My Lakshmi’s Displeasure

The ninth canto o Srimad Devi Bhagwat has it that once the great sage Durvasaja was on his way from Vaikuntha to Mount Kailash. Indra, the king of gods bowed his head in reverence as he saw him coming. Indra showed devotion and paid due respect to the sage’s disciples as well. The sage Durvasaji and his disciples blessed Indra and also gave him a beautiful pārijāta flower that was given to them by Lord Vishnu. Puffed up by the pride of royalty, Indra placed the flower, capable though it was of granting salvation, on the head of his elephant Airavata. As soon as Airavata received the touch of that flower, he became akin to Lord Vishnu in attractiveness, virtues, luster and state. Suddenly, he left Indra and made his way to the deep and dense forests. Indra was unable to have dominion over Airavata, equipped as he then was with great luster.

When the sage Durvasaji noticed Indra’s action of showing disrespect to that divine flower, he flew into a rage. In a fit of anger, he swore a curse on Indra, ”Oh you! I gave you this flower of the great pārijāta tree, the prasāda from Lord Vishnu. Our of conceitedness, you didn’t use it yourself and placed it on the elephant’s head! Propriety demands that one should immediately consume the sweetmeats, fruit or water that after being offered to Lord Vishnu is given to one prasāda. One, who rejects the sweetmeats etc. offered to Lord Vishun that one receives with great good fortune, is deserted by wealth and good sense. Indra! Because of the sin you have committed, may Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth desert you and go to Lord Vishnu.’’

Thereafter Indra saw that his kingdom, Amravatipuri was overwhelmingly dominated by ogres and demons. In view of the circumstances, he went to his Guru, Brihaspatiji and placing his head on his feet started crying bitterly.

After some tome, following Brihaspatiji’s advice, Indra meditated upon Lord Vishnu and alone with Lord Brahma and all gods went to Lord Vishnu’s abode. With tears in eyes, all gods started singing Lord Vishnu’s praises. Finding the gods in piteous conditions, Lord Vishnu said to them “Gods! Don’t be in fear. I will grant you freat wealth with all splendour that will never desert you. But I want to tell you something appropriate to the present occasion. Listen carefully.

“I along with Lakshmiji can never be I the house of one who displeases my uninhibited devotee that ever is engaged in adoring and contemplating Me – this is absolutely beyond doubt. If Lakshmiji is kind toward somebody and he maligns My devotees, Lakshmiji gets severely enraged and deserts him.

“One who doesn’t worship Me and eats on Ekadashi and Janmashtami, Lakshmiji deserts such fool as well. One who eats food offered by coward people, who without purpose splits straws or digs the earth with his nails, who is a pessimist, who eats at dawn, who sleeps or copulates in the day, who is devoid of virtue; my consort Lakshmi deserts such fools as well.

“Lakshmi that grants auspiciousness to all auspicious things resides at a place where account of My divine play are recited and the praises of My glory are sung. Lakshmi is always present where the conch is blown and where conch, Shaligram and Tulsin are kept and are cared for, worshipped and meditated upon. The lotus-faced saintly Lakshmi abides where virtuous Brahmins are served and where gods are worshipped.”

After sometime, with Lakshmi’s grace, gods were relieved of Durvasaji’s curse and recaptured their kingdom from the demons.

Pujya Bapuji says, “Success depends not on your resources but on sattwa. Those, who want to be successful with the help of guile and deceit or by sapping up others, may get money or funds but Lakshmiji doesn’t shower Her grace on them,. Those who engage themselves in japa, meditation, prānāyāma, who give a part of their income in charity, who reverently listen to satsanga in order to know the high purport of scriptures, get entitled to salvation.”

Such wise and God-loving people, who have faith, are blessed with a salvation be – stowing intellect equipped with divine bliss, divine knowledge and divine love. They become the redeemers of seven generations in their lineage. Blessed are those people who have faith!”

Seandal Mongers like Amrit Vaidya Exposed

Some opportunistic elements have taken on themselves to malign Param pujya Sant Shri Asaramji Bapu through their odious tricks and have to that end invented false stories in extremely deplorable and utterly futile attempts at tarnishing the whiter than white image of Pujya Bapuji. The attempts of these elements to mislead the society are being relentlessly carried out to date. But dailies published from Amdvad Nirmal Gujarat, Lokamitra, Karmaputra, Gujarat Pravah, Gujarat Mitra, Alpaviram, Bindu and others- tell us whatthe elements bent on maligning Bapuji are getting in return. It has been said, ‘ Tormenters of saints lose the three – lustre, vigour and family. This is what is happening to detractors of Pujya Bapuji. Someone is behind the bars; another is ready to abscond; some are facing discord and conflicts ate their homes; someone has become half-lunatic someone’s family members are seeking forgiveness; while the police are on the lookout for someone. Thus all these people are facing nature’s wrath.

News reports say that Rajesh Solanki, who schemed to malign Bapuji and Nagji Desai who caused damage to the Ashram in Bapunagar area at Amdavad have landed in jail thanks to their black deeds. Sukharam, the so-called ‘aghori’ who had leveled false allegations at Bapuji had claimed to be a disciple of one Gambhira Baba, said to be a descendent in the tradition of renowned saint Kinnaram. But enquiries to saint Kinnaram’s Varanasi Ashram have revealed that no disciple by the name of Sukharam or Gambhira Baba is connected to their duped by Sukharam had filed police complaints against him who is now absconding as the police are after him. People say that even the notorious Amrit Vaidya will soon be behind bars for his evil deeds.

Amrit aidya who had failed in running his own clinic had come to the Ashram after selling off all the effects at his clinic and converting the sale proceeds thereof into a Fixed Deposit in the name of his father. After some time, greed and dishonesty got the better of him and he started prescribing non-required and costlier medicines to patients coming to the Ashram and sending them to his own ‘Bhaktiyoga Pharmacy’ thus making them undergo costly and non-required treatment there. His primary objective became to extract money from patients coming out of faith in Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu. Even complaints of indecent behaviour towards female patients were received. Because of such behaviour, he was expelled from the Ashram. but he tendered apologies and continued to stay. when all this became to much, he was finally expelled and THE Ashram authorities refused to take him back whereupon he made it the aim of his back whereupon he made it the aim of his life to malign the institution that had nursed him and saints in general. The Ashram was constrained to caution the general. The public at large by giving notices in Vadodara’s ‘Sandesh’ dated 26th December 2005 and in Vadodara’s Divya Bhaskar’ dated 27th December 2005 that Amrit Vaidya had been expelled from the Ashram and that the Ashram would not be responsible to anybody dealing with him as someone connected to the Ashram. Thereafter Amrit Vaidya played another game to extract money from the Ashram. He claimed to be a salaried employee of the Ashram and demanded his salary for past months. But he was trapped in his own net. Amritlal had clearly said in his own letter to the Commissioner of ‘ Food and Drugs Regulation Authority’ Gandhinagar that he had been rendering honorary service in the Ashram. Such people lose no opportunity to become instruments in others’ hands and to mouth all sorts of nonsense against the saints. Shame on these renegade elements!

Discriminating readers! You must have by now understood the true colours of the selfish elements out to malign Pujya Bapuji and His Ashrams. Living in India, they are destroying Indian culture. This is what many wise men and newspapers say. Now all of them have been exposed and people have come to know the fate they have met.

Some channels and newspapers flashed headlines, ‘Sant Sri Asaramji Ashram at Bhavnagar bulldozed.’ Their trick failed miserably as the sadhakas all over the country were unfazed because they make phone calls and find out the truth and inform one another. It was not Sant Sri Asaramji Ashram but the land of ‘Shankar Mandir Public Trust’ at Bhavnagar that was bulldozed. Shri Shobhraj Maharaj is the founder of this trust. Even today if one visits Sant Sri Asramji Ashram in Budhel area at Bhavangar, one will find satsang, food - grains distribution, japa, Bal Sanskar Kendras etc. being carried out at the Ashram. This is one more in the series of false propaganda wherein the conspirators have been unmasked.

Good newspersons and newspapers wedded to truth are impelled by their very nature to save the society from being misled by exposing the elements inimical to culture and religiousness engaged in carrying out their malicious intent of maligning the saints. Some of the facts exposing the elements engaged in carrying out their malicious intent have come out. We may get more such news and startling facts in times to come.
Even as these elements are going all out to malign Bapuji and the Ashram, look at Bapuji’s magnanimity. In spite of all this, he only says, ‘May God be kind to these people as well! May God grant good sense to them! May God grant good sense to all!’

