Wear a cap An Easy way to Guard your Head
It is absolutely imperative for health to guard the had form the sun. Moving about in the sun with head uncovered gives rise to diseases of brain eyes moose and ears. Hot winds and rain water falling on the had give aeries to member of diseases. Exposure to sun has harmful effect on the brain cells which adversely affects memory.
In olden days our forefather used to routinely wear a cap or a turban and women very their heads. This saved them form untimely graying of the hair baldness, clod and cough headache and form diseases of eyes ears and nose. • Man is superior to all creatures. He is superior to even the gods for even the latter have to take birth on earth humans in orders to attain salvation.
• There are two principles to be free form worries. First completes the work that is mercenary and secondly forget what is unnecessary.

Our Beloved Bapuji Listens To the cry form the Heart

A thousand solutions at Pujya Bauji’s lotus feet!
The company where I am working had issued orders for transfer of all 50 of its employees in the Delhi Brach to Dehardun with effect form 2nd of April 2009, a month in advance. In the meanwhile, Bapuji’s satsang was declared for 9th and 10th April in Buradi, (Delhi). By your grace I got the seva of guiding the satsang goers to the satang site. I mentally prayed to Bapuji and the concerned officials of the company had to change their minds.
All the employees were to report at Dehradun on 2nd Aprils but on I April the officials and the owner of the company called all the employs and postponed the transfers for the time being. All the employees are very happy and I am happier still for Guru’s grace has saved me form beings deprived of seva of satsang lovers.
A thousand salutations to you form all of us!

* Once a large ocean wave ridiculed a bubble at its minuscule size. The bubble retorted, “O Wave I am indeed very small but very happy. In a matter of moments my form will disintegrate, I will assimilate myself with the water and become water itself. From small I shall become gigantic. My liberation is at hand. I indeed pity your condition. You have grown so large that your salvation is a distant dream. “You will rocks. You will be broken into several small waves and form those small waves you will further disintegrate into innumerable bubbles. And it is only when all these bubbles burst that you will be free. The what makes you proud of your gigantic form?”

Guru’s Grace Showered through Holi Colours

My Name is Mamta Singh. My husband is a scientist in India space Research Organization (ISRO). My son Gaur is six and a half years old. He had gall stones. I consulted the best of doctors know to me but they were unanimous that the gall bladder needed to be removed by surgery. I was in great trouble. I went to Bhopal Memorial Hospital and consulted a doctor there. He told me to get the child a minted and get him operated urgently otherwise it can cause serious complications. Thought I had not taken mantra diksha, I had been devoted to Pujya Bapuji for about a year and a half. I had a flash of inspiration that we should go to sutra to attend the Holi Shibir held by Bapuji. I went to attend the Holi Shibir along with my husband and so Gaurav an there we took mantra diksha. I was privileged to get sprayed with Colours sprinkled by Pujya Bapuji. What happened after wards proved that it was Bapuji grace that had been that it was Bapuji’s grace that had been showered in the form of Holi Colours.
We came back to Bhopal a got the sonography done. There was nothing in the gall bladder; the stone had vanished. My son was completely cured. I have no words to describe my joy. I simply want to say.
Whoever takes refuge with the Guru, here as well as in afterlife,’

How to tread the path of Spirituality

A spiritual seeker once asked pujya Liashahji Maharaj “I feel strong desire to treed the path towards God but my not assist me. What should I do?”
Santshree replied, Have the desire for maukti (liberation).”
The seeker replied, but my worldly desires and cravings do not get erased.”
Santshree repled If your desires and cravings do not away then do not worry. Replace worldly desires with the desire to attain God. Daily repeat very loudly this firm resolves Like King Janaka; I will realize the Self in this very birth. Deavrat (Bhisham Pitamah) resolved loudly that Gandharvas Listen. Devateas (gods) listen. Yakshas and Kinnaras Listen. Rakashasa (demons) Listen. I the son of Shantanu take the vow that I will observe absolute celibacy that I will never marry never …. Never.
“In the same way you too loudly repeat your pious resolve alone in a room; I will establish myself in the soul in this very birth. I am the disciple of my Guru like father like son… I will also attain self realization in this birth in this manner read these pious resolutions.
“Do not insist on anything else in life. Insistence is more harmful then unfavorable stars. Whatever comes to you, whether it is simple or delicious food.
Whatever you get to put on accept it keeping in mind the health of the body and piety of the mind. Do not in sit that This is what should happy…. That is how I should become If your wish does not get fulfilled, your insistence will to agitation and unrest in your mind. Simultaneously it will also fill your mind and intellect with attachment conceit affections and aversions. It is this insistence only that pushes one into this insistence only that pushes one into eighty four lakh lives. So do not hold on to any insistence. To overcome all kinds of resolves just hold on to one Come what may I will attain divine bliss wisdom and peace in this very birth and live as a liberated soul.’
In this manner freeing the mind of all negative resolves and holding on to just one of God realization you’re spitual I am the soul. Just as if a millionaire firmly visualizes himself as a pauper he will start considering himself as one. However if he visualizes himself as a millionaire he will start regarding himself as millionaire.
“In the same way contemplate and think of yourself as the soul. Every morning in solitude determine I ma Brahman, I am eternal; I am the Consciousness I am liberated and I am the Truth’ However be careful not to visullixe yourself as a Mar air or Sindhi or Gujarati or Punjabi or even that your are happy or sad. This false belief will make you sad and perturbed, instead of being happy. These fallacious samskaras will push you into cycle of birth and death.
“Search for the means of peace and happens in this birth and think as to what your should do to achieve that state. This does not mean this you approach a saint and plead Sai Change my wife nature O Brother Change your own nature change your understanding. Suppose your wife’s temperament does change, than you will plead the same for your enemy and so on. Instead why don’t you change and change yourself? Why don’ you withdraw why do you want tog et more involved and stuck with them.
“Rather then insisting on obtaining things and circumstance as per your desire accept what I and progress towards the path of liberation. You do not want to bring an end to your sorrow. What is your folly? It is the wish to change the world, your wife your husband your son your friends your servant as per your imagination and become happy this itself is your folly. No ever been able to find peace and happiness this way. The only way to happiness is to firmly establish the remembrance of your True self. In this manner by repeating these ours an true resolves regularly by quitting the resolves based on your desires and tendencies and by remembering your True self, Your spiritual path will be simplified.”
* The feelings of sorrow and attachment stem form the imposition of different attributes on different people. When one considers a person to be his enemy, naturally one’s heart is filled with anger an hatred. On the other hand, when one sees another person as a bestower of happiness and loves one’s heart is invariably filled with attachment. When perceives the indivisible self in all beings regards them as manifestation of the same God loves them as himself them all delusion and sorrow vanish and one remins ever joyful. He has no enemy or fined in the world. No one can harm him. Even the most venomous snakes abandon their wild nature n his presence.

