I have the Siddhi of Guru’s grace, riches of Lord’s name

There was a Muslim saint named Maulana jalaluddin Room. He named Maulana jalauddin Room He asked his devotes, ‘’in what conditions does a don key bray’’

There was no answer. Maulana made the question easier, ‘’A donkey on two occasions. What are they?’’

Still nobody could reply. Jalaluddin said, ‘’Ok, I will tell you. A donkey brays on two occasions-one when he is hungry and two when he is desirous of mating. But a man who does not love God is a two-legged donkey and is worse than his four-legged counterpart. The four- legged one does not have benefit of satang and Shasta’s. But satang Shasta’s are available to the two- legged; yet he brays for women and wealth.’’

With the help of Guru-Bhakti and satang, even the most wretched of men who slave and drudge.

There is near jaipur a well known city named Aamer. Saint Dadu Dayalji lived there. Once he went to a place called Sambhar. Having heard about his great fame, a trader named Tilakji who hankered after money came to him. Tilaji paid obeisance to Dabuji as per the custom. Daduji knew that he was covetous of wealth, but at the same time there was some good in him which had brought him to satsang.

Dabuji asked him, ‘’From where have you com and what do want?’’

He said, ‘’Your Holiness! Sin to tell lit to a saint. Have not come for Darshan of a saint or our of love for God. I want money and only money. I am in search teach me the technique of making gold.’’

He had Daduji’s Darshan but in his heart, he coveted wealth, was not there with him in the past and will not be his at some point of time. He had no idea of the real wealth which everybody always had, and will forever have. Daduji wanted to deliver him from attachment to wealth and kindle a desire for eternal wealth in him.

Daduji said, ‘’You have come to me wanting to learn Siddhi (psychic powers) and Riddhis (riches). This is the Siddhi I have:

‘Guru’ precepts are the Siddhi I have; it is all grace of God. Lord’ s name is the wealth I have; primeval, imperceptible and limitless. Lord’s name is the alchemy I know; gem of Lord’s love I possess. This the wealth I have; imperceptible and eternal.’

I have wealth of Lord’s name; the gem of Lord’s love and I know the al chemy of spirituality. I don’t know the technique of making gold. I know the alchemy of producing the joy of Lord’s name, which cannot be in exchange for all the gold, all the jewels, all wealth of the world.’’

But the wealth- hungry Tilaji did not relish this reply. Daduji could make our that he interested in illusory wealth, unaware of the fact that in variably such wealth is lost or has be left behind. The pride of illisry wealth and power drives one insane. Self-Knowledge is the real wealth and power.

Daduji showered his grace on Tilaji and said,

‘By bowing at the feet of the Sad guru and repeating Lord Rama’s name, one attains eight Siddhi and nine riches effortlessly; and then he fearlessly reposes in eternal bliss.’

This made Tilaji sit alert. The promise of eight Siddhi and nine riches attracted him. ‘Worldly and power are nothing in comparison to eight Siddhi and nine riches,’ he thought. He said, ‘’Your Holiness! Even if one gets wealth, one lives in fear of the government, of in-come tax people, of debts becoming bad and of course death. Pray get me eight Siddhi sand nine riches. Then I don’t need Siddhi and nine riches. Then I don’ t need wealth. People with wealth will seek after me.’’

Tilaji started listening to satsang regularly and this weaned his mind away from the world and he became more and more attracted towards divine peace, divine bliss, divine knowledge and divine glory. One makes good progress in area of one’s interest. We have interest in worldly possessions. That why we are not not able to make progress on the spiritual path. If our interest is towards God, can easily attain to Him. Kabirji said,

‘The amount of affection and attachment you have for your family, if you have it for the Guru, nothing can stop you from attaining to Supreme Beatitude.’

Janak attained God-Realization when he had one foot in the stirrup and was abut to mount himself on the horseback. Prikshit attained God Realization in seven days, someone did so in 40 days, Dhruve in six months, eight year old Ramdas in a few months, Mirabai in a few years. There are no rules as to qualification or time required for God Realization. The more is the yearning for God Realization; competence of the Sadguru; concentration, non attachment, earnestness and resoluteness of the disciple; the faster and more effectively does divine grave work on the disciple.