Friends! Readers! This reflects the saintliness of the saint! It is easy to shower expletives like ‘gunda’ and ‘killer’, but attaining to saintliness and living a saintly life requires tremendous amount of sacrifice. Making a show of social service is easy but rendering real service to the society is extremely difficult. Many hallowed activities are being carried out under the divine guidance and inspiration of Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu. Lakhs of people are being delivered from sorrow and disease; crores are attaining true Knowledge. Bapuji has done Indian culture proud in and outside the country. The great soul is above kith and kin, castes, creeds, sects and faiths. He belongs to all of us. If somebody, playing into the hands of alien powers, acts like throwing bones in the sacrifice of Bapuji’s divine endeavours, people will not allow it. Exposing such people and protecting Indian culture is the sacred duty of all of us. Come, let us cleanse the atmo0sphere of malicious propaganda and fill it with the fragrance of good publicity.

Saints Give a Wake-up Call to the Society

Ramaswarupdasji Maharja, President Akhil Bhartiya Chatussampradaya Akhada parishad, Vrindavan: In our supremely radiant saints who are great thinkers ascetics, and who residing in India light the way for the whole world, and to whom the world looks upto for guidance. Such saints are being attackede. False allegations are being levellled against Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu, a great Yugadrishta of the present era. How can all this be stooped? The Hindus of India, if not of the whole world will have to become united for this purpose.

Sant Sri Asarmji Bapu, a great preceptor and eloquent speaker is always seen proclaiming the clarion call of Indian culture to the world. Why is the saint being maligned through wretched newspapers and base TV Channels today? We must get to the root of the conspiracy. By and large, the highly accom0plished and competent saints have been selected for attack b because it is through them that the nation responds and gets its direction. Sant Sri Asaramji, Shankaracharyaji, Ramdvji and other saints who have great sway over the people, should instruct their followers to start their own News Channel and broadcast news impartially.

Brethren! The day you decide not to watch these corrupted channels, will be the day they die because your watching them sustains them; it is their life-breath. As soon as you stop watching, they are finished!

Swami Ramachaitanya Bapu, Chief Secretary Akhil Bhartiya Sant Samaj: India is a country that is known as ‘Mother India’. There is no other country that is given the honor of mother, and it is on this land that saints and Rishis are born. Therefore, we say, ‘Bharat Maata ki jai’ (hail to Mother India) but it is sad to note that today the saints are persecuted here; and cows are slaughtered too!

How much has Bapu (Sant Shri Asaramji Bapu) given to the society; he has never had any selfish motive. He has good wishes even for those who are speaking, writing or telecasting scandalous and derogatory news about him. If somebody makes false and malicious allegations against such a saint or casts aspersions against him we will not tolearate. Today, we need to wake up, we need to be vigilant. Conspiracies are being hatched against all the saints these days. We shall not tolerate it.

Mahamadaleshwar Shri Sunil Shastriji Maharaj: ‘This is the consequence of insulting a saint (Vibhishana). The city (Ravana’s Lanka) is being burnt like it has not master.
When nature takes things into its own hands, nobody can escape its fury. There is still time,. It is better late than never. Conspirators! Don’t harass the saints so much that the saints’ society would abhor or curse you.

Mahamandaleshwar Swami Parmatmanandji Maharaj, Vrindavan: Tulsidasji says, ‘The saints are saral (guileless). Today I am India and are going to say openly and with all the force at my command that there is no saint in the world equal to our Bapu, Sant Shri Asaramji. Our Bapuji is very saral indeed. The word saral has three letters ‘sa’ ‘ra’ ‘la’. ‘Sa’ ‘la’ stands for Sitaji, ‘ra’ stands for Ramaji and have darshana of Sitaji, Ramaji and Lakshmanaji, bow yourself at the feet of Bapuji. He is the greatest saintin the would, the holiest of all temples.

Our Bapuji is saral, and is the embodiment of Sitaji, Ramaji and Lakshmanji. Do you know who Sitaji, ERamaji and Lakashmanji are?

Tulsidasji says that Sitaji is the Bhakti (devotion) aspect of God; Lakshamanji is Vairagya (dispassion) aspect of God; and Ramaji is Jnana (Knowledge) aspect of Gos. What does this indicate? If you see Bapuji, you will know that he is the amalgamation of devotion, dispassion and knowledge. Bapuji was great, is great and will remain great forever.

So far as we at Vrindavan are concerned, I promise you on behalf of the chief of the Vrindavan Ashram that whenever a call is made, we shall not come as one or two, or a many as are required and wherever required. All the saints and mahants of Shrridham Vrindavan, Barsana, Gopa Govardhan, Gokul, and Mathura, unitedly pledge our solidarity with Sri Asaramji Maharaj.

Swami Madhusudanji Maharaj, Dadu Dinadayal Ashram (Dadu Sect), Rajasthan: Sleep not; time to be slack. Ponder over the question why people from other religions and some other wayward people who are conspiring against us, are targeting only our saints for malicious attacks? The saints are never maligned as these things don’t matter to them, but it has an extremely detrimental effect on us, Hindu brothers and sisters, because this culture of ours is founded on adoration, faith and Dharma. These people want to snatch it from us. Therefore we should be extremely vigilant.

Why is it that only the saints are accused? What do the saints give us? What have the Rishis always been giving us? It is samskaras, or teaching, samskaras and education have been given in Guraukuls since time immemorial. These people want to shatter the adoration and faith people have in the saints, such that life itself will be destroyed. Of what value would life be worth then? Therefore, these people want to weaken the society by destroying its adoration and faith in the saints.

So, we have to bring awakening; we have to be vigilant enough to see through the games of these people who are making false allegations and who want to find out the weak points of society to weaken it. Kindly consider what are the corner stones of our Hindu culture? It is founded on the Gita, the Ganga, Guru and the holy mother cow. Just think, if who will give Samskaras nd right education to the society? False allegations are being made as part of the numberless conspiracies hatched against the very saints who have renounced their homes and devoted their entire lives for the sake of the society! This is highly deplorable indeed.

Shri Jagjitan Maharaj, Chief Secretary Dharma Shikshamandal Varanasi: Adi Shankaracharya established four monasteries of Hinduism in the four quarters of India (Sringeri, Dwaraka, Badrinath and Jagannath Puri) and through them knit the entire country together with the thread of cultural unity. It has become likewise imperative that saintas all over the country should become united, and should work to unveil the conspiracies being hatched against them, thus exposing the evil intentions of the conspirators.

Pay no heed to the rumours, and don’t be misled by by people engaged in perverse talk and behavior out of their jealousy against the good work being done by saints and great personages of Sanatana Dharma. Have reverence for your Gurus and saints and give a fitting reply to the scandal-mongers by exposing their evil deeds. To thwart such evil intentions by coming together, is the neede of the hour. The attempts to break the integrity and culture of India, have to be foiled.

Mahamandaleshwar Shri Nagendra Swami, Chaitanyapeetha, Chhindwara (M.P.): First temples were demolished, now the majorities, our Hindus are being tricked into conversion and again the saints and great soul who come into our midst for propagating the Hindu religion are being made targets of malicious propaganda. This is what we are getting for our tolerance today., we will not near this insult.

Uddhavji Maharaj, Udgir (Maharashtra): Who are the masterminds behind the allegations being levelled against our beloved Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu, whois a revolutionary saint and is revered right across the glove? These masterminds are nothing other than foreign elements. It has awakened Hindus from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. We are not going to fear. We are nto alone. The conspiracy against Bapuji has awakened the society. It is time to stay awake, not to sleep.
Shri Yogendra Maharaj, Warkari Sect: We will have to come together to fight the attacks against saints of our Hindu Culture.
Other statements
Shri Ashok Singhal, Internations Chairman, Vishwa Hindu parishad: I came to know a few years ago that a well-planned plot had been designed to attack all the objects of faith of the Indian people, such as launching a campaign of character assassination against all major saints and attempting to destroy society’s faith in them. Shortly afterwards, we saw Shankaracharyaji being arrested for an alleged murder, a crime nobody could imagine he could have committed. Our entire Hindu society could never accept such allegations being made. All kinds of accusations were being made against him. The same thing is being done today against Sri Asaramji Bapu. Bapuji is a highly eminet and well-known saint who is engaged today in values in society. The entire Hindu society will remain ever indebted to him for the great work he has done in establishing the faith of the tribal people living in the forests into the Hindu Culture. Hindus will never be able to repay this debt. This great personage has set up various charitable service programmes in the tribal areas. Those who could not tolerate this, have tired to malign Him through the media, as they had earlier done to Shankaracharyaji. Efforts will be made to malign other saints also in future, though it will fail to have any effect on Hindu society.