The supreme Vow

(Continued form the previous issue)
(Excerpts form Pujya Bapuji’s satang)
The best of all vows is to become selfless, to be free form desires.
‘I love your flowers; I love your thorns. Grant me whatever you wish-
Happiness or sorrow pleasure of pain.
I shall accept all circumstances give by my Master.”
This outlook will make you fire form all burdens and designs. It is not that your son or daughter gets married only if you desire for it dreaminess unmarried if you don’t Marriage or other relationships do take place at the time destined for them. By desiring we only hinder them. When we worry about something like a plot not being sold we actually delay the thing happening.
You have a desire that your plot should be sold out. You give up this desire. It is only when you let go the desire that it fructified. The condition of course is that you should not let go the desire for the sake of fructifying it. That will not be real abandonment. If you genuinely let go a desire the desired event takes place; for your heart becomes pure the moment you let go desire and a heart is endowed with the power to fructify its resolves.
The difference between saints and other people is that the later are anxious to get their wishes fulfilled an beg before saints to the end. Thousands come to them and are delvered of their troubles. Common men have a family of only 4-5 people; yet they always with thousands of families who get importation and blessings form them; yet inspiration land blessings form them who yet they have no personal desires or tersest; they have no personal desires or interest; they have no thirst for pleasures for them selves. They think their personality to body to be composed of five great elements of nature. I am letting you the secret of how to become a saint and how to fulfil your desires. The Lord says to Arjuna:
“It is desire it is anger born of the quality of rajas all sinful and all devouring know this as the foe here (in this world).
Desire is a voracious eater. That is desire in never satiated. However many desires you may satisfy more desires will spring up. They will squander your life but will persist them selves. When there is no end to desires better abandon them.
Desires arise like that of a good bungalow good clothes and other pleasures. Even if they are fulfilled and one enjoys the pleasures the desires becomes stronger and deep rooted. Such a person harms himself. His behavior is self injurious for he depends on sense objects killing his own self nature. Secondly those deprived of those objects naturally feel humiliated by one who possesses them. Thus by enjoying pleasures one hurts others people mentally.
There are needs and there are desires. God is well aware of our needs. We need milk after birth and we get it in propagate manner and duality it is neither too hot nor too cold neither too sweet nor tasteless.
We need to breather and the air for breathing is provided. We need water and it is easily available. We need land to walk on and it too is available. The sunrays are very essential for us and they are available to everyone rich or poor. We need winters and summers at their respective times and they are available. We need food and with a little effort we can get enough to eat. But if we want to have variety of dishes or pelicaies in meals, it is desire. We need to cover the body and we an wear clothes as per our capacity. But if we are impressed by others’syntheic fashionable clothes and want he same for us even if we cannot afford it is is desire.
Needs can be satisfied easily but there is no end to desires. Is there anybody on earth who has fulfilled all his desires? Desires arise when we look at those who are superior to us in material possessions and not at our inferiors. If you look towards your superiors their is no end to it. And if you peep into their lives closely you will find that they are not able to take rest in the day nor are they able to get sound sleep in the night. Those who appear to be superior to you or happier form materialistic point of view are not happy in fact. If they consider themselves to be happy they are mistaken. But the others who consider them to be happy and forfeit their own peace of mind are doubly mistaken.
The great men reveling in self bliss don’t pose to be big by virtue of external objects. They make use of their body min and possession for making others happy. Therefore their wealth splendour and radiance do not suppress others nor does it give rise to egotism and desire in others’ minds. It rather develops their divine live and self repose by erasing heir ego.

Those who do Namaskar become great

All great people have been young children and youngsters in the beginning. Therefore students should ponder on the fact that if so many young children and youngsters can become great ten why not us? They should not be proud of being big. However they should have the important desire of making the greatness of their soul apparent by kindling their latent spiritual powers. That is our birthright.
What to become great? Regularly bow to your parents and your sat guru obeys their wishes serve and be positive towards them. Lord Shri Krishna made Arjun his medium for transmitting to humanity the key to unlocking one’s soul’s greatness:
‘Know that by long prostration by question and by service the wise who have relished the Truth will instruct you in (that) knowledge.’
How mush importance God is giving to the act of humbly prostrating at the feet of self realized Sat gurus!
How does one’s life span increase by paying respect? If you look to history for an answer, you will find many examples.
There was a sage called Mrikandu. His son’s name was Markandeya. A self realized great man come to Mrakandu Rishi’s ashram. Mrikandu Rishi told his son, Son do namaskar.”
The son paid respect to the great man with a lot of kindness and humility. The great man was looking at Markndeva in a focused way.
Mrikandu Rishi enquired, “Maharaj, what are you looking at?”
The self realized great man said, the child is very god but he has very few years to live.”
The rishi asked, “Maharaj what should we do?”
“Sage you good son ha paid respect to m. I will definitely show you the path for your king son’s wellbeing.”
The evolved man meditated. After a while he opened hi eyes and said, “Mrikandu, Self realized souls are nothing but God’s physical form. Wherever they go becomes a pilgrimage site. They become happy when you humbly and gently pay respect to them. That is why they are considered as direct visible form of Lord Shiva. If your son continues to pay respect and has faith in great souls who are full of compassion then he will their guidance and one day he will go on to create history. He will be know for and will exemplify this wonderful saying in our spiritual literature:
‘By regular paying obeisance to elders and by serving them a human being’s life span intellect fame and strength these four attributes increase.’
The boy continued to pay respect with a lot of humility and kindness to great souls. One day the seven sages (saptarishis) came there. Markandeya paid respect to them. The seven sages blessed him thus, May you becomes immortal”.
Mrikandu said Maharaj you blessed him but hi life span is short. Kindly suggest us a way so that you’re blessing will fully franticly.”
“Sage let him worship Lord Sankar. Your boy will bring glory to you family.”
That boy who was filled with devotion traded the guidance and advice of the seven rishis as the advice of a guru and got immersed in worshipping Lord Shiva.”
According to his karma when his lifespan got over Yamraj appeared seated on a buffalo. The boy got scared when he saw Yuma’s from. He hugged the Shivling and called out with great fervor: Oh Remover of fears Oh protector Help me help me Protect Me Protect Me!”
Lord Sankar appeared with his trident He said to Yamraj Why do you went to take him?
Yamraj replied his lifespan is over.”
“Look again Look properly.”
When Yamraj looked at Marakndeya, there was no end to his dismay. In Marknadeya destiny there was no evidence of death approaching. Yamarj turned around and left. Whatever Sankar says that happens.
Lord Ashutosh said,”Markandeya “You have accepted with great respect the guidance to these wise evolved people who are my embodiment. You have shown devotion to me you have done japa of May name. I am extremely happy with you. You will immortal till the end of this kalpa you will be called immortal.”
In the list of seven immortals now the name of marakndeya has been added.
Till date for obtaining a long life these eight immortals are remembered in the morning by charting this shloka.
There is so much greatness associated with the custom of doing masker that even if a person pays respect to God with cunningness his or her well beings occurs.