Daduji showered his grace and Tilaji received it with earnestness. Tilaji realized the futility of transient worldly wealth. Worldly wealth, worldly power and the physical body made of worldly matter are ephemeral. The eternal wealth, eternal power and eternal joy that never goes awau; that alone is worth attaining. Tilaji gained this insight and surrendered himself completely to Daduji.

Tilaji would get engrossed listening to satsang and would look at Daduji with a fixed gaze. Noticing Tilaji earnest ness and concentration. Daduji bestowed Mantra Diksha on him and allowed him to render personal service to him.

From the day Daduji came to Sambhar, he was living under an umbrella. Rainwater did no harm to him. He was a Siddha! Once it rained heavily. Water came into the umbrella as well. Daduji said to all, ‘’Go on repeating the name of the Lord, ‘Satya Rama’ and you will easily go across this pond of water.’’ Tilaji started repeating ‘Satya Rama’ and he walked on the pond as if he was walking on the ground. Tilaji thought, ‘Gurudev has told us to repeat ‘Satya Rama’ but he himself is not doing so.’ Little did he know about the spiritual height Daduji had attained. It was immaterial whether or not he repeated the name of the Lord. Lord. One who entertain doubts about the Guru, the Shastras or the God gets drowned. Tilaji began to drown. He prayed to Gurudev, ‘’O Gurudev! Save me.

Daduji said, ‘’Tila! You enter tained doubt in your mind. One should never have doubt in Guru’ s words. They are always true. Get rid of doubt; and you will get across water as also across the ocean of Samsara.’’

Tilaji got across the pond of water.

‘Doubt harms all; are overcome by doubt. One who destroys his doubt is a saint.’

Tilaji became free doubt and became a saint. Selfish and covetous Tilaji had come to Daduji to learn the technique of making gold but he listened to Daduji’s satsang and assimilated his teachings and that made a saint. Who had once been hankering after wealth was now being worshipped by many wealthy people.

A Glimpse into Tilaji’s Spiritual poetry

‘How can we attain to the Lord and love him wholeheartedly without the tutelage of the Guru? Alone can show us the path and how can we negotiate the rough terrain of worldly life without knowing the correct path? How can we love the Love single- mindedly (with mind devoted to nothing else) without the grace of the Guru? who else but the Guru can save from death? The only means overcome death is the grace of God and that comes by guru’s grace. Tilaji says one should hold the Guru in ut most reverence, take refuge with Gurudev and make endeavours on the spiritual path so that the Supreme lord of the Universe blesses him with Supreme Beatitude.

Sahajobai says, ‘’Remember the name of God renouncing all worldly attachments. Nobody is ours, not even the body.’’

God creates the world sustained by birth and death, bondage and liberation; but Guru creates only liberation for his disciples. Even the body betrays us. God alone One who never abandons us.

Works of Sahajobai have been pub lished in book from and are read with great respect. She helped many virgins scale great heights in spiritual life. This eleven year old virgin became a great woman Yogi, who filled the hearts of a number of women with Bhakti reliving them of afflictions, sorrows and sins, on hearing the words of a saint for once. But here are the people who are leading the worldly life even after suffering hundreds of insults and keep on flattering ordinary mortals. God alone knows when good sense will prevail on us…

How to make the children more impressive?

Pujya Bapuji’s satsang program was held from 18th to 21st November 2010 at Baroda. There Bapuji’s attention was drawn to my daughter Vrushali due to her alertness, promptness, agility and her deftness in taking photographs and shooting video.

Bapuji asked her smilingly, “Child! Which class you study in?” and Vrushali promptly answered “Class 6th”

Bapuji was surprised. He asked, “How old are you?“ Vrushali replied, “I am eleven years old”. Bapuji was surprised at her physical height and skill in action at an age of just eleven years. Bapuji asked me, “How come this eleven years old girl is so alert, intelligent, and impressive?”