All of us should became more vigilant toward the attacks being mounted on us from all sides and should propagate the good aspects of the saints, for this is the age of publicity.
Shri Mukesh Jain, Chairman, Dharmaraksha Dara Sena: Sena: The conspiracy that is raging against Bapuji impels me to exhort the people to proceed against these sinister elements. It is the primary duty of every Hindu to destroy such unrighteousness.

Shrimati Himani Savarkar, Chairperson, Akhil Bhartiya Mahasabha: Why should we tolerate false allegations being made against the saints? The scandalmongers themselves are liars and good for noting. They cannot achieve social good as the saints are doing. They don’t have the capability to do for society what Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu and other saints are doing. Therefore, they construct these false allegations and cause confusion. We must not tolerate it at all.

Satsang News (‘Rishi Prasad Correspondent’)

Noida (UP) 16th and 17th August: The festival of Rakshabandhan and Purnima of Shravan was celebrated in a unique style at the spacious ground at Noida. Longing for spiritual peace, lakhs of devotees of the Guru braved strong winds and rains to imbibe the nectar of Pujya Bapuji’s satsanga, the lovers of Pujya Bapuji ignored the external difficulties. They treated the smear campaign and the rumours spread by the detractors too with utter contempt. Not one or two, but the entire assembly in the pandal was enchanted by Pujya Bapuji’s darshana and satsanga.

Lakhs of devotees were availing themselves of the darshana and satsanga at the satsanga site, and an even greater number was doing so in their home as the satsanga programme was broadcast live by Shraddha TV. Channel.

As brothers and sisters were celebrating the pious festival of Rakshabandhan throughout the country, sadhakas and devotees were tying the thread of heartfelt faith around the Guru’s wrist and were safeguarding their lives against fear, disquiet, attachment and hatred.

The presence of devout devotees seemed to convey that the efforts of detractors were unable to shake the faith of devotees.
‘On the pious festival of Rakshabandhan,
lakhs of devotees arrived.
Trampling the smear campaign under their feet,
they lit the lamps of faith.’
Shri Dhiraj Ji, the Mahant of ‘Baba Balaknath Siddha Pitha, Noida’ also came to greet Pujya Bapuji. He refuted the slandering attacks on Pujya Bapuji and on the Indian culture. He severely denounced the anti-social elements engaged in a conspiracy to weaken India through the insulting treatment, false propaganda and baseless criticism mounted against Jayendra Saraswati, Swami Ramdev, Satya Sai Baba, Amritanandmayi Ma and many other saints, and warned people against such elements.

Janmashtami, Surat (Gujrat), 23rd and 24th August: The festival of Janmashtami which celebrates the incarnation of the author of the Gita, Lord Krishna, whose praises have been sung in Vedas, Puranas and Upanishads, who is untiringly eulogized by Lord Brahma and other gods, who is worshipped by the whole universe comes every year to fill us with joy and zest.

Lord Krishna, by the mere remembrance of whom, our mind is filled with bliss and self-awareness, says in the Gita – ‘Such great souls, (who behold the Lord in all beings,) are very difficult to find.’

Lakhs of devotees rapturously celebrated the festival of Janmashtami singing and dancing with joy in the satsanga of Pujya Bapuji, a saint of the class the Lord Krishna thinks to be very difficult to find. The people of Surat availed themselves of the great fortune of listening to the tattvic satsanga.

Lakhs of devotees availed double benefit of Janmashtami. They nourished their bodies with butter and sugar candy and their minds with the nectar of satsanga. The ritual of breaking the Mataki hanging overhead provided spiritual zest to the people and they became free from ego relishing the spiritual butter and sugar candy of Krishna Consciousness, Sachchidananda. Blessed way every soul in the satsanga programme!

The faces of all, young and old alike reflected the joy that permeated their whole beings. Sanskar Channel telecasted the grand celebrations live.
The false and vicious propaganda against Pujya Bapuji strengthened the faith of devotees even more. Their faith was metamorphosed into divine faith. Lord Krishna referred to such divine faith, when He said, ‘the one with faith attains Knowledge.’ Ashtavakra too was referring to the same when he said to King Janaka, ‘Have faith O Dear! Have faith.’ The devotees assimilated this message and celebrated Janmashtami in a perfect manner. Students of Surat Gurukul presented a spiritual group dance, displaying their talents adding joy to the Janmashtami celebrations.

I Request not to Hurt the Feelings of Devotees!

“I, Ajay Sharma, am living in the Ashram and are engaged in the divine work of uplifting the society. I am deeply hurt by the aspersions cast by my mother. I did CA (final -I), ICWA (inter), B Com (Hons.) from Delhi. I, of my own accord and after careful consideration, have been living happily and peacefully in Pujya Bapuji’s Ashram for the last 12 years. No hypnotism or tantra is being practiced here. I would not have stayed even for a minute if these things had been practiced over here. The Ashram people have not kept me in illegal confinement; rather, my people at home had done so. Once with the help of other family members and later with the help of some ruffians, they kidnapped me. First time I was locked up in a room, but I managed to escape from there. The second time I was fettered with a chain used for typing cattle. When I was successful in coning back to the Ashram even this time, my people now want to bind me with the fetters of marriage at the age of 40, which is totally unacceptable to me.

“Pujya Bapuji sent me home twice, and on the second occasion when I didn’t leave for home on the day I was told to, Pujya Bapuji admonished me the next day. I want to spend the whole of my life at revered Bapuji’s pious feet. I was mentally tortured by my family members beyond all limits. For a long time I have been tolerating all this. Now it has become unbearable. If somebody is free to choose an engineering or medical profession as his career, why should anybody have any objections to my choosing social service as the goal of my life?

“If I had gone abroad to earn money and had been remitting money to my people, it would have been acceptable to them, but my working for social service, national service, self-contentment and self-improvement is objected to by them. I would like to appeal to all to spare some time from their busy lives and experience the spiritual atmosphere here. You will realize how you have been wasting your life, giving it away for pebbles while it is worthy of the most precious jewels on earth.

“Great spiritual principles that are supremely beneficial and life-giving, which one only gets to read in the Gita, Ramayan and Srimad Bhagwat, are experienced living in the Ashram. I consider myself to be extremely fortunate and blessed. While participating in altruistic activities like bhandaras for the poor, Baal Samskar Kendras, de-addiction campaigns, distr8ibution of food-grains and clothes among the society, carried out under the inspirational guidance of Pujya Bapuji. Along with this, I am proceeding on the path to God-realization. To me, it is the most invaluable opportunity one can have in human life. I pray to all not to become part of the conspiracy to tarnish the image of Pujya Bapuji and the Ashram on this count, and to refrain from hurting the feelings of crores of devotees.

The Theory of the Three Humours

The wind humour (Vata) is responsible for all physiological activities of the body, the bile humour (Pitta ) for catabolic changes and the water humour (Kapha) for anabolic processers. When they are in the state fo equilibrium, they help the body gain in growth, strength, complexion and cheerfulness but when they are out of balance, they vitiate the 7 dhatus – rase (the first dhatu), rakta (blood) etc, As they vitiate other constituents of the body and thereby cause diseases, they are called doshas.

All the three humours permeate the entire body. Yet the wind humour is occupies the body below the navel; the bile humour occupies the part of the body above the heart predominantly.

The humours get increased and pacified naturally depending on age, season, part of the day or of the night and the food intake.
‘Kapha in childhood, Pitta in youth and Vata old age are naturally on the rise.’
(Ashtanga Hridaya: 1.8)
If the day is divided in three equal parts, Kapha increases in first part (6AM to 2PM), Pitta in the second part (10 AM to 2 PM) and Vatta in the third part (2 PM to 6 PM). Similarly if the night is divided in three equal parts, Kapha increases in the first part (6PM to 10 PM) Pitta in the second part (10 PM to 2 AM) and Vata in the third part (2AM to 6 AM).

Kapha increases immediately after taking food, Pitta during the process of digestion, and Vata after the digestion process is over.

Kapha is aggravated in spring (Phalguna-Chaitra), Pitta in winter (Bhadrapada-Ashwin) and Vata in the rainy season (Ashadha-Shravana) due to the seasonal variation.

The digestive fire (digestion and appetite) becomes irregular when Vata is aggravated. It becomes strong or weak respectively when Pitta or Kapha is aggravated.