Improvement of Nature

Pride and selfishness are two major vices. They spoil the mature of a person, and they not only hurt other but also lead one to downfall. If one removes these feelings of vanity and selfishness one’s nature will get improved.
On one side the man wants to meet his mind’s wish whereas on the other he wants to get his desired things. Every moment he waits for the opportunity to get money, respect reverence or comforts of his life.’ When he nurtures such feelings in his mind, his inherent nature becomes vile So undoubtedly pride egoism or selfishness lonely spoils the nature of a person..
One should try to be egoless
“One should remain unpretentious without nurturing ill will in the mind whatever benefits life offers one should always dwell in contentment.
(Sri Ram Charitmanas. Uttar Kand: 45.1)
One who remains guileless an behaves
Naturally with everyone,
The Lord helps such a devotee attain salvation.”
The recollections of those who behave guilelessly even towards fraudulent people, and who nurture the habit of ‘being beneficent towards evil doers gives peace of mind. Is it stremous to attain such simplicity and artlessness? You have to exert yourself in practicing deceit because for that you will have to scheme some crooked plan in your mind whereas artless behavior does not rewire any sort of artfulness. It is true that hypocrisy and disguise needs forged documentation. Even then one tends to err or default at one paint of time or the other. When the person unpretentiously he enjoys every moment of his life. Abandon pride and selfishness and think about the welfare of others. How to make others happy? Always think and try to devise various means for the welfare of others. Think how you can help others to experience peace and happiness thought and by inculcating noble traits in them. You should not be worried even if you have no wealth knowledge ability power or position. In spite of having nothing your benevolent feeling will improve your nature. On the contrary your nature will get spoiled if you nature falsehood deceit egotism dogmatism and self assertion. Such a vile nature will afflict you even in the mortal sheaths of birds or animals. It will not let you live happily even in these lower births. One with a good nature will definitely live happily even in the lower births an if he is a human being he will attain excellence.
Man has the privilege to improve his nature. Someone with money can purchase only in the market. Nome can ever think of buying anything in the woods. So this world is like a big market. Here everything is available. Make use of it by improving your nature purifies your mind in this market of human life. One the human birth is over you will remain as you are. You will not be able to make any improvement afterwards. You nature may worsen in lower births but it is very difficult to find anything good in those births. Even if you do it will ephemeral and not spiritual. You cannot improve your nature. A good trainer may impart some knowledge only to lead a disciplined life; other wise bad habits will continue to torment the whole life.
When an animal develops bad habits at a young age, it turns out to be nuisance to everyone. Upon begins ittitated it learns to hit back. It has to suffer beating throughout its life. So one can learn a bad habit even while in the sheath of an animal. Hence in a nutshell evils and vices are attainable even in lower births. The opportunity to attain goodness is possible only in human birth. Here too, not all the time. When one gets satsang sublime thoughts and scripture on should not miss the precious opportunity and try to cultivate goodness in oneself.
“It is great fortune that you have secured a human body which as all the scripture declare is difficult even for the gods to attain.”
We have attained this human body, which even gods find difficult to attain then why not make use of it? Why not improve our nature? Why not purify and sanctity it? Thereafter you will enjoy all of life because every beings disposition whether god or bad remains always with him. So wherever you go improve your nature an purify it.
A bandon pride and selfishness and think how to do well to others how can happiness to and bring about the welfare of others using your might mind intellect abilities potentialities power, position ect. Such feeling will purify your heart to such an extent that even others will get purified by your glace.
“One who doesn’t afflict others through body mind or words,
Thulsidasji sys the darshan of such a one destroys sins.”
The darshan of such a grant person relieve the being of his sins. You all can staunch a state in your life. Mirabai didn’t give anything to us. But listening to her poems gives us peace of mind singing them cultivates devotion to God. We all revere Mirabai because her mind was full of divine love and beneficent feelings. She never came in our midst but her sublime mature continues to elevate us. And we like her precepts her poems practically everything because her mind was pure. Mirabai’s mother sin law respectable to her but no baby knows even her name. Whereas mirabai because renowned not only in her own country but she attained international acclaim also. She became renowned not by desire for name and fame but only due t her devotion to God.
In order to carry their names forward, householders wish to have a son. Most of them are bossed with sons but virtually their name never. Acquired posts and potation but could not hold on to them for long. What to talk of ohers? Today even the descendents do not remember the name of their predecessors several generations back so do devotional practices. I am say whether your name will become know to other or not but you will certainly attain salvation and the entire world will be greatly benefited. Therefore improve your nature and purify it. How will you do it?
Abandon self assertiveness. Give up pride and respect others and do good to them. Instead to being dogmatic it is better to give significance to her even if the opinions of both are logical. Such a fair practice also helps in improving one’s own nature

The Secret of Success

(Continued form the precious issues)
As a boy Lord Sri Krishna was naughty He world steal butter form houses, share it with his friends ear some himself and break the earthen pots full of curds and butter. Then he would smear a bit of butter on the moths of he calves and slip away form there. The people in the house would find the calves mouths smeared with butter. They would think that the calves had caused the damage and would beat them.
As a matter of fact God
Himself is the cause of all that happens. In the process, the poor calves get the breathing’s you… this ….. That happiness……. Capital punishment. The Ultimate case of all these is God the pure Consciousness. However by being disloyal to God the calves our minds get the beating.
God is the greatest of the great and on forging a realtionshioip with Him ones liberated; Just having a great name does not serve any purpose. It is often found that poor destitute people, having nothing in their possession are named as karordimal (meaning worth crores of rupees) Lakhpatram (denoting worth lakhs of rupess), Hazariprasad (denoting worth thousands of rupees), Lakshmichnd (meaning Goddess of wealth) etc. Where will all this lead to?
‘Lakshmi goes looking for cow dung; jagapal (meaning one nurturing the whole World) is found begging.
Amar (meaning immortal) Singh dying I am happy with my Thanthamnpal (meaning pauper) who actually earns money.’
Real peace and happiness can hardily be obtained by possessing palatial mansions, luxury cars or by wearing precious jewels or ornaments we are paupers as far as the true wealth of inner bliss is concerned. A man who is poor form within is that much more dependent on external objects. And the more one is dependent on external objects the more one is bereft of the wealth of Self bliss.
A person well endowed with the wealth of self realization and with that of the external world not much interested the latter. One gets it by destiny. The wealth of self realization brings all worldly successes too. Once you longer hanker after external wealth, which then gets drawn to you automatically. One’s shadow naturally follows one. Likewise once you attain Divine Bliss you get external happiness and concertos by the force of destiny. In case you don’t even then you don’t desire them. Such is the glory of Divine Bliss, you get external happiness and confutes by the force of destiny. In case you don’t even then you don’t desire them. Such is the glory of Divine Bliss so long as childhood continues one’s childish intellect makes one play with dolls toys etc. As maturity comes youth arrives on married how will lying with dolls and toys interest him or her? When the intellect is shrouded by ignorance then there is attachment to the world. On the others hand, a well developed discrimination intellect with well established discrimination exposes the hollowness of world objects. A prudent analysis will reveal that everything around is but made form the five elements of mature. Out of ignorance we kept playing with toys and dolls; but as wise sense dawned upon us the game just want out of our lives. You are born to play with the Brahman. You are here to enjoy playing with God himself and not with the causality of this world of dolls and toys. This human birth is bestowed upon you to forges a close bond with God and to obtain Supreme Bliss.
After wedding a man a young woman hardly plays with her dolls. Similarly once our mind gets wedded to supreme God It will hardly have any interest in the toys an dolls of world pleasures.
A puppet show commences. In the show one king invited another who came with his entourage. He was duly welcomed by the host king and extended appropriate hospitality. Then in the course of conversation tempers rose and the two crossed their swords. A fight occurred. Two got hacked four died and six fled.
Thought it appears to be a big affair in reality it is merely an artistry of the puppet master’s fingers. Similarly in this external world the causality appears outwardly but the puppet master is none other then the supreme self. We see duality n the form of Good and bad mine and yours this and but all these are mere appearances projected form the fundamental source the supreme Self. Once you repose your smaller self (I) in that supreme Cause and become one with it these external cause and become one with it these external cause and effect phenomena will appear merely as ago me to you. (Translated excerpts form ‘Jivan Vikas’ a book published by the ashram)
• Love of a Truth personified Saint is ever steady and favorable towards us both in happiness and sorrow. This pure divine love is the only resting place of the heart. This joy of love cannot be destined by age. It does not change with the changing times. Only a rare fortunate person can experience such; divine love