I replied, “Bapuji, I had heard and followed the instructions you gave in your satsang on how we should welcome a new born baby in this world and this is the result of your grace”

Bapuji teaches in his satsang that the umbilical cord of the new born baby should not be cut immediately after birth but after 4-5 minutes. Then one should write OM on the tongue of the new born with a small thin stick made of gold or gold coated silver using a mixture of honey and cow ghee in unequal quantities. Thereafter the new born should be held by its father in his lap and the father should recite the mantra in the ears of the new born “ashmaa bhava’ parashu bhava, hirnyamayastum bhava’. This makes the child outstanding and impressive.

We did the cutting of the umbilical cord and writing of ‘OM’ as per instructions of Bapuji. Vrushali took the Diksha or mantra initiation at the age of six. (At present she is 11 years old, her height is 5 feet 9 inches and her weight is 49 kg.)

Prostrations at the feet of Pujya Gurudev! Presently I am working as a professor at the Indian Institute of Management, (IIMA) Ahmedabad. I am fortunate to get initiated by Bapuji. By doing regular japa of guru-mantra I got success in spiritual and worldly spheres. I was honoured by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh in 2007 for my significant contribution to research in the fild of environmental impact. This year I was a member of the IPCC team that won the most prestigious award in the world, “Nobel Peaces Prize”. In 2010 I was awarded the prize for being very young distinguished orator for my higher research works by IIMA. All this is the result of mantra initiation received from and grace of Bapuji. Pujya Gurudev is Supreme Brahman personified and our knowledge is less than even ten millionth part of his knowledge, Form his satsang I get insights and important hints on my subject of management and research, which I apply successfully in my class and research work.

I pray to Gurudev, ‘Let thy eill be done. Let my desires be destroyed. I do not want anything else.’

The Greatness of the Guru

Realization of God is possible only through a Guru. We should acquire the sublime grace of the Guru, for until the kundalini Shakti is awakened by the Guru’s grace, until our inner light shines until the inner eye of divine knowledge gets opened, we continue to be in the state of bondage. Therefore, to de velop inwardly and to attain divinity, it is absolutely necessary to have a guide-a Sadguru who knows the Ultimate Truth and is full of spiritual power. Just as there can be no life without prana, so without the Guru there can be no knowledge, no unfolding and growth of Shakti, no destruction of darkness, no opening of the third eye. The Guru is more necessary than a friend, a son husband, or a wife; more necessary than, wealth, machines, factories, art, or music. What more can I say? The Guru is more necessary than health and life itself. The glory of the Guru is full of mystery and is supremely divine. He gives a new birth to man; he makes him see the light of wisdom; he shows him the path and makes him a lover of God.

A true Guru awakens the inner Shakti of a disciple and makes him revel in the bliss of the Self. This is what the Guru really is: he is the one who awakens the inner Shakti, Kundalini through Shaktipat (infusion of Shakti) that is sets the divine Shakti in motion in man’s body who gives instruction in yoga, who bestows the ecstasy of knowledge and the joy of Bhakti, who teaches detachment in action and grants liberation in this very life. That supreme Guru is identical with Shiva. That Guru is Shiva, that Guru is Rama, That Guru is Shakti that Guru is Ganapati, Guru is your father and mother. He makes the light blaze in the body of his disciple, gives him his blessing and grace, and then remains engrossed in his own sport. Through the favour of the Guru , man takes on the form of God and live drunk with ecstasy. Such a Guru is great and exalted; he cannot be understood by ordinary intellect.

Normally, it very difficult to get to know Guru, to understand them. If some-one performs a small miracle, we accept him as a guru. If someone gives a little sermon, we accept him as a guru. If someone gives a man-tra or shows a technique of Tantra, we accept him as a guru. In this way, accept many people as guru that we are cheated of inner realization. Finally, our faith is destroyed, and we begin to think that the tradition of trans-mission of knowledge through the Guru itself is hypocrisy. The result is that we stay far away from true Guru. We get deceived by phoney gurus and then despise true Guru.