The theory of the three humours is the foundation of Ayurvedic therapy. Its knowledge is essential for protecting health and eradicating diseases.
Salubuious in the Month ofr Bhadrapada
In the month of Bhadrapada, Pitta increases naturally. If it is not pacified in time it becomes the cause of diseases in due course of time. The bitter rasa pacifies Paitta. Threrfore consumption of bitter substances is prescribed in Bhadrapada. This taste is not likeable but if you take it, it becomes less distasteful. It eradicates the effect of toxins and destroys worms. It eradicates extra fat deposits in the body, metabolic wastes, faeces, urine and perspiration; Pitta and Kapha. It purifies the blood. Among bitter substances, bitter gourd, fenugreek leaves and seeds, turmeric, neem (Azadrchta indica), chiraita (Swertia chirayita), bale (Aegle marmelos) and giloy (Tinospora cordifolia) are salubrious. Parval (Tricosanthes dioica) is best ot be had in this month.
Curd and bottle gourd are strictly prohibited in Bhadrapada.

…So That You Become Alert

I live in my Jakarta, Indonesia. My previous name was Robert Solomon. Till 1997, I was a Father of Christian missionary and I was also a missionary, spreading Christianity. In August 1997, the church sent me to India to get more information about the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, (R.S.S.) and associated organization. Prior to this, I did not know about Hindu philosophy or Hindu thought and therefore did not believe in it. I was ignorant of Hindu culture. Being sent by the church, for two years I studied Hindu philosophy and Hindu thought.
.
After that, I came to the conclusion that India is a Hindu nation and the whole world needs guidance from India.
My mind and body are imbued
with the spirit of Hinduism
This spirit pervades every
never of my body
The soil of this land
is sacred as sandalwood.
Every valley resounds with the words,
‘Who can fight us?
Who is stronger than the
dscendants of Rama?’
Why are Hindus converted? Because they do not retort. Now, I am engaged in social service by propagating Hindu culture. The name ‘Asaram’ in itself is a holy name. A foolhardy attempt has been made to make allegation against our Sant Parampara. The words that have been used for Bapuji are extremely insulting.

I would like to make you aware of some of the agendas of Christian missionaries so that you may become alert. The main purpose of these missionaries is to control Indian politics. This is the reason why we are being attacked repeatedly. This is being done in the name of social service and thought some convent schools.
‘With great difficulty,
India has got her freedom.
We will not lose this freedom.
We will not forgive the
traitors living in the nation.’

Who Goes to the sea to Worship Ramasetu?

‘Who goes to the sea to worship Ramasetu?’ In answer to this question put by the Supreme Court, the former Central Minister and president of Janata Party Subrahmanyam Swami, said that one doesn’t go the sun when he worships the Sun god.

The Swami’s answer left the three magistrates on the bench (headed by the Chief Justice) completely dumbfounded. He explained to the court how the dredging Machines of Holland meant for digging Ramasetu were damaged repeatedly. He said that this was a question of the faith of one billion Hindu in the world. Even the cranes which were brought to extricate the broken parts of the dredging machine were broken. Finally, the official employed a crane with the word ‘Hanumana’ written on it. This too failed in extricating the broken parts. After this, a Russian dredging specialist was called who broke his feet during the operation. The judges smiled as they listened to these arguments of Dr. Swami. He said that the same thing was repeated after this. A legislator who got a pooja-patha ceremony arranged for this purpose, died due a heart-attack the very next day. After hearing this the judges were a bit perturbed and asked him what he wanted them to do. Dr. Swami replied, “My Lord! I want you to cancel the Setu Samudrem Project declaring Ramasetu as a question of faith and religious sentiments. We are not against a short water route between Srilanka and India, but let such a channel be chosen as would not harm Ramasetu.” During the course of the debate, Dr. Swami mentioned many such documents in which the government has acknowledge the existence of Ramasetu.

A book issued by the Prime Minister’s office has acknowledged the fact that Ramasetu is man-made. The Tamilnadu bound Shatabdi train also displays in writing the fact that the water of Rameshwaram has the blessing of the Lord Rama’s lotus feet, because it was from here that Lord Rama launched an attack on Lanka with the ape-forces to free Sita. He said that if the Tamil Nadu government can allow the jallikatt (bull-fight) to go on far the sake of the people’s sentiments and traditions, why can’t a separate route be chosen for making a canal and leave Ramasetu alone?

And now the ‘Aghori Fib!’

For about the last two months a vicious attempt is being made by certain parties to tarnish the image Pujya Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu. Failing completely in their attempt these people seem to be baffled and are adopting the meanest tricks of the trade of misled people. The ‘Aghori’ fib is the most recent example of this. Let the so-called Aghori first of all inform people whether he knows the maaran mantra for killing any person. If yes, let him kill at least a fly with this mantra. Claiming to have a pious intention of serving the people, why doesn’ot he kill the enemy of nation, the terrorists who have killed the hundreds of innocent countrymen with bomb blast? There is great religious merit in punishing the oppressors. Why does not the Aghori use his ‘Maaran (Killing) mantra for such a purpose? How ridiculous that a world revered saint with crores of devotees, who wants to reinstate India to her glorious past, should need the help of petty Bhang drinking Aghori to kill the slanderers of a saint! Pujya Bapuji’s gracious glance ameliorated the lives of lakhs of people; it gave new life to people on the pinnacle of equanimity beyond all the dwandwas (pairs of opposits) of honour and insult, attachment against even those who are making false allegations, spreading vicious rumors and making abominable attempts at character assassination. He extends His charity to all beings and wishes that God gives good sense to such people as well. This is saintliness – this is Bapuji’s greatness.

People should think it over – there is a limit to everyting. How many allegations have been leveled against Pujya Bapuji in the last two month! How much money must have been bribed to all these TV Channels and newspapers who are engaged single-mindedly in the pursuit of a vicious campaign against Pujya Bapuji! Taking advantage of the death of two Gurukul students is an ordinary accident; they are engaged in accomplishing their real objective. Such accidents are not so uncommon in the country. No other incident of this type is played up like this. Even if such news is published, it continues for 2 to 4 days or maximum a week. But here, thing are going on for two months! The reason is clear. There is hidden agenda. People who perceive Pujya Bapuji as a threat to their selfish interests, are desperately looking an opportunity to tarnich His image. The Gurukul incident was a heaven – sent opportunity for them and so they started their nefarious games.

On account of His public welfare activities, Pujua Bapuji’s fame was increasing with each passing day. The number of His followers has crossed the two crores mark. Millions of people have given up cold drinks, liquor and smoking following His teaching on how to refrain from addiction.

During the last 3-4 years, Pujya Bapuji has revived the Gurukul tradition. These Gurukuls have become successful in this short time. Many of these Gurukus produced 100% results in this year’s board examinations. At some place at many as 60% of the boys passed in the division. The Gurukul students obtained 80-85-90% marks. In these Gurukuls, highly competent teacher who have taken Mantra-Diksha from Bapuji impart education on modern lines based on the tradition on ancient Indian Rishis’ Gurukul system In tune with the modern age, there are arrangements for teaching English and computer science. Because of this, in Agra, for example, many students come to get admission but not all of them can be accommodated. There is nothing surprising in big school in big cities charging heavy fees and taking only selected brilliant students, thereby achieving 100% results. But achieving this in backward tribal areas where children are usually averse to the very idea of schooling, and with scanty resources and charging nominal fees is great achievement indeed. The Sirki Limadi Gurukul in Gujarat has accomplished this feet. This has been perceived by the missionary run convent schools as boding a grave threat to their future. They are unable to bear Pujya Bapuji’s growing eminence.

A number of welfare programmes are being run by Pujya Bapuji in backward tribal areas for the society and nation, such as:- providing food grains and other articles for day to day need to the poor and needs on ration cards; arrangements for food and higher education for poor tribal children; providing free food and cash wages Rs.30 in lieu of devotional practices to unemployed people; bhandaras, free housing for people adversely affected by natural calamities; distribution of food-grains and clothes Bal Samskar Kendras and Yuvadhan Suraksha (campaign for protecting the youth falling to sexual depravation). Till now, the missionaries’ conversion drive was going on in these areas rapidly. Their task of conversion by beguiling credulous tribal people through bribes and small monetary and other allurements has been hindered. It is no wander that these missionaries who are engaged in conversion and the propagation of dollars annually to provide secret help to this vicious campaign against Bapuji.

Some power-hungry political parties and politicians who hold their personal interest supreme are also perturbed by the ever-rising crowds in Pujya Bapuji’s satsanga, because they hold Bapuji to be near to a particular party. People from all parties come to Bapji’s satasanga and He showers His affection equally on all. But these narrow-minded selfish politicians are dividing Hindus and playing their political game by pitching one section of Hindus against the other. These antinational politicians, these enemies of society, are, through false, fictitious and misleading propaganda, mounting and assault on Hindusim and are making an abominable attempt to tarnish the image of saints who are engaged in awakening spiritual consciousness and willpower among the Hindus.