The Message of Silence

-Mahatma Gandhi
I had gone to see a monastery in South Africa. Most of the inmates over there were observing a vow of silence. I asked the chief administrator of the monastery, “What is the reason behind this? He said the reason is clear. We will never hear that constant subtle within us if we speak continuously.”
I understood the precious lesson. I know the secret of silence. A taciturn person will hardly be thoughtless while speaking. He will weigh each and every word. Many people are seen to be very eager to talk If we agitated should were to understand the importance of silence then half the troubles of the world will be solved. Before the attack of modern civilization on us we used to get at least 6 to 8 hours but of 24 for silence. Modern civilization has taught us to convert night into day and precious silence into useless din and uproar. How great it world be if for at least a couple of ours every day we take recourse to the voice of great silence within us. If were are ready to listen the divine radio is always singing within us but without silica it is impossible to hear it.
For me silence as now becomes both a physical and sportily necessity. In the beginning it was a means to relieve the street to work. Besides that I wanted time to write but after a few days of practice, I realized its spiritual value. A thought flashed across my mind that this is the time when I can eatable a god rapport with the lord.
For a seeker of truth like me silence is of great help. The soul can see its path clearly during silence and everything starts looking crystal clear which otherwise would have been difficult to grasp or possibly misunderstood. Out life is a search for truth and the soul needs inner repose and peace to reach the peak of its greatness.
Never think I will please this or that god by offering flowers the gods are never pleased by flattery nor has God crated you to flatter any body. We go to temples an flatter God that is the reason why our going to temples bears no fruit it is very clear. We flatter God “Thou are my mother and father” Then we look here and there and again, “Thou are my brother and friend, thou are wisdom and wealth. The we look toward our shoes tonsure that they are not stolen and continue, Thou are my All in All This is not Bhakti brother!
The consciousness which dwells in Mother is You, O Lord this has to Understanding isn’t this mere flattery? The consciousness which dwells in the primal God of gods are al none but you we should understand this and repose in God.

The Key Salvation

(Excerpts from Pujya Bapuji’s Satsang)
If one wants to get rid of all sorrows and troubles forever then it cannot be done by consuming painkillers. One will have to approach a great man who is established in his own self in His soham nature and has the ability to establish others in the same.
The sadhana of remaining established in Soham is the sadhana of liberation of total eradication of all miseries forever attaining supreme Bliss and of God realization. Affirm and experience the following while combining so with the incoming breath and Hum with the outgoing breath. I an the Consciousness which enables the eyes to see the hands to move and which exists even after the death of the body. I am peace absolute, consciousness Absolute Bliss Absolute, Immortal Atman an indivisible part of God I Am becoming peaceful immersing myself in the spirit of I Am That (Soham). I am delving into that Sohanm nature form which my Gurudev has attained peace bless and spiritual might. I am becoming one with the nature of my Guru; I am attaining communion with my Gurudev. I Am That I Am that I am consciousness Absolute the Eternal Truth I ma the child of my abored Deity; I Am that Hence forth I will not get oppressed by the wicked . I will rest assured in the concoction that my sat guru and God are not far form me they are my own. I am that this is the key to moksha the master key to liberation and to the end of all sorrows. The nectar of bliss obtained thus will also help in eradication diseases.
At night while going to sleep practice japa of soham with awareness. When you wake up in the morning become ware of the intonation of soham in your breath. You will hear so and Hum with the in coming and out going breaths respectively. This king of japa goes on constantly. We have only forgotten it. Practice wills this mistake. The jiva practices ajapa japa throughout the day. If only this realztion sets in beatitude will be attained.
By the power of constant japa practiced mentally, Tirthaarama become Ramatirtha. The best of sadhanas which japa (japa of the Lord’s name). Practice japa constantly so that you reach a stage wherein the inaction goes on automatically in he heart without involving the movement of the lips or the tongue. Let the mind keep contemplating the meaning of the mantra. If one becomes immersed in the meaning of the mantra through the practice of japa and if the mind gets a taste of it, it will engage itself in the mantra on its own God will be revealed to us as our effulgent self. There is no delay on the part of God. One will experience divine bliss sweetness and inspiration without any effort in a joyful and playful way.
There is no prohibition to earning money having medicines or making merry. I would say there is no prohibition even to being despondent to sorrowful, but transform my our despondency and sorrow into yoga. Do not cling to anything. Do not