Don’t abandon a Self-Realized Guru thinking that he is an ordinary person. You will understand his greatness only when his full grace descends on You. The Guru elevates his disciples to a high level, shows them their own true nature, merges them with Shiva, and makes them Shiva.

What wonderful fortune it is to have such a Guru as your own Guru, to be initiated by such a Siddha. The word given by him is a live and potent mantra. The supreme Guru, full of Chiti (pure Consciousness), enters the disciple through mantra, through touch, or through look. Therefore, it is no wonder that a disciple can attain to perfection by living with such Guru, by establishing a relationship with him, by living in his ashram by touching his feet and drinking the water that has been sane- tidied by them, by eating his Prasad, by serving him and praising him, by absorbing the vibrations of Chiti that Flow his love intoxicated state.

Even your husband will come!

I offer salutations to the lotus feet of Sri Satgurudev.

My wife took Diksha from Pujya Bapuji in 1985. At the time of Diksha she thought “My husband does not believe in Bapuji”. The omniscient Bapuji cast a gracious glance on her and said: “Not only you but your husband will also believe in Me; you just see. You will be surprised to see how staunchly he follows Me.”

After a few days. With his grace I also got deeply interested in Bhakti and took Diksha. Words of Pujya Bapu came true. It so happened that a man was not giving my money back to me. So I took a vow before Barhdada of visiting the ashram for having Darshan five times on Sundays on getting my money back I got mu money back and also got the benefit of Bapuji’s Darshan and satsang.

Formerly I had a small paan stall and used to live in a rented house. From the time I came to Bapuji and started doing the seva of distributing Rishi Prasad, my business grew in leaps and bound and so did my peace and joy. I am very happy and blissful. I get success even where there is no chance. I have attained not only material but also spiritual gains. Our group of 16 people made 15000 members of Rishi Prasad and we were blessed with a gold medal awarded by Bapuji. Even at present I do the seva of distributing Rishi Prasad. While doing the seva, we feel that some Divine Power always accompanies us.

Tulsi mala became a protective shield

My husband and I both have taken Mantra-Diksha from Pujya Bapuji. Once, I was circumambulating the Bada-dada (the sacred Bunyan tree in Goregaon ashram, Mumbai. A co-disciple was enquiring from people in Prasad seva?’ Some invisible power inspired me say, “Yes” I resolved to enroll 100 members. On fulfilling my resolve, I got a Tulsi mala from Pujya Bapuji as a Prasad (Blessing). On reaching home, my husband said, ‘I feel that Bapuji has given this mala only for me.’ I gave that mala to him. Next day, he was going to office on a scooter. He saw one oil tanker driven recklessly rushing toward him. He lost control over the scooter. Collided with the tanker and fell down. The onlookers said, ‘he is gone!’ My husband happening to me; please save me.’ Pujya Bapuji appeared instantly in front of my husband, placed him on one side of the road and disappeared. My husband’s clothes were soaked black with oil and torn; but he was completely unhurt. Due to Pujya Bapuji’s kind grace, my husband’s life was saved and he had a narrow escape from death.

From that time, I decided to do more and more of the seva that had saved my husband’s life. I decided to distribute the Rishi Prasad magazine, the gracious Prasad of Pujya Bapuji, to many more people. Millions of salutations at the lotus feet of the Almighty, Protector of devotees, supremely compassionate Sadgurudev!

Cow’s Milk: An Elixir on the Earth

The Vedas proclaim: Cow is the mother of the entire world.’ ‘The Mahabharata’ too says:

‘The cows are mother to all living beings They grant contentment to everyone.’

Service to mother cow is one of the means of God-Realization. Consumption of cow’s milk is also a way to serve her. When cow’s milk becomes an essential part of our diet then there will be an imperative need to rear cow and conserve this prized species of animal kingdom. Cow’s milk, Curds and ghee as also its urine and dung hold enormous value. Our scriptures namely, Agni Purana, Bhavishya Purana Matasya purana, padma purana etc. extol the virtues of cow’s milk. The nutrients that are available in cow’s milk are unavailable in the milk of any other animal such as buffalo or goat etc.