In the last few years, India’s prestige in the foreign nation has gone up. With their capability and competence, Indians have scaled new heights in industry, business and services. Many foreign powers are worried at the rapidly increasing influence of India and the number of His followers in many countries is constantly on the rise. Hence antisocial elements are becoming restless on account envy as well.

Because of the reasons mentioned above, these antisocial elements do not want the country to maintain its unity and move towards prosperity. It is these elements that have been associating with one another and sustaining the campaign of malicious allegation, rumors and defamation for so long. Today, newspaper and TV Channels have degenerated to such an extent that they can through any amount of mud on anybody for the sake of financial gain. Computer technology, modern photography and sound mixing technology have made such tremendous progress that you can distort any communication in the way you like. With heavy inducement, these newspaper and TV Channels can be easily bought. You yourselves can judge as to what could be the reason of for normal accident to be the cause of so much assault on the character of a pious man for such a long time.

The intelligentsia of the country should ponder over these facts and should identify there elements engaged in concocting false allegation against the saints, thereby alienating them from society, and should not be beguiled by them. If the scandal mongers make a hypo critic drunkard donned in black robes speak something against somebody, it is nothing extraordinary. For example a supari to kill six persons for just Rs.1.5 lakh and 5000 rupees as advance… these are nonsensical and baseless claims. They are deliberately designed to throw mud. Even one with average intelligence can examine these things and arrive at the truth. ‘Maaran’ mantras are meant for killing desire and anger, not people if somebody claims to be able to kill a person through mantra, it is a blatant lie. If mantras could kill somebody, Lord Krishna and Arjuna would have killed Duryodhana with mantras. There would have been no need for the battle of the Mahabharata. A supari of six people for a mere 1.5 lakh! What a fabrication.

‘Delhi is Still for Off’

The sufi saint, Nizamuddin Auliya used to avoid meeting tyrant kings and rulers who shed the blood of innocent subjects and looted them. Amir Khusro was the only person who was a disciple of Nizamuddin Auliya and was also serving in the court of Gayasuddin Tuglaq.

The king sent a number of messages through Khusro and others that he wanted to come to Nizamuddin Auliya’s khankah (abode). Each time Auliya refused. One day, he went to the extent of saying, “If the king enters through this door I shall exit through the other one.”

The king said to Khusro, “If you are not able to make Auliya willing to meet me, I will be displeased with you.”

Khusro said “If you are annoyed, I may only lose my life, but if Auliya is displeased, I will lose the very faith in God.”

The king was so annoyed that even while he was away from Delhi (and it would have taken seven day for him to rich Delhi), he pronounced the order, ‘Demolish the khankha of the Auliya.’

The kotwal, the chief police officer of Delhi was a disciple of Auliya. He would come to Auliya each day and tell him how far off the king was from Delhi. One day, he came running and told Auliya, “In three days, he will certainly arrive in Delhi.”

Each tine Auliya gave the same reply, “Delhi is still far off.”

Finally the kotwal, in a highly depressed mood, come to Auliya and said, “Tomorrow, the king will reach delhi.”

On the same day news came in the evening that Gayasuddin Tuglq was dead, as the heavy gate erected to welcome him collapsed on him and he was buried in the debris. He never reached Delhi..
It has been aptly said,
‘One who torments a saint loses his power,
strength and family line.
Many have vanished doing this like Ravana,
the Kauravas and Kamsa.’

The Avaricious Alexander Met His Doom in Delhi!
Alexander died on his way back from India to Babylon. Selucus, his army chief reached Babylon with his dead body. When the people there got the news of Alexander’s death, they were deeply distressed. Seeing this, Selucus requested Aristotle, (Alexander’s Guru) to console the people.

Aristotle said, “I knew my beloved disciple Alexander would be defeated in India, the land of gods, saints and rishis. I had told him that he should never to India with his dream of conquering the world, and that if he would go to India, he should bring the wealth of Knowledge from the rishis and saints. I told him to shun the idea of looting and conquering India and of bring gold, silver and jewels from there. But he never listened to me and so met his doom.”

When the heart and the intellect work in harmony, sadhana becomes a way of life.

Development of Life Energy

The Effect of the people around you and your physical environment: The life energy of a person decreases when he comes into with a person of low life energy. However, it is enhanced when he comes into personal contact with someone with a more developed life energy. A person with higher life energy tends to increase the life energy of all those who come into his contact, but when his own life energy depleted, he creates problems for others as well.
One slanders depletes his own life energy, whereas those who speak endearing and encouraging words enhance their life energy. If we are susceptible to law Life Energy we can easily pick up, like an infection, the emotional attitude that are “going around”. In ancient times, people used to less personal contact, and therefore their life energy was fairly high. But now, in urban life, our presence amidst thousands of people tends to diminish our life because most of the people are low life energy.

Radio, Newspaper, Cinema, etc. keep broadcasting or printing news about certain mishaps like food, fire, murder, theft, burglary, abduction etc. Such news tends to decrease our life energy. Looking at pictures of barbarians like Hitler and Aurangzeb also depletes Advertisements showing picture of people smoking also unknowingly decreases our life energy. Similarly, pornography and obscene picture in advertisements or cinema posters are detrimental to the life energy. However seeing the of god-goddesses, saints-seers, and great souls boosts the life energy unknowingly.

The Effect of Physical Environment: The use of all artificial things causes harm to our life energy.
Synthetic clothes such as terelyne, polyester etc. or goods made from rayon and plastic are detrimental to our life energy. But the garments prepared from natural fibers such as silk, wool or do not harm us. Hence we should use of synthetic under-wear that comes in direct contact with the body tends to decrease our life energy and may also cause cancer in the future.

Wearing sun-glasses, electronic watches and high-heeled shoes or sandals also decrease our life energy. Tissue papers with the chemical antiseptics, all synthetic and artificial perfumes in some way or the other have proved injurious to our life energy.

Drinking ice water also weakens the digestive power. Gazing at any florescent light or tube light diminishes our life energy.

About 3,500,000 chemicals have already infiltrated into our atmosphere, and hence this environmental pollution caused by industries also depletes our life energy.

If you remain unaffected by worldly attractions and intimidation, you will definitely command a tremendous influence on the world. Anyone, who doubts this, is a fool and a person of low intellect.

Personality and Conduct

A man’s personality is revealed only by his conduct. Some people indulge in futile action. Actions are of three types – motivated by desire, sans desire and futile. One should not indulge in futile actions. If should not be made fun of. Rather we should help him. This is self less service
Nobody should be spoken ill of. One who maligns another doesn’t the other one so much as he harms himself. One, who serves others, benefits himself more than he benefits others.
One should pay respect to those, who are higher or superior in age, knowledge or tapasya. Before you talk to somebody. Whoa are what he is. This is adeptness in behavior.
One with strong determination finds the way even in adverse circumstances. The japa and meditation done with unwavering faith and with firm determination affords immense benefit. One the strength of he resolve, Mirabai converted poison into nectar and a poisonous snake into a necklace of precious jewels. Mahavir Swami, with his determined efforts, attained to the Supreme State. Buddha too sat beneath the tree with a firm resolve and rose only after attaining his goal. Similarly, you too should take a vow of some daily spiritual observance and observe it with steadfastness.

Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviyaji’s Message to the Nation

Patriotic Parsis, Muslims, Christain and Jews should join hand in nation building activities. Our Bharatvarsha, known by the name of Hindustan, is a pious land. This nation – the giver of wealth, religion and happiness – is the best among all nation. It is said that even the gods sing its praise thus – ‘Blessed are they who are born in the land of Bharat, for they can obtain both, heavenly bliss and moksha (liberation)’. This is our motherland, our fatherland..
There are just three songs
To be contemplated.
Hindi, Hindu and Hindustan.
For those who desire the welfare of this world, it is imperative to protect and publicize this religion. On the whole of earth-plane the thing that is most dear is – religion that is the Sanatana Dharma.
The heart in which u abide,
where is the place for fear?
Let my head be lost,
O Lord, let me part not with my dharma.
He who protects his dharma,
is protected by the Lord.
There was a time when Bharatvarsha obliged the whole world, not only with his religion and spirituality, but also with its knowledge of science, art, trade and industry. It is regrettable that with the passage of time all this progress has declined, as can be seen in the recent times.

