in it becomes body oriented. If you inflate in it the belief of being a Patel a sindhi a Gujarat it will accept the some accordingly. It isn’t a problem of you believe so outwardly while being aware within that all these are imagination and that you actually are the Atman, The absolute consciousness. However merge that very mind into the Supreme Brahman so that alit becomes the pure Brahman. Imbibing the pure sinless joy does not only make one blessed, but also delivers others who come into contact with him of the worldly bondage. How supremely virtuous was the life of Lord Rama, who rendered sever to His Guru obeyed his commands and thus realized His Truth consciousness Bliss Absolute self. He imbedded ad pure sinless joy which mad e Him blissful, and ever joy which blissful and even today thousands get peace and peace remembering Him. Ravenna, on Him Racana, on the other hand took the iniquitous joy of power and pelf and the result is that we burn his effigy year after year.

You can opt for the ego centered living and get bound by custom and norm, bond with friends and relatives social rules and desire for appreciation and respect and you can also go for satang which helps you can also go fro by realizing helps you eraser the ego buy realizing that the pure consciousness permeates all things animate and inanimate and it He that the pure consciousness permeates all things am inmate and inanimate and it is he that gives life to your body. Ego is always centered in the body. Those hungering for bodily pleasures are anther impure sinful joy.

Some people ask snits too sleep on soft beds sit on cushioned seats wear garlands and travel by cars and aero lances Son’s they too indulge in sense enjoyments.?”

Well saints do travel in cars and atropines but important things are their motives behind becoming a sadhu.

Those who have put on saffron robes for getting honored and traveling by cars and aero planes nobody gives any respect to them. Those who have become saints for the sake of God seek no pleasure from traveling by cars and atropines and other things. They merely make use of these facilities for the sake of giving pure sinless joy to other. If a snit has to go overseas or to a distant place in the country, he cannot walk to that place. He will naturally have to use the available means of travel.

One persona is so fond of traveling by air that he is promising to offer sweets to the deity in the event of his being able to do so. He spends for his air fares and after that celebrates his air travel ad distributes Prasad as well. But the pilot and other members of the crew eager to get out of it. As soon as their duty hours are over. Traveling by plane is not a pleasure tip for them but a study. The passenger seeks pleasure from the trio the pilot doesn’t eve thought both are traveling by the same plane at the same time. Similarly the self realized and the ignitron; the enlightened and the unenlightened; both seem to be embodied riding the vehicle of the body. The ignorant seeks pleasure form living in the body, and the enlightened while living in the body uses it for a higher purpose. The pilot and the passenger both are sitting in the other son a pleasure his duty, while the other is on a pleasure trip. Do we live in the body and engage in activities of leisure or for saving other? If we are living eating and traveling by cars and aircrafts for the purpose of saving others, we reliving fro e skew of sense enjoyments we are living impure sinful life.

Human life is full of possibilities, you can become as high as you want; and you can also slide downwards as much as you want. You ca enrich your life with divine knowledge, dovetail love sever altruism and purity as mach as you want and then you can also make your life as hollow as you want devoid of these virtues. In human birth you have the privilege of dong tapasya in the form of elevating your life through virtuous deeds. Animals can’t do drugs deeds nor can they destroy their past sins. Man can destroy his past sins and also increate Karma. Animals can’t do virtuous deeds nor can they destroy their past sins. Man can destroy his past sins an also increase his karma.

“Sense enjoyments are not the purpose of this life.”

This body is not given to us for the sake of sense enjoyments. Instead it has been given to us to that we can imbibe the pure deeds gradually make the heart pure and the pure the heart the calmer it becomes. And the calmer is, the nearer it is to the peace personified God. Only and intense yearning for that blessed state is required. If one has that, the rest of the job is done God Himself.

Your Happiness in your Hands

If you face criticism without having committed my condemnable act, then why should you bottgher at all? If you do good and get praises, pass them on to Him, who made you do good. In case you happen to be involved in some sinful act, just atone for it and refrain from such acts in the future, but don’t get frightened by trivial things. This is samara. You will come by sorrow as happiness, honor and dishonor, respect and disrespect from time in your life. Your wife. You husband your son will accede to your wishes now and disregard them then. The husband will have his way at time and at others the wife will have an upper hand. At time both have to yield to the wishes of their son or ever neighbor. One political party will holy sway at on time and the other one will carry the day at another. This is the way of the world.