The cow’s milk is the nectar on this earth. Not only it is the best drink and the best food and a complete diet but it is in valuable medicine as well. In all the three worlds cow’s milk is unparalleled among foods that fortify human being physically, mentally and spiritually. The cow milk has more of and radiance element in comparison to the earth component. Consequently the user of this nectarine substance gains incredible intelligence and superb grasping power. Cow’s milk is sweet, oleaginous, delicious, enjoyable, freshening and easily digestible.

It augments body’s vigour strength and hemoglobin as also memory, intelligence and above all longevity of life. Acharya Vagbhatta’s Ashtaanghridya’ mentions that ‘the cow’s milk is the best animal milk and it has the most energizing medicinal composition.

In the medieval era, the Arabian physicians and in 1867, the doctors of Russia and Germany recognized the significance of this elixir. Doctor C. Carel of America used this ambrosial milk for success fully treating hundreds of patients on whom other medicines had proved ineffective.

John D. Rockefeller, once the richest person of the world, who was suffering from severe digestive maladies, could not find any other treatment helpful. It was only cow’s milk which proved to be a blessing for him.

The Essential components of Cow’s milk:

Acharya Sushrut has described cow’s milk as vital for and Acharya Charak has termed it as ia superb vital drink and an excellent medicinal composition because it has in abundance nutrients like protein, carbohydrates, high quality lactose sugar, minerals, fats etc. it has ample quantities of acids which are superior to those present in grains, vegetables, egg or meat products. Milk fat is more easily digestible than any other kind of fat. A glass (250 grams) of milk per day is sufficient for 75% of the body’s requirement of calcium, 40-60% 0f children’s requirement of vitamin B12 and 25-30% of adults’ requirement of fats.

Strontium is a available only in cow’s milk. It helps to counteract the poisonous effects of atomic radiations. ‘Cerebrosides’ found in cow’s milk are beneficial for the brain and the intellect. A protein namely M.D.G.I safeguards the body tissues from cancer.

Benefits of Cow milk: Feed your children regularly on cow’s milk, butter etc। if You wish them to be physically healthy, stout, comely, scholar and intellectually astute.

The cow’s milk helps in alleviating all the three Doshas- Vata pitta and kapha. It eradicates the burning sensation of the body. It also helps indigestion. From an infant to an elderly, the cow’s milk is beneficial for every age group. For infants over six months, a boiled mixture of equal quantity of milk and water is advised. During their teething period, barley water added to milk is excellent for assimilation the body.

Milk should be vigorously agitated to create foam. Thereafter one needs to ingest it sip by for better results. Its foam is helpful in alleviating all the three Doshas- Vata, pitta and kapha. It is energizing, satisfying and easily digestible. It is also beneficial in diarrhea, dyspepsia and chronic fever. Its regular intake helps in enhancing eye-sight and mental power to a great extent. Cow’s ghee added to milk augments intelligence and brilliance. Black cow’s milk is especially beneficial in alleviating Vata. The taken immediately after milking the cow is beneficial like ambrosia.

According to Ayurveda, cow’s milk, curds, butter and buttermilk possess great nectarine virtues. Only cow’s backbone has a vein named ‘suryaketu’. This vein can absorb those rare sun-rays (Go-kiran) which other animals are incapable of absorbing. Upon activation this vein emits a yellow coloured substance known as ‘swarnkshar’. This substance imparts golden hue to the milk, butter and ghee of India cow. Those who consume cow’s milk all through verily lead a healthy, virile, intelligent, robust and long life. Their thoughts are holy and blessed. The milk of India cow alone has these virtues. Milk of any other species of cow such as Jersy, Holstein etc. does not have these qualities. Dairy processing e.g. pasteurization of milk results in loss of its virtues and vital components.

Therapeutic Use of Cow’s Milk:

*Headache: Smear a paste of dried ginger rubbed in cow’s milk for quick relief.