Blind Pritam Becomes Sant Pritamdas

(Sri Pritamdas Maharaj Punatithi: 21st May)
The saint Pritamdas is believed to have been born between 1717A D and 1723 AD at village Bawala near Ahmedabd. He was blind since birth. His parents died when he was barely ten years of age. He lived on alms and he was homeless. Subjected to insults and humiliation at the age of ten years, Pratamdasji once perchance landed at satsang. He developed reverence for sent Bhaidas. He took Mantra diksha from Sant Bhaidas and become a follower of his. He completelyJustify Full dedicated himself to the Guru and started living in the Guru’s Ashram. Being born blind he had no attraction towards the world; so he was experiences and he becomes a saint. Wonderful mystical poetry emerged form his heart which evoked appreciation from even foreigners. The flowing devotional song is composed by him: Anand mangal Karu arati Hari guru santani seva.
‘I am moving the arati lamp which brings bliss and proptipneuses; I serve the Lord the Guru and the saints.’
Once he went for the darshan of Lord Dakorji (a temple of Lord Krishna.) The priest at the temple ridiculed him by wondering as to went king of darshan a blind man can have. At this he described the whole of the Lord’s apparel in a poem. He described the colour of the Lord’s clothes he suggested that lotus flower that had been placed before the Lord on the left side should have been on the right side he also told that the flute had been placed in an inappropriate position and what should be the correct position he described the Lord crown…….
Even though he was blind since birth he described the clothes and ornaments of Lord Dakorji with amazing accuracy. The rest was wonderstruck and threw himself at pritamdas’s feet. Those whose minds are completely engrossed in the Lord don’t need the physical eyes: they have the Lord’s darshan with their inner eyes.
Once members of an organization funned by Roman Rolland came to India to see the spirituality of this great land. They found that even though Saint Pritamdas was blind his poetry on devotional love was unsurpassed. They on were so impressed that they carried back the poems with them.
Sant prtiamdas departed form this world in the year 1797. The moral remains of Sant Pritamdas were buried in the form of a Samadhi (a tomb or monument) in sandeasar near Anand in Gujarat.
Describing the glory of Lord; name pritamdasji says:
Love and reveres the Guru’s feet
The light of wisdom will manifest
Says Pritam in the twinkling of an eye,
Nescience will be dispelled.
The pure hearted one who sees that
The Guru is great then Govind,
Will escape the cycle of birth
And death so says prtiam.
He who mistakes the Guru for a human being
And analyses Him on the basis of His behaviour.
Says pritam there is no doubt that says pritam there is no doubt that
Such a one will fall into hell.
He who has no Guru know him to be Ngurar
Says pritam there is no sinner like him.
Not a man but a stone is he.
As insight without the moon wife
Without the husband
Says puritan so is the being an ignorant
Beast without the Guru.
Surrender your body mind life and
Everything to the Guru
Says pritam you will be rescued forum
The cycle of transmigration.

Bhakti Never Goes in Vain

(Excerpts from pujya Bapuji’s satsang)
If a person chases evil sense enjoyments, he will become an evil soul. If one lives an average life exercising self restraint, at one moment and slipping the next he is an ordinary person. However if a person reposes in god within the greatest of the great and fills his heart with divine love and divine knowledge: if he is engaged in the yoga of selfless action he will become a great soul. The Lord says;
‘However great souls o partha (Arjun), who take refuge in/my nature worship me with a single mind (with the mind devoted to nothing else) knowing me as the eternal and imperishable source of begins!’
People who take refuge in their divine nature are imbued with traits of the Eternal Consciousness the Suprme Self. Even if for some reasons they go to lower life forms such traits are not destroyed. King Bharata after whom this country was named Bharat, departed form the world thinking of a deer and consequently had to be fborn as a deer in his next life. However he retained his samskaras of bhakti of his prevous birth even in himself as a deer. Once went to Ujhani (Uttar Pradesh) There I found a dog that kept a fast on Tuesdays.
An eternal portion of me has become living souls in the world of life.’ There are many sadhakas who having gone astray are found in the bodies of deers and dogs. A millionaire in the prevous birth will not necessarily be born as a millionaire in the next. A doctor in the precious birth cannot be born as and doctor in the next life he has to study medial science to become a doctor. But a sadhaka will regain t the spiritual heights of his or her prevous life right form birth.
Ashtavakra started talking about Brahma nana while still in his mother’s womb. The queen of Ayodhya sued to keep a mare by the name of Shyama for providing services to the Kanak Bhavan temple located in Ayodhya. What incredible wisdom that mare’s life exuded As the mare had old it was decoded to turn her out of the temple. This resulted in the mare giving up fodder and water. She didn’t want to leave. At the queen’s insistence the temple authorities booked with the railways to send her by the goods cum animal train. The mare was brought back to Kanak Bhavan temple. Everybody was surprised at how the strong will of the mare brought about such a divine miracle.
The sadhana a human being does in this life bears fruit in the next even if the human being is reborn as deer a dog or a mare. A person who takes recourse to Yoga of wisdom (Buddhiyoga) and endeavors for God realization contain the goal inseam life. If for some reason the task remains incomplete become of some mistake sin or base thinking one goes to a lower form of spirrtual traits a strong will power even in the current birth as is even form the incidents sescribed above. Therefore as far as possible don’t allow small negativities to become bad habits. Though conscious effort cultivate the fines traits of remembering God, maintaining equanimity in pleasure and pain and rendering selfless service.
The following is a real incident that took place in Karah village (Gwalior). There lived a renowned naharalj by the name, Shri Babji. He had a dog with its tail cut off. Babahi called him Banda Bhagat,. Like other sadhus living in the Ashram Banda Bhagat paid obesisance to Babaji every morning by throwing himself prostrate at his feet A farmer used to bring rotis and milk for Babaji everyday. Babaji would eat the rotis with chilly and spoces and gives the milk to Babda Bhagat. This went on for quite a few months. Finally one day famer blurted out Babaji I don’t bring the milk for this dog, I bring it for you.”
Maharaji said,” It does not matter. He is also not an ordinary dog. So what if Banda Bhagat drinks the milk Assume I have drunk it.”
The disciple said If you don’t wan to have the milk yourself why don’t you give it to other saadhus.”
Banda Bhagat was listening to the conversation. Next day when the farmer came with the rotis for himself and placed the milk before Banda Bhagat. Banda Bhagat simply left the place. Babaji followed Banda Bhagat around with the milk but Banda Bhagat studdbronly refused to drink the milk. Within a few days the famer started to face many troubles and calamites. Without any apparent reason one of his buffaloes died. After a few more days another on eddied and truble started in his house. The farmer came to Babaji and wailed, “Babaji! From the day Banda Bhagaat become displeased with me, my fortune has become displeased with me. There is massive trouble in my family. Just a nature punishes one for harassing a saint; similarly I am in a wretched condition become of insulting Banda Bhagat.”
Shri Babaji said Brother what can I do now? You have wronged Banda Bhagat. Seek for givens from him alone.”
The farmer came with milk the next day and placing it before Banda Bhagat said with folded hands, O great devoted you are a devotee of God’s devotee. Don’t look at my vices. Have mercy on me Because of my foolishness I insulted you. This has brought all kinds of trouble in my home. My house is fraught with in fighting and lack of peace and nothing seems good. Two of my buffaloes have died this will ruin me. After all I am a savant to the saints Bahda Bhagat Kindly bless me.”
Banda Bhagat raised his eyes and looked at him and started relishing the milk. Following this prosperity returned to that farmer house. Days and nights passed. Time elapsed. Once day Banda Bhagat came to Babaji and lovingly started wagging his cut tail and rubbed his back against the ground indicating he wanted to take leave forever. Babaji said do you want to go? Okay go.”
Banda Bhagat lay down on the grund outside the Ashram. Looking at the sun he left his body. Babaji made a Samadhi for Banda Bhagat’s body gave the customary feat on his death.
In whatever life form the devotee goes, the traits of devotion to the All merciful Lord present in his inner being remain intake in him. God divine mature protects the devotes. Bhakti saves one even in lower form s of life. Thus those who imbibe the wisdom of satsang and inculcate Godly traits in their inner being amass wealth of a very high value. It is difficult for a pauper to a become a millionaire on the strength of his hard work and manual labor but if he is adopted by a millionaire he becomes a millionaire instantly. Similarly coming to satsang means sting in God lap. The merit obtained by getting darshan and attending satsang by devotes of God never goes in vain. Meditation and bhakti never go in vain.