It is the firm belief of many of the critics and analysts of the current turn of present circumstances is momentary and if the Hindu race has to service, it has to be fully prepared. Since years the mental orientation of the Hindu has been more inclined towards nationalism than religion. The Hindu believes in Truth, Love and Non-violence. He lacks the tendency for war is averse to fighting. Taking undue advantage of this tendency, the tyrants have been suppressing the Hindus. Hindus should become fearless, brave and strong.

The Hindu majority should rise against the onslaught of this epidemic that has come like a warrant of death. The alarm bells have started ringing. There can be no tolerance towards those who do not want to let Hindus live in peace. Hindus should adopt a military outlook and ensure that the defense arrangement is so strong that any attempt at invasion is definitely rendered ineffective. Self-respect should be so full of bravery that any visible attack is also thwarted. Hindus should be inspired to fulfill their obligation towards the Hindu brethren. They should be installed with the filling of being fortunate that they are the followers of those Rishis and great men who aspired to transform this earth, the adobe of humans, into a heaven; and realizing the whole world as one family who propagated the spirit of universal brotherhood.

A Hindu should definitely serve another Hindu. The call of hour of Hindus is to protect themselves against the barbaric invasion, spurious political propaganda and deceitful imagination of reconciliation, so that they can save their religion, their culture and preserve their population. If the Hindu do not defend themselves, they will become extinct. If they do not unite, their destruction is imminent. They should muster courage and confidence. They should love each other as brothers and be tolerant towards each other, but never towards those who do not want them to live peacefully.

I consider it my duty to inspire in this manner, as I believe that at present humanity is at stake. Hindu culture and religion are in danger. It is a situation of crisis and the time has come that Hindus unite, strengthen their means of service and support, secure themselves and assert authority.

Not only in the name of religion and culture, but also in the name of our beloved motherland, I appeal to all Hindus that is they aspire for the perpetual peace and if they wish to convey a message that people of other races and would pay attention to, then they should unite and protect themselves. If people of other religions and races want to co-exit in peaces with the Hindus, then they will have to respect the religion of the Hindus.

So long as man is distraught with worries and he remains restless on account of his craving and subtle desires, the brilliance of his intellect cannot manifest itself. The intellect, so bound, is unable to function properly. Once the desires, the chitta becomes free and fresh, whereby the intellect has ample opportunity for its proper development. The five-fold (five elements of Nature) physical bondage is then severed and the pure Self shine in its pristine glory.

The Cardinal and Supremely Beneficent…

Divine sage Narada said to Shukdev, “See the defects in the objects to which u have developed an affinity or passion’ because if the affinity believed to increase harm, then the mind become dispassionate to it instantly. Lamenting over past event does not bring religious merit, wealth or fame. On the other hand it reduces them, and the grief is not over come. Rather it is aggravated more and more.

“Good objects are acquired by all creatures and are bound to leave them as well. This is the universal law. Separation from the desired object is the only cause of grief. One who grieves for the death or loss of one’s beloved is actually multiplying his sorrow. Thus one who grieves in undesirable circumstances suffers double grief, but one who does not grieve is saved from all grief. Those ponder over the inevitable dualities of good and evil, and pain and pleasure in this world, nether lament nor grieve over the separation of a beloved one. Those who behold this world thoroughly as it is, never lament.

“If removal of physical pain produces mental agony and there is no way out, one should neither worry nor grieve. The best way to eradicate sorrow is to avoid tension because tension does not reduce sorrow but rather increases it. Therefore to be indifferent to it is the best solution.

“Relive mental agony with the help of lofty thoughts and cure physical ailments with the help of medication - this is the duty of the wise. In times of sorrow, do not be distressed like the unenlightened ones Youth, beauty, long life, accumulation of wealth, health and contact with the desired objects, are all impermanent and not everlasting. Therefore the intelligent, learned person should not get enamored with them.

“The great thinkers and scholar, who have read heard about past real stories and thoroughly scrutinized them, have finally come to the conclusion that there is more sorrow then happiness in human life. Undoubtedly it is the right conclusion. Beings are threatened by death only because of delusion and passion for objects of sense pleasure. One who remains indifferent to worldly happiness or sorrow becomes a jivanmukta, liberated while living. Such people are considered to have crossed the ocean of grief by the scholars. Man suffers extremely at the loss of wealth and riches. The preservation or guarding of wealth brings no happiness, and one should not grave predicaments for the acquisition of wealth. Therefore, one should not grieve over the loss of such wealth; because when the thing which gives pain gets destroyed, the pain it produces is also destroyed.”
Pure and detached, you are the one
without from and colour;
Devoid of the three bodies, you are the
external witness without organs.
A reservoir of peace and bliss,
the Self is Bliss Absolute.
Why do you forget yourself?
There is no duality in you.

Satguru –The Only Supreme Benefactor in the World

Espousing the benignity of Sri Satgurudev in the tenth chapter of ‘Jnaneshwarji Geeta’ Saint Sri Jnaneshwarji Maharaj relates:

O My Revered Gurudev! Only your majesty is competent of bestowing the realization of the ultimate truth upon a being. You are the evolution of the lotus of true knowledge. Your divine radiance annihilates the ignorance of this mundane world. Your form is limitless. Your power is infinite. I bow unto thy Lotus feet!

You are the benefactor of the entire universe. You are the cornucopia of jewels that is symbolic of beneficent auspiciousness. You are the aromatic fragrance sandalwood realm of nobility. You are the only god worthy idolization. As the moon placates and pacifies a Himalayan partridge, exactly in the same manner, you appease the quest of sagacious being with the nectar of supreme knowledge.

O my Satgurudev! You are an ocean of elixir drawn from the knowledge of revered scriptures. You earnestly destroy the intense desire of passion in beings that in turn is responsible for the dissolution of the entire conscious world. Therefore my revered Gurudev, I pay my obeisance to you. You are the devastator of the coliseum of the world in which being wonder like an arrogant elephant. Therefore I reverently bow before thee!

When your benevolent world shower their compassion on a dumb person, they can make him competent enough to debate resolutely with Lord Brihaspati, the refulgence of your gaze or the affable touch of your blissful hand bestows upon beings the ultimate realization of the True Self.

How can I, with limited tools of worlds even dare to describe my Gurudev whose deeds are so overwhelming & stupendous? Can anyone smear the sun with sandalwood paste? How far can the ‘Kalpvriksh’ (a mythological plant that is supposed to grant all desires) be adorned with blossoms? How can anyone dare to extend his hospitality to ‘the ocean of milk) by serving it delicacies? Can sandalwood be smeared with any other paste? Can the sky be uplift further by any means? Exactly in the same manner, no method could be deemed capable enough for precisely estimating Revered Satgurudev’s benevolent deeds, and above all, from where could we find such an instrument?

After deliberate reflection of all these facts and without any gabbiness, I’ve reverently surrendered myself at the lotus feet of my adorable ‘Satgurudev.’ If anyone has the audacity to proclaim vaingloriously that he possesses the acumen of given an accurate account of Sri Satgurudev’s power and competence, I believe this to be analogous to that of covering a gleaming pearl with a coating of mica. Evan such a one’s invocation of Sri Gurudev would be similar to that of gilding pure gold with silver coating. So, it is prudent to surrender oneself quietly at reverent Satgurudev’s adorable feet.

My intellect, which was earlier dominated by certain corporeal conception, now by your divine grace, has turned into Elysium Bliss. How can I dare to express the virtuous deeds of my revered Gurudev when they are all so phenomenal, infinite and transcendental? Still, somehow I’ve ventured to espouse a few of them. O my adorable Gurudev, I humbly seek thy remission for my impudence.

Dependence and happiness cannot Co-exist

One of the main reason for our unsteady mind is the inferiority complex. When we consider ourselves inferior to others, the feeling of lowliness gets ingrained in our mind. We start counting our shortcomings that we do not have such and such thing and we think that these transitory objects would give us peace and joy. We unknowingly regard our selves as inferior evaluate other above us.
O child of God! You are unaware of your strength, bliss and consciousness. That on which u cast your loving glance becomes dear to you. You are the immortal son of the Dear Supreme Soul. Om Bliss Om Sweetness…

Wherever you see anything good, in its depth is your own consciousness, it is verily you. Don’t curse yourself. Do you have to go anywhere and attain anything to be happy? O Bliss personified! O Absolute Consciousness! O immortal son of God!
‘Rare is that great soul, who see the one Lord Vasudeva everywhere.’ Let your thinking be in line with that of such a great soul who has experienced the omnipresence of Lord Vasudeva. Be one with his experience.