*Sore eyes: For relief in heat and redness of eyes during summer, place cotton pads dipped in cow’s milk over eye-lids.

*Acidity: The patient should slowly sip cow’s milk in small quantities twice or thrice a day. The milk should be cooled naturally, not in a refrigerator.

*Body haemorrhage (Oozing of blood from any part of the body): Drink a mixture of fresh milk (un-boiled and 2 grams of Gokhru (bramble) powder or Shatavari or Yashtimadhu powder for instant relief.

*Constipation: Intake of Isabgol (fleawort) husk or Gulkand (a conserve prepared from rose leaves) with hot milk is extremely beneficial in constipation and piles problem.

*Intestinal Ailments: Before meals slowly rub one spoonful of lukewarm milk on stomach and navel. Take rest for an hour and then take meals. Urination after this process will clear out the toxins of intestines to make them strong and stable.

Precautions:

1. Heating milk on high flame for a longer duration depletes its nutrients.
2. Sugarless milk is more useful for the body. Adding sugar to it reduces its calcium component and increases phlegm in the body.
3. Never add gur (jiggery) to milk. It can cause skin disorders and Prameha, a type of urinary disease of urinary disease.
4. It is not advisable to drink milk in ailments like asthma, diarrhea, dysentery, indigestion, early stages of fever, skin disorders etc.
5. Intake of milk is not suggested with fruits, pulses, sour and salty foods and nonvegetarian food. It can cause innumerable diseases. There should be a minimum gap of two hours between intake of meals and milk.

Sahajobai inspired with spiritual vision by the words of a saint (Excerpts from pujya’s Satsangs)

A baby girl was bors after four sons, to a couple living in parikshitpur, Delhi on 25 july 1725She was named Sahajobai. Her father was Hari Prasad and her mother was Anupi Devi. In those days the custom of child marriage was in vogue. Sahajobai became a bride at the age of 11 years. She was clad in the wedding dress. She wore ornaments. She was a well dressed bride. All kinds of festive- ties were going on. The bridegroom was about to arrive. Fireworks were at display. Charanadasji, a Self-Realized saint been invited to bless the newlywed couple. He appeared on the scene. Sahajobai’s father prayed to him, ‘’Your Holiness! Kindly give your blessings to my daughter.”

Looking at Sahajobai, the Self-Realized omniscient saint said, ‘’O Sahajo! Why do you yearn for wedding a man leaving your real husband, the God that you can attain easily? Your life is the Supreme Lord of the Universe.

‘O Sahajo! This world is not your per manent abode. It is dead sure that you must have to leave this world. Why do you get your hair braided for such a fickle and ephemeral husband?’

This husband will be short-lived. He is not immortal. You are born to wed the immortal husband. The short-lived husband will be of no use to you. The Supreme lord of the Universe is verily your Self. Know Him. He is always with you; He is not away from you; he is easily available; He is within your reach: He is your very own.’’

As soon as Sahajo heard these words, she started taking off all wedding ornaments and said, ‘’I will not marry.’’ And it so happened that the mare, carrying the bridegroom startled by the explosion of a cracker near her, ran amok. The bridegroom’s head hit hard against a tree and he died instantly. The saint had already foretold what was destined to happen. Having known what was going to. Happen, the saint saved the entire family. Moreover, his timely warning saved Sahajobai from the blemish of widowhood. Sahajobai, her four brothers and their parents became disciples of Charanadasji

If charanadasji had come a little later, the wedding would have taken place and Sahajobai would have carried the stigma of widowhood for life. By the saint’ saint’ s grace she remained a virgin. Following the path of her Sadguru, the bride Sahajo became a great woman Yogi attained of the Supreme State (Supreme Consciousness). Through the practice of Yoga, attained the state of perfection. She filled her heart with devotional love for Sadguru. Poems and articles written by her are soul stirring. Sahajobai said,

‘I may abandon Rama (God), but I can never forget my guru. I do not see God as an equal of Guru. God made me take a birth in this world. But Guru saved me from the cycle of births and deaths.’