“Sweat your brows,

Or have a sound sleep;

The boat of life wills sail on,

Whether you laugh or weep”

For the self realized ones, this world is fun. Never mind if people are unfair to you, but make sure you are not unfair to yourself. Such things you get to know is sat sang. You may not become as greater as Kabirji yet you can definitely avid being influenced by sorrows to some extent at least. You defend yourself saying, By God I am innocent. So and so is making false allegations…. God damn him false allegations were leveled against Kabir as well. People blamed Guru Nanak also. Why should you worry if the some is done to you? The indweller lord knows everything’s. You are immutable as so should be your heart.

Saints like Guru Nanak, Kabirji, Tukaramji, and Narsimha Mehta, Who had attained the kingdom of equanimity didn’t get perturbed at all on being slandered by the people. They kept their cool intact. But general people get disturbed by slander and swear people get disturbed by slander and swear by God clarifications to defeat themselves.

One may behave the way one likes, whether or nor be miserable is verily in your own hands; whether or not to be enamored is in your own hand. What you do? You have given away your very own prerogatives to other. So very generous of you. It is your not physical objects you have given. It is you discretion to keep you heart in the desired stale. You have given that discretion to others. I would be happy if so and so person acts not slander me. Things should to such and such way and only them I will be happy… You have mad e your heart a German toy the key to which is in others” hands. People make you dance to their desired tunes. People may praise you but it is up to you whether or not to be conceited. People may slander you, but it depends on you whether or not to get angered, afraid or vexed. Suppose you area being maligned without a good cause and you have done nothing to deserve it. Is it in your hands to explain things to the millions? It is not possible for you to cover the entire earth with leather; it is definitely easy to wear shoes to protect your feet form thorns. In the same way take a lesson from the lives of great men and remain eqanimous in all situates. Take good care not to be involved in any condemnable ac, but it you are condemned in spite of that thanks God, “O God. It is verily your boundless grace.”

The Real God.

Perfection is achieved through our scriptures, Guru Mantra and the knowledge imparted by Gurus by way of disciple succession. If one acts according to the whims and fancies of his mind, he will get puffed up in success and fall into the pit of despair in he face of failure. Both ways, he will end in disaster. How to know whether one’sadhana is on the right rack You need somebody to el you whether your experience is really that of self realization or is just a face of your mind. I get visions of this goddess, that god and the Lord Himself. You imaginary God will be with you now and split with you the next moment. Who know you will be separated from gatekeepers of Lord Vishnu, had to suffer fall from, the Lord’s abode.

There was a highly educated man possessing a number of degrees B.A. B.Ed., M.A. M.Ed., Ph.D., D.Litt. etc. He had good jobs too but to save his life form beign wasted in worldly affairs he left the job ad become a sahib. He came to Viridian and Lord Krishan He had a fancy for His child from as the son of Nunda Baba. Once he came by a lovely child belonging to a poor man. Once day thought of taking his Lord Krishna to one prabhudatta Brahmachari Mr. Brahmachari was a jovial; ad playful man. He had fun with even pundit ecru. He filed nomination and contested the election against Nehruji. He said to Nahruji, Never mind if I get fewer votes then you do but FI do am a well known personality after all. And he went on to obtain around fifty five thousand votes against pundit Nehru. He was so carefree and playful. Headhunt told his Lord Krishna to him prabhudatta Brahmachari advised and urged him to appreciate the difference between the fancied Lord Krishna and the real Lord Krishna, You believe this boy of sixteen years to be Lord Krishan but even with the real Lord Krishna for him, arjuna was in a miserable before him, Arjuna was in miserable state. Arjuna’s despondency was gone only when he assimilated the Knowledge of the Ultimate Truth imparted by Lord Krishna. “The sadhu was not prepared to see reason. The sadhu too hit back,” Lord Krishna, you? No way.”

Now there was a veritable quarrel between the Lord and his devotee. The sadhu said, “Okay, I shall teach you a lesson.”

He took the boy to a secluded place and gave him a good beating. Till then the boy had been worshipped and pampered; he ate butter and candies, wore dupe red; borough him to he ound.omehow brought. He somehow pulled him free an ream to the railway station.

The dueled people get provoked to persecute the saints who have love and the good of all in their heart. What a foolish act it is to cut the tree instead of getting relief from heat under is cooling shade. Why don’t you take benefit form the shade and protect yourself from the heart? Will that person to be called a fool who instead starts cutting its roots.