Om Vasudeva … Om Narayana…
Om Acyutaya Govindaya Anantaya
Om Acyutaya Govindaya Anantaya

One who never trusts one’s own knowledge, intellect or deeds; and always others their role model for their knowledge, intellect or deeds inevitably develops an inferiority complex which leads to frustration dissatisfaction.
Their consequent dull and drab behavior starts exhibiting queer patterns of craving for various worldly objects. Such experience of inferiority ultimately results in a life of dependence.
It is aptly said, “Those who are dependent cannot get happiness even in dream.”

If a man wants to attain a salvation in this very life, he must do the work of thousands of years in a single life, He will need to move much faster than time. One experience praise
and insult, ‘mine’ and ‘yours’, good and bad in a dream. But once he is a wake, they all cease to exist. Likewise, one has to experience of the world in the waking state. Once you come to realize and understand this, you have a accomplished the work of thousands of years. The petty samskaras of thousands of years, the illusion of ‘mine’ and ‘yours’ will all be obliterated, once you find a Saint who can instill this knowledge in you.

When a person becomes a lover his True Self, the worries regarding livelihood, thought about women and the painful memories of enemies cease to exist.

To look at oneself from the perspective of others, not knowing one’s own true nature is the root cause of all sufferings. The desire to project a good image of one’s self is in itself a social vice.

The Great Poet-Devotee Ganga

The great poet Ganga was a court-poet of Emperor Akbar. All the other poets in Akbar’s court used to sing paeans for Akbar. But Ganga was a fearless poet. His poems were full of devotion to the Lord. He never recited a poem in praise of Akbar, which didn’t go well with the king.

Once Akbar reproached Ganga in the open court, “O great poet! You have delighted me by reciting excellent spiritual poems from time to time. But you have never recited a poem in the praise of me. I am the king, the benefactor of all. I can make anybody rich and prosperous and can destroy anybody if I so decided. Please write a poem with the ending, ‘….all should pray to Akbar to satisfy their desire.’’’

Akbar had made it clear that the poem should be in his praise. Those jealous of Ganga were greatly pleased within. The poet Ganga composed a short poem then and there and recited it in the open court:
‘One who sings praises of another,
forgetting the one God,
the tongue of that prattler
should be cut off.
The world today crawls to the king
to get a gift from Akbar.
Ganga is the devotee of
Lord Krishna alone,
and therefore is not afraid of any king.
Those who don’t have
trust in Lord Krishna,
they all should pray to Akbar
to satisfy their desires.’
As he heard these words, Akbar flew into a rage. He said, “You will pay dearly for this affront.’’
The great poet retorted fearlessly:
‘Lord Krishna is a horse,
you are a donkey.
I have said what I wanted to,
do whatever you can.’
Fining this golden opportunity, the sycophants added fuel to the fire. The emperor pronounced the judgment, “Let the poet Ganga be trampled to death under the feet of an elephant!”
He was brought in front of an elephant. Proceeding towards the elephant unconcerned and in a jubilant mood, he said:
‘The spineless can never go to the battled field like a hero, nor can they ever win. (That is only the fearless and brave people can fight battles and assert the truth.) I bless all the courtiers and take leave.’
Thus he was trampled under an elephant’s feet and departed from the world remembering Lord Krishna. The fire of Akbar’s anger was not cooled even with this. He ordered the whole family of the poet Ganga to be trampled under the elephant’s feet.
After a few years, Akbar found a poem written by Ganga:
‘A Dumb fellow can not
understand a profound utterance.
A she-buffalo doesn’t care
whose fields she is grazing on.
Listen King Akbar,
says the poet Ganga.
An ass doesn’t know the worth of the
water of the holy Ganga.’
As he read this verse, Akbar was regretful for he had killed a great poet and devotee of the Lord.

The Saint Exist to do Good to Other

‘A tree never eats its fruits; a river never drinks its water. The saints exist to do good others.’ As a tree never eats its fruits and a river never drinks her water, likewise the saints live not for their own selfish ends but for the welfare of other. Though people maybe envious of the saints’ fame and reputation and try all sorts of tricks to blemish them, yet unmindful of all this, the saints spend their whole life in altruistic endeavours. Their life is spent only in delivering mankind from sorrows and filling people’s hearts with peace and bliss.

There lived one such great saint in the province of Sindh – Sai Teunram. People experienced great joy in his company. He had the hypnotic power of love and benevolence which can be found in Bapuji as well. He had the power of infusing peace and bliss into people through a mere glance. Not old men and woman but the many young people too came to his satsanga. His rising popularity and people’s love for him caused animosity in the minds of some so-called social reformers. Social reformers are two types. One kind is that of noble men, and the there are people who are envious of other people’s fame. They want to become famous by hook or by crook. Some such people of malicious minds started vicious propaganda against Sai Teunram. The malicious campaign gained momentum and become so powerful that some good but credulous people stopped going to see Sai Teunram.

The good people of that time committed a grave mistake. They thought, ‘What does it matter to me? Those who sow, shall reap the result!’ But why should the evil slanderers be allowed to sow sins and thus reap the harvest of misery? Before that they should be put wise so that they are saved from sinning and suffering, and the society too is saved from being misinformed. Anyhow the slandering and vicious propaganda against Sai Teunram became so strong that a resolution was passed by the municipality that the parents of the boys and girls who went to Sai Teurnam Ashram had to pay a fine of five rupees was a big sum of money, as gold was priced at 60 rupees a tola (13 grams). Some people with weaker minds told their sons and daughters not to go to Sai Teunram’s ashram. Some boys and girls stopped, but those who recognized the worth of the saint’s ambrosial words, were not to be held back. Their souls cried out:

‘The world has not the power to hold us back.
The world depends on us;
We are not dependent on the world.’

A smoker doesn’t abstain from smoking; a drunkard does not abstain from alcohol; a gambler doesn’t stop gambling; then how could those wise, satsang-loving boys and girls stop going to their Guru’s Ashram? Though the resolution of a fine of 5 rupees was passed, true devotees didn’t stop going to Sai Teunram’s Ashram.

We have a desire in our minds to please anybody who is worthy of our reverence. Whether it is Lord Rama’s devotee, Shabari or Lord Krishna’s devotee, Meera, they both had a desire to please their revered lords. Sai Teunram’s devotees were always eager to please their Guru. They offered flowers, sacred leaves etc. to their guru according to their capacity to express their gratitude towards him. This aroused malicious feelings in the hearts of the wicked. That is why they had passed the fine of five rupees in addition to maligning the saint. Some fickle minded people stopped coming. But there were others, lovers of Sai Teunram, who continued to come to Ashram. Those who tread the path of god-realization are truly brave. Thousands of obstructions and impediments cannot deter them from pursuing their goals. All rumors and slandering fails to distract their hearts from their devotion to their Guru, because they recognize in full the glory of the Guru and the significance of His grace.

Shri Ramakrishna Paramhamsa had unwavering faith in his Guru, Shri Totapuri. Once somebody came to him and said, “Totapuri is eating at the house of such and such a woman and you have made him your Guru?”

Shri Ramakrishna said, “Shut up! If you utter even a single derogatory world about my Guru, you will have to repent for it.”

“But I only wish for your own good. You used to converse with Ma Kali. In spite of being so great, you accepted Totapuri as your guru! Think again. He is just an ordinary man.”

Shri Ramakrishna retorted, “Even if my Guru goes to a wine shop, he is Lord Krishna for me.”

This is true faith! Such people find liberation. The rest are drowned midstream. So the lovers of Sai Teunram found ways and means to reach their Guru. If the parents had to go out for some work, they would tie their children to the legs of the beds, and keeping them in veranda would lock the house from outside to stop them from running away to the Ashram. However, the satsanga-loving boys and girls would break the beds and go to Sai Teunram’s Ashram with the bed-legs tied to their hands and then Sai Teunram and the other sadhakas would untie them. The detractors were nonplussed when they saw people going with cot-legs tied around their hands.

Sai Teunram also used to grow food-grains in his Ashram. When the detractors found that their plan has failed they got another order passed that no shopkeeper should buy anything from Sai Teunram’s Ashram, otherwise the offender would be fined. When this failed to dent Sai Teunram’s equanimity and forbearance, and the faith of his devotees remained unwavering, the wretched sinners poured kerosene into the well that the Ashram people drew water from. What a height of wretchedness! What terrible tyranny! But Sai Teunram was very firm.

Saints are made no weak stuff. They have the potency of playing on the Lord’s chest. Many a time, God has gone back on His vow to keep the word of His devotees and His saints. To get Bhishma Pitamah’s resolve fulfilled, Lord Krishna broke his own vow of not wielding a weapon in the battle of Mahabharata.