The Ego embodied as a Bull

(Sant kabir Jayanti 7th June)
A scholar, Sarvananda lived in kashi. He hand defeated many learned men and scolars in religious debates. As a result, the scholars of kashi conferred on him the title of ‘Saravajit’ (winner of all) and stared calling him by that name. His mother once visited Kashi and attended Sant Kabir’s satsang. She got initiated as his disciple by receiving a mantra from him. Realizing the futility of he son’s erudition she challenged her son Sarvaji that she shall consider him the winner of all only if he defeats Kabirji in a realious debate.
Sarvajit’s mother’s words hurt him. He loaded all his religious books on a bull and reached Kashi. He arrived at Karbirjji’s house and enquired, is this Kabirji’s house?’
Kabirji was not at home. Looking at the bull laden with books. Kabiriji daughter Kamali understood the situation and said with a smile, No this is not Kabriji house. His house couldn’t be located by even Brahma Vishnu and Shiva She added:
‘Kabir house is on the summit atop innumerable universes. The path to reach there is very slippery.
Even an ant cannot get a foothold on this path. This pandit (learned man) wants to take his bull (his ego based on his knowledge) along. How can he go?
An egotist can never attain the state of Nirvikalpa Samadhi, the ultimate stage towards attainment of Wisdom.
Sarvajit could not immediately respond to Kamali’s reply. In the meantime, kabirji arrived. Saravajit challenged him to have a religious debate. Hearing the challenge Kabirji said, ‘O Brother I am an ordinary, illiterate weaver. I have never even seen so many books in my life.
However sarvajit insisted on having a religious debate and on being asked he even revealed debate and on being asked he even revealed to Kabirji what his mother had told him. On hearing that Kabirji said, “Bother I know that I will not win over you in the debate. I accept my defect.”
Sarvajit sand if you accept your defeat then please gives it to me in writing.”
Kabirji replied, I do not even know how to write. You may write what you want I shall sing on it.”
Sarvajit wrote Sri Kabir Saheb lost in the religious debate and pandit Sri Saravajit won.
Kabirji signed on it.
On returning home when Saravajit showed the paper to his mother it was written the paper to his mother it was written Sri Kabir saheb won the religious debate and pndit Sri Sarvajit lost.’
Realizing that he might have made a mistake in writing, Sarvajit again went to Kashi. He got Kabirji signature on a new once of paper. But lo even this time the same thing happened. Thus having reputedly seen the contents of the winner’s certificate reversed, Sarvajit fainted and fell down. On regaining consciousness he said to his mother, Mother Kabirji is surely a magician. He does something and what I write gets changed.”
Sarvajit mother was a wise lady. She was familiar with Kabirji greatness. She said,”O son Kabitrji is no ordinary person. He is a Brhamjnai saint established firmly n Yoga. The supermen Lord Himself out of compassion keeps visiting the earth in the form of great people as Nitya avatars (recurring incarnation). You have extensively read history puranas and religious texts. Can you mention any scripture in which there is an incident in which a person has established his name by defaming such a great man? It is evident that the person who tries to humiliate a great saint himself gets humiliated as a result divine play.
“Son, one who acts without thinking about the consequences, is not a human beings but an animal. His life gets filled with darkness. It s my humble request to you to pay attention your ego learn form those whose lives have been transformed by dissolving their ego by seeking refuge at the feet of holy man. There after you many at do what you find suitable.”
With a calm mind Sarvajit started contemplating his mother’s words. He who was adept at memorizing scriptures had for the first time in life opened his inner book. After a while Sarvajit stood up and walked are feet to kabirji. He prostrated before him. Noticing this tine sarvajit hand not brought his bull laden with books along. Kabriji understood that he had got freed form his ego embodied as a bull.
Pleading at the feet of Kabirji Sarvajit said, “Maharaja You mercifully signed my winner certificate but God by reversing it thus defeating me has blessed me by annihilating my ego. O Lord You are the shelter of the helps. Please forgive my offence and make me your disciple.
Kabirji intitated Sarvajit as his disciple by giving him Guru Mantra and said, “Sarvajit no one becomes a pandit (learned man) by merely memorizing religious texts. Only that person is learned who has learnt the two and on the path of becoming a learned man in the true sense. One who performs Yajna sacrificing al his possession becomes a true saravajit (winner of all). The sacrifice of one ego is same as sacrificing all. Sarvananda now set out on the journey towards becoming real Sarvajit. By rendering service to his sat guru Kabitrji and by listening contemplating practicing his Guru precepts he achieved the real goal of human life.”
…….. Then the entire life will go in vain
Professor Dey of the Banaras Hindu University observed a daily routine of worshipping God for a few minutes. One day some professors who were atheists, came to annoy professor Dey. Then said: “There is no God why do you waste your ten minutes?”
Everyone had anticipated that professor Dey will start presenting many arguments to prove the existence of God and we all shall counter him. However the intelligent professor Dey thought Tit for tat is the only way to put across my point to them.
Prof Dey said: “Bother if actually God does not exist then lose only a few minutes. But if He is existent then your entire life will go in vain”.
All the atheists were dumbfounded

