Now you too make Some Effort

(Excerpts from pujya Bapuji’s satsang)
Many people complain of not being able to meditate. What is the reason? This is because considering oneself belonging to samsara and living in samsara we want to meditate on God. In fact if one considering oneself of God while abiding in God meditates on God one will never experience break in the morning. Take 4 to 5 deep break in the morning while practicing ssadhana. Affirm while inhaling, ‘I am imbibing diving grace’ and while exhaling. I have abandoned restlessness (of mind). Now whatever comes to my mind will only be divine. Nothing other than God can come to my mind today. I am serving God at this moment. Therefore whatever comes will be that which is sent by God or that which is divine.
We cannot meditate when we are trying to eradicate thoughts nor few do so when we are lost in thought. However if we so not pay heed to those thoughts they will lose their importance. In this way the great men have tried various means for the attainment of divine peace but only those who have an intense aspiration practice those techniques. There are thousands who remain satisfied with petty things. Even the rear few who red the path of God fall prey to pseudo satisfaction and stop when they came by some praise fame or material success. If at all they go ahead they abandon the path of God when they face infamy and opposition. Some progress further, gains some supernatural power only to get entangled in them. The rare one who goes even beyond that attains absolute peace of mind thorough self realization. Sant Kabir says:
‘Take to thy heart this wisdom true, That while all people talk of the higher path, Few very few are they that reach the goal; Two formidable enemies wealth and woman, destroy so many who are following the path listen. It is easy (comparatively) to love of wealth, It is easy (comparatively) to give up the friendship of woman; But giving up honor greatness and jealousy is a very, very rare achievement.’
One abandons home and wealth and becomes an abandoner; but then he should see that within there is no spirit of abandonment’. One may give up wealth, his wife becomes a celibate but jealousy and the desire for honor and jealousy do linger within.
Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa used to say, The desire for praise is the last hurdle for a sadhaka a sadhu.”
“ All should talk of me as good. Everyone should praise me. None should slander me. I shall earn fame in this world.” This is very sutle and the last obstacle on the spiritual path. Therefore say to God “O Lord Now whatever thought comes to me, I will consider it a You I have nothing in me that is mine….. Erase your ego and keep God as the witness. Divine help will then start pouring in. Our cunning mind has been deceiving us for ages: We will get exhausted if we struggle on our own. Hence seek divine help an pray to the Antrayamin Lord the supreme soul again and again. Thus once you embark on the divine path do not stop trying become you are used to the habit of falling down for lakhs of years and lives. So, you need not worry if you face4 or 5 failures in this life.
It is not a sin to slip or fall. There is carelessness associated with it but not walk agin agter that is negligence a sin. Sometimes sabhakas when they are unable to observe sabhaksa when they are unable to observe their vow, becomes disappointed and consider themselves s incompetent. At kilties when they are overcome by lust end anger they consider themselves as lustful, angry helps and incompetent an therby lose their enthusiasm. However, such sadhakas should keep in mind that they should not lose heart when they see the vices of lust anger avarice anxiety and sloth in them because it s good news that they can detect their vice at least To commit a fault is a mistake but to not see one’s fault is a big mistake. And to not admit it when someone is pointing it out is the biggest mistake. Sinners and criminals are reluctant to admit their crimes. They would say Hey What is Wrong in seeing a movie? What if we pick others’ pockets? It is our business we are not begging at least.” So those who aural sinners will see nothing wrong in those sins. A sadhaka a devotee with a pure heart sees his mistakes. The eye cannot perceive the collyrium applied to it. It only when it is at a certain distance form it. Similarly you cannot see a mistake if it is identified with you. Now when thesadhaka sees them he commits another big mistake by considering himself as incompetent. When we consider ourselves incompetent it hampers our abilities. Thank God when you see your faults,’ Lord Bu Your grace I can see my vice. These are not in me but in my mind. It is becomes they are in my mind that I can see them. My mind is becoming purified. If is your grace. Wow My Lord glory to Thee! Glorify the Lord mind will gradually be purified. This does not mean that you should continue committing mistakes. No do not let feelings of despondency and negativity careep into you nor abandon the path of God thinking, I am not eligible, I am a householder the spiritual path is not for me.’
The whole of mankind is entitled to freedom. Why even a prime minister, if he is pleased with his peon and wants to shower favors on him cannot appoint him as a district collector for which the peon should first have the eligibility to become an LAS Officer. Where even a prime Minister cannot commit such a mistake, how can God do so? Human life is given only to those who are eligible for salvation.
‘It (the human body) is fit for spiritual endeavors the gateway to deliverance.’
So when God has gives us this human body we should not nurture negative feelings. This body is not neat for indulging in sense pleasures gossiping, getting influenced by sorrows and pleasures and ruining our lives therby. No this human body is meant exclusively for salvation. So God has already given you the right to liberation. Now you too make some effort brother! All you have to do is pray for divine help ageing and again, listen about you Self god and realize god. The nature of God is described in Sri Vishnusahasranaman’ and Sri Narayan Stuti’ (A book published by the ashram a compilation of eulogies of Lord Narayana as described in the Bhagawat Purana.)’ One who has realize the nature of God will not remain without worshipping God/’
Lord Shiva says: He Uma who understands the true nature of Rama has no relish for anything other than His worship.’
(Sri Ramacharitmanas, Sunderkand )
Read Sri Narayan Stuti and experience the love Wisdom of Narayana. The mind and intellect too will be blessed with amazing and unique qualities