The vicious propaganda against Sai Teunram shook the faith of weak minds, but the love and affection of his devotees went on increasing day by day. Sai Teunram used to deliver satsanga sitting on a platform in his Ashram. Other saints used to visit him too, and the platform turned out to be inadequate. His devotees therefore made the platform bigger and this made his opponents burn with even more envy, and so they called tehsildar. He said that the platform had been built in an unauthorized manner and had narrowed the road resulting in hardship to users of the road, and therefore the platform should be demolished. He registered a case against Sai Teunram and told him to present himself in the court the next day. But Sai Teunram didn’t appear in the court at the appointed time. The next day when Sai Teunram came back after taking a bath, he found that the platform had been demolished! The saints may tolerate, but nature will not tolerate affront to a saint. After some time that tehsildar was transferred. The new tehsildar was a devotee of the lord. He got the platform re-erected.

Those who wanted to malign or insult Sai Teunram did not succeed. Some of the people who tried to defame him and tarnish his reputation, repent and begged forgiveness. While nobody, knows which hell the others might have fallen into! However, the fragrance of Sai Teunram’s pious fame is still spreading in all quarters sanctifying countless hearts even to this day.

The words of the Guru, who is a jivanmukta, are verily the sacred scriptures. When put into practice they become religion. The manorajya of a jivanmukta is the divine play of God. His very Self is Brahman.

Those Who Insult Saints are the Ones Who are Insulted

It is none but the Guru who protects us from troubles, who saves us from treading the wrong path, who teaches us how to tread the right path. If anybody, anywhere, tries to insult such a Guru by any means; if a finger is pointed at a saint, then be sure that the finger is pointed at our culture, at us.

Pujya Bapuji has given love to all. With Bapuji’s grace, Indian culture is undoubtedly, continuing. As Bapu claims, no one can stop India from becoming World Guru in 2011AD, but we have to be alert and cautious. People are ready to attack us stealthily. Our Gurukuls are censured. Therefore, certainly now let us become alert.

Whether Bapu believes Himself as God or not, we people believe him as a personification of God because he has taught us how to live, how to die, how to follow the duty of a house holder. Prostrations to such a Bapu, prostrations to such a civilization! In all the gurukuls that are inspired by Bapu, children are taught about and inspired to follow Indian civilization.

What we are supposed to do is to translate His teachings in our life and imbibe His grace to experience the same everywhere gradually. Just as God has said: “We don’t have to be meek or scared, we don’t have to ask for anything, and we don’t have to become escapists.”

Today, though it may seem that the sun, the light is hidden, covered behind the dark clouds of defamation but mind well, the sun never gets clouded; a saint is never insulted. Those who insult saints are the ones who are insulted. This is an undisputed truth.

Don’t Become a Vehicle for Exerting “Mass Pressure”…
- Chief justice of India Shri K.G. Balakrishnan

The tendency of newspaper and news channels to carry unverified reports poses a danger to a free and fair constitutional judicial process.

The manner in which the modern media and telecommunications intruded into a person’s life and caused embarrassing and damaging publicity, if left unchecked, would become “alarming”.

Chief justice of the Supreme Court Shri K.G. Balakrishnan was delivering the fourth K.S. Rajamony Memorial Public Law Lecture on “Constitution, media and courts” in Kochi.

The “media trial”, conveying public opinion in favor of one side or the other, particularly in criminal matters, and become increasingly frequent in recent times. Even before the court trial began, the accused was being shown as guilty. This questioned the very premise on which the judicial system was based – the right of every party involved in a court proceeding to have his case adjudicated in a free, fair and unbiased manner.

The media are a sentinel of democratic freedom. It is the responsibility of every person associated with the media to act responsibly with a sense of duty towards society and the nation. In fact, journalists used to be “vigilant watchdogs of civil liberties.” The right of the media also has the duty to report fairly, objectively and accurately. He said the media should be wary of allowing itself to become a vehicle for exerting “mass pressure” as opposed to a “mere expression of mass opinion.”

Many cases exist in India where the media has conducted elaborate interviews and discussions regarding the guilt of the accused in a manner that created public pressure, rather than public opinion. Publicity is necessary, but that which is responsible and unbiased.

Where is the sword that can kill me? Where is the weapon that can wound me? Where is the calamity that can vitiate my cheerfulness? Where is the sorrow that can destroy my happiness? Now all fears have disappeared. All doubts have vanished. My day of triumph has arrived. No worldly even can disturb the tranquil state of my mind. I do not lose or gain anything on account of these worldly ups and downs. I have neither hatred for enemies nor love for friends. I am not afraid of death, nor scared of destruction. I have no passion for life, no desire for pleasures, no fear of pain, because all this is in the mind and mind itself is but an illusion.

This is a Conspiracy Nothing Else!

It was Sankaracharyaji and now it is Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu – some ordinary thing is taken up and without getting to the root of the matter and searching for the truth, it is the propagated to disgrace their name. It is highly unfortunate. It should also be taken into account as to how many as to how many poor people have been helped by the Asaram, how many have been benefited by the distribution of food, and to many students thousands and lakhs of notebooks have been distributed. Many time he asked me to accompany him to distribute sweetmeats, books, etc in the tribal areas. He wanted to get some books distributed by me. See, how much society has benefited from him, how much support has been given to life – all this has been completely ignored. Even this should be taken into account. Our own people join hand with the media and everything is magnified.

If one is committed to look at the faults alone, one can fined thousands of faults in a great soul, you or me, or even in God.

Look how much Bapuji Has mortified himself for the sake of society! How much contribution he has given to the society! How much life he has infused into society! Why don’t you enquire into the benefits that thousands and lakhs are deriving from him? What is being done to such a saint is not good for Gujarat, not for India. Ramayana has it the punishment for sinning against a saint is instant, delayed for some time. The fruit of satsanga that it ‘gives instant benefits’ instantly not after one or two or five years. Similarly, it is said about sinning against a saint.

‘O Parvati! Listen. Disrespect to a saint destroys all changes of good.’

So this is extremely harmful, and in my opinion, only he who himself is a true saint can decide who a true saint and who is a hypocrite. If somebody says that a saint should not have this or that attribute, or he should not do this or that thing… if you know what kind of attributes a saint should have or what a saint, is then first become a saint yourself. One who knows the definition of a saint will himself become a great saint. So one who says, ‘a saint should have this quality, he should not have that attribute; is only indulging in intellectual jugglery. And when politicians or other with vested interests join the fray, they fail to see a true saint blinded as they are by the veil of selfishness!!! What a deplorable fact! A saint will forgive. Electronic media which is being watched and listened to bye crores should side with the truth; it should worship the truth.

This is clearly a conspiracy to divide the country. There may foreign elements involved in it; that is why it has become possible. It is definitely a conspiracy, and it will be goods for us to awaken our people this subject lest they lose faith in their Dharma, their scriptures and their Gurus. Otherwise they will be deprived of the vital keys which they get from some saint which make their lives accomplished! To that end we go to satsanga etc. If lose faith in that, how can we succeed? It looks like it will harm the saints (or the faith that people have in the saints will be destroyed) but in the ultimate analysis, it will be the ones who are conspiring against the saint and Sanatana Dharma, who will meet with destruction. God himself descendants of Sanatana Dharma. There is the description in Srimad Bhagwat of an incident when Ashwatthama fired the Brahmastra to kill Parikshit, the only descendants of the Pandavas, and Lord Krishna saved him. The lord saves the descendants of the Sanatana Dharma destruction. Those who are bent upon destroying it will themselves be destroyed. But we should not remain inactive. Our inactive is the case of the punishment we suffer. It is not the activity of wicked people that is dangerous for us; it is our own inactivity that is so. (Don’t be passive. Fight bad publicity with good publicity. Make efforts to get justice)

The biggest question is that how come all these things are coming up together now? Why are all those people who are alleging that injustice was being meted out to then ten years ago, now saying so? Those who are relating an incident which occurred 5 years ago, that such and such a thing had happened in his ashram or such and such an incident took place ten years ago; why didn’t they say so at the time? Well! There sure is some thing behind all this. After that single incident of those two children, which sure was a tragic event, everyone jumped into the fray. This is because there is somebody who is supporting them from behind; which mean it is a conspiracy no doubt.

Take any person; there will definitely be some people who are displeased with him, and it can be any saint or great soul. Today, for instance you or me – is everyone pleased with us? Some person may desire a certain position, and if we don’t give it, he will surely nurture hatred in his mind. If one doesn’t get the desired job or positioning the ashram he gets displeased, and displeased people will concoct any tale when it to be understood here is that it is only a reflection of his displeasure. When people see that their desires are not fulfilled, they seek some opportunity to trouble or defame others.