Measure to Bring the Mind under control

(Contd from the previous issue)
(Execerpts form Pujya Bapuji satsang)
5. Have love for divine Joy: Love and attachment for the world make the mind wicked. Whatever be the object of your love and attachment, it will make you suffer and weep. With whatsoever and for whomsoever you have attachment that is bound get separated for you get annoyed with you, get erased depart form you and desert you. Get annoyed with you, get erased depart you. Therefore save yourself form attachment and love for the world. ‘Have love for dispassion and be firm in”Bhati.’ Develop passion for dispassion and love for divine joy. This will help you calm the restless mind and make you successful in attaining real happiness.
6. Restrain the mind from whatever causes it to wander and set it on God: Form whatever cause the mind wanders away maneuver it towards its real divine nature free form deceit fraud its real divine nature free from deceit, fraud guile and also from attraction in you divine self and awaken your sense of discrimination. Ask yourself, ‘who am I? And gradually become peaceful.’
7. Don’t follow the dictates of your mid: The more you avoid unnecessary desires and futile endeavors the more your meaningful desires and endeavors will be spontaneously fulfilled. If you save yourself form attachment even to meaningful desires and endeavors, you will attain to Yoga of wisdom. If you love God you will attain to Yoga of wisdom. One Yoga of wisdom is attained even the pleasures of heavens will look insipid to you.
8. Detach yourself from your mind and watch its action: By doing protected japa of Om become calm. This calms the mind as well. I am neither the body nor themed nor the intellect nor the ego; I am the Supreme Being beyond all theses. Who am I? Reflecting on such composed and guileless.Cotem late, ‘pleasure and pain affect the mind: I am the one who is a witness to these events. Who am I? You want to attain God but who is it that will attain God? It is I,’ you say. Think deeply as to who that I is this enquiry too will help the mind to become calm and get reposed in God.
9. Think over every movement of the mind and save it form evil thoughts: Contemplation too makes the wandering mind Calm. Contemplate, what can the world give to me? What can I take with me when I die? How lone shall l remain fired in the world? This event occurred, that even occurred but ultimately what next? Pleasure and pain come ad go I who is their with remind equaniomour. Remembering such thoughts also makes the mind calm and composed.
10. Keep the mind always engaged in noble deeds: Service rendered to others gives peace of mind. Desires and restlessness of the mind gradually get erased with the joy of altruism.
11. Do Meditation and tuatara: Blink you eyes and then fix your gaze steadily on god’s or your Guru idol or picture without looking left or right. Do japa of the mind will gradually become steady. Your desires will start wanting.
12. Study spiritual books: The mind becomes calm and gets filled with divine emotions by reading scriptures like the Gita, Sri Yogavasishtha Maharamayana, Upanishad and the biographies of Self realized saints eat. The restlessness of the mind is not as bad are desire deceit, fraud and guile. They cannot be eradicated unless we have the inclination to get rid of them. If we continue to nurture them there will be no end to our misery however many strategies we adopt to get rid of the. On the other hand, if we uproar and throw these scoundrels out, Supreme joy supreme Bliss supreme Opulence Self bliss Self contentment Self satisfaction will manifest.
13. Use your discrimination: Deceit, fraud gulled delusion ego lust increase our misery. Don’t establish friendship with these scoundrels; don’t nurture an deceit? Why should we lend an ear to any person without a Guru? Has he attained peace? Then how can he give peace and happiness to us? Has he fully assimilated the Guru’s grace? Why should we listen to him when he himself is not happy?
A deer is domed to die I the jungle where it is born. Similarly all human beings who are full of desires and attachments that generate all kinds of sorrows are destined to die in this world.
If man doesn’t act kike a foolish child in pursuit of his desires he would require only a minimal effort for Self realization. There for one minimal effort for of realizing. There fore one should direct all his efforts towards controlling his desires alone.
The elimination of desires leads to the supreme spiritual state. To be free from desires is salvation and to have desires is bondage. Therefore one should conquer desire a much possible. Is it difficult at all?

Live in the Present

-Pujya Bapuji
One who thinks that happiness is in the outside world; who is under the foolish impression that he can be happy by eating delicious food by viewing beautiful sights or by enjoying sensory pleasures; wanders endlessly indifferent worlds heavens or netherworlds but he only gets exhausted being entangled in false worldly pleasures and fantasies. He finds himself incapable of treading the path to God realization. This path is not for me he says nothing can be farther form truth. You are born as a human being. It is your birth right to attain divine Pease. You are born to read the path to God. You are given intellect and faint only to attain self bless. Why you can not tried this path? It is not impossible. In fact this is the only task you can do successfully. In all other tasks, you cannot achieve all time success. It is well nigh impooible always to be success. In all other tasks, you cannot achieve all time success. It is well nigh impossible always to be successful in all walks of life but you can surely attain all time success in self God.
If you render devotional service to the Lord and seek worldly things in return, you are sadly is taken. If you get reposed itself, your intellect becomes sharp and these small problems will get solved automatically. If you start living in the present these small troubles will automatically disappear.
‘My wife should obey me… my husband should obey me …My son should be obedient. My body should be free form disease… ii should get sense enjoyments…. I should attain this much wealth or such and such position. Then I will be happy …’ such thoughts rob you of your present wealth of happiness and impoverish you. Each and every man, in his present sate can attain deliverance instantly if he simply attains Knowledge his inherently blissful left and reposes therein. Renouncing the desire for external pleasures, if one reposes in the self Bliss, his delusion will get destined and he will gain the memory (knowledge) of the real self. Wheat available at home wear them eat simple food cooked at home when felling sleepy sleep wherever you find the place to Don’t dream for palaces or make it a necessity to arrange for exquisite bedding. If you must then make it a necessity to shun thoughts of the past and the future and repose in the Eternal present, where worries have no place.
The gap between two consecutive thoughts of the past or the future is the state of supreme self the pure Consciousness. One who is always conscious of this sate is God. One trying to be so is a sadhaka and one completely ignorant of it is a worldly man mired in fleeting pleasures of the world. The pleasures may be of our world or of celestial worlds all of them are worldly pleasures.
When you sit for meditation or devotional practices and worldly thoughts desires and plans creep in mentally bun them like offering oblations to the sacrifice fire. This will help you repose in the eternal present. Of course you will not be able to stay there for the wandering habit of the mind is deep rooted. If you chant Om the manifest world of supreme Brahman, in protracted intonation you will get rid of thoughts of the past and the future and come into the present. If you observe your thoughts minutely and reflect on what is happening the gap between two consecutive thoughts the previous thought coming to an ead and the new thought rising will increase. This increasing of the gap is reposing in God. If the gap increases of three minutes just three minutes you will attain the supreme sate of Nirvikalpa Samadhi you will attain self realization. The sore your repose you repose in that state, the more will your attain spiritual power.

Vision of Knowledge

(Excerpts from pujya Bapuji satsang)
How is this world? First see what is your bhava your emotional disposition? The world appears to your according to your bhava. If your nature is divine your will perceive goodness and virtues. With demoniacal nature, you will be inclined to find faults an vices in others. A photograph appears according to the angle form which it has been taken. There is no joy or sorrow, mine or other in this world. How the world appears depends on whether you look at it through the angle of attachment aversion or equanimity.
Whatever way you behave in the world do not think it to real. Otherwise it will make you disturbed n give rise to demoniacal tendencies grief and sorrow. If your actions happen for the good of others then don’t boastful abut it. This is an ever changing transient world dualistic in appearance. There is either joy or sorrow. Open the third eyes beyond these tow that of Knowledge. To develop the vision of knowledge. To develop neither joy nor sorrow is the summit of spirituality.
‘Neither joy is good nor is sorrow.
Bless me with Your vision that alone is the best.
O Lord Bless me with Your Consciousness, Your Truth Your Bliss.
Constantly placing one foot after the other on the path and the stairs we ultimately reach the temple. In the same way, trampling under your feet (the pairs of opposites like) joy and sorrow profit and life and death attain the knowledge of the Giver of Life. Attain repose in Him Attain His love.
Pujya Bapuji asks the listeners “Those who did not attend the satsang yesterday please raise their hands.”
(Some people raise their hands).
Pujya Bapuji says, “Alright those who have not come today may raise their hands.”
(No one rises).
Pujya Bapuji continues……………
How did this occur to your? It is thought knowledge. What is the source of this knowledge?
There is sense based knowledge. Beyond that is the mental knowledge and beyond the later is the intellectual knowledge. But from where do the sense, mind and intellect receive ‘knowledge?” It is form the ‘I’ arises. All love ‘I’ All crave for the joy that emanates form the source the ‘I’ the consciousness. Isn’t it?
Will you believe if someone says to you “I do exist but you do not exist? You will reply No even I exist. If I do not exist then how can you exist? I exist and so you are visible to me”.
‘I’ is self satisfied. Everyone refers to himself saying ‘I’, ‘I’ ‘I’……. There forms different. Their minds are different. However the existence of everybody’s I is the same Seek repose in the at one,’ I’. In deep slumber you enter into this ‘I’. Isn’t it?
You will attain the highest goal when you realize this Aboslute knowledge to be your own’ I’. You will attain your divine nature. Thereafter, those who even listen to your will be blessed.
‘A single Ghadi (24minutes) or ever half, may be it halved again spent in the company of a saint frees us form sins innumerable says Tulsidas.
Says Kabir when shall I meet the saint, the lover of the superme Lord who takes away our sorrows gives happiness to us and destroys our sins.’

Now you too make Some Effort

(Excerpts from pujya Bapuji’s satsang)
Many people complain of not being able to meditate. What is the reason? This is because considering oneself belonging to samsara and living in samsara we want to meditate on God. In fact if one considering oneself of God while abiding in God meditates on God one will never experience break in the morning. Take 4 to 5 deep break in the morning while practicing ssadhana. Affirm while inhaling, ‘I am imbibing diving grace’ and while exhaling. I have abandoned restlessness (of mind). Now whatever comes to my mind will only be divine. Nothing other than God can come to my mind today. I am serving God at this moment. Therefore whatever comes will be that which is sent by God or that which is divine.
We cannot meditate when we are trying to eradicate thoughts nor few do so when we are lost in thought. However if we so not pay heed to those thoughts they will lose their importance. In this way the great men have tried various means for the attainment of divine peace but only those who have an intense aspiration practice those techniques. There are thousands who remain satisfied with petty things. Even the rear few who red the path of God fall prey to pseudo satisfaction and stop when they came by some praise fame or material success. If at all they go ahead they abandon the path of God when they face infamy and opposition. Some progress further, gains some supernatural power only to get entangled in them. The rare one who goes even beyond that attains absolute peace of mind thorough self realization. Sant Kabir says:
‘Take to thy heart this wisdom true, That while all people talk of the higher path, Few very few are they that reach the goal; Two formidable enemies wealth and woman, destroy so many who are following the path listen. It is easy (comparatively) to love of wealth, It is easy (comparatively) to give up the friendship of woman; But giving up honor greatness and jealousy is a very, very rare achievement.’
One abandons home and wealth and becomes an abandoner; but then he should see that within there is no spirit of abandonment’. One may give up wealth, his wife becomes a celibate but jealousy and the desire for honor and jealousy do linger within.
Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa used to say, The desire for praise is the last hurdle for a sadhaka a sadhu.”
“ All should talk of me as good. Everyone should praise me. None should slander me. I shall earn fame in this world.” This is very sutle and the last obstacle on the spiritual path. Therefore say to God “O Lord Now whatever thought comes to me, I will consider it a You I have nothing in me that is mine….. Erase your ego and keep God as the witness. Divine help will then start pouring in. Our cunning mind has been deceiving us for ages: We will get exhausted if we struggle on our own. Hence seek divine help an pray to the Antrayamin Lord the supreme soul again and again. Thus once you embark on the divine path do not stop trying become you are used to the habit of falling down for lakhs of years and lives. So, you need not worry if you face4 or 5 failures in this life.
It is not a sin to slip or fall. There is carelessness associated with it but not walk agin agter that is negligence a sin. Sometimes sabhakas when they are unable to observe sabhaksa when they are unable to observe their vow, becomes disappointed and consider themselves s incompetent. At kilties when they are overcome by lust end anger they consider themselves as lustful, angry helps and incompetent an therby lose their enthusiasm. However, such sadhakas should keep in mind that they should not lose heart when they see the vices of lust anger avarice anxiety and sloth in them because it s good news that they can detect their vice at least To commit a fault is a mistake but to not see one’s fault is a big mistake. And to not admit it when someone is pointing it out is the biggest mistake. Sinners and criminals are reluctant to admit their crimes. They would say Hey What is Wrong in seeing a movie? What if we pick others’ pockets? It is our business we are not begging at least.” So those who aural sinners will see nothing wrong in those sins. A sadhaka a devotee with a pure heart sees his mistakes. The eye cannot perceive the collyrium applied to it. It only when it is at a certain distance form it. Similarly you cannot see a mistake if it is identified with you. Now when thesadhaka sees them he commits another big mistake by considering himself as incompetent. When we consider ourselves incompetent it hampers our abilities. Thank God when you see your faults,’ Lord Bu Your grace I can see my vice. These are not in me but in my mind. It is becomes they are in my mind that I can see them. My mind is becoming purified. If is your grace. Wow My Lord glory to Thee! Glorify the Lord mind will gradually be purified. This does not mean that you should continue committing mistakes. No do not let feelings of despondency and negativity careep into you nor abandon the path of God thinking, I am not eligible, I am a householder the spiritual path is not for me.’
The whole of mankind is entitled to freedom. Why even a prime minister, if he is pleased with his peon and wants to shower favors on him cannot appoint him as a district collector for which the peon should first have the eligibility to become an LAS Officer. Where even a prime Minister cannot commit such a mistake, how can God do so? Human life is given only to those who are eligible for salvation.
‘It (the human body) is fit for spiritual endeavors the gateway to deliverance.’
So when God has gives us this human body we should not nurture negative feelings. This body is not neat for indulging in sense pleasures gossiping, getting influenced by sorrows and pleasures and ruining our lives therby. No this human body is meant exclusively for salvation. So God has already given you the right to liberation. Now you too make some effort brother! All you have to do is pray for divine help ageing and again, listen about you Self god and realize god. The nature of God is described in Sri Vishnusahasranaman’ and Sri Narayan Stuti’ (A book published by the ashram a compilation of eulogies of Lord Narayana as described in the Bhagawat Purana.)’ One who has realize the nature of God will not remain without worshipping God/’
Lord Shiva says: He Uma who understands the true nature of Rama has no relish for anything other than His worship.’
(Sri Ramacharitmanas, Sunderkand )
Read Sri Narayan Stuti and experience the love Wisdom of Narayana. The mind and intellect too will be blessed with amazing and unique qualities

The Perfect Discrimination

(Excerpts a Bapuji’s satsang)
There lived a childless Brahmin couple in the village somapuirya on the bank of river Ganga. Both were devotees of Lord Hari and hand faith in satsng.Whenever they would come by sadhus and sannyasins they would pay obeisance to them and listen to their teachings. Neither the husband nor wife hand and desire to have a son.
One day the husband was infected by cholera. The wife consulted doctors an physicians and did all she could do but the husband’s conition had become very critical. The wise Brahmin lady thought, ‘Something should be done before he dies.’ She was brooding anxiously when a Dandi traveling alone the bank of the Ganga passed that way. The Brahmin lady prayed to the sannyasin to initiate her husband into the sannyasa order.
The Dandi sannyasi said, “But he is lying ill.”
The Brahmin lady insisted: “Maharaja His death is impending. Therefore please initiate him into the snnyasa order. He will at least be relieved of the sin of one Brahmahatya (Killing of a Brahmin) and attain higher life after death through diksha. He will attain some elevation if not self realization. Is there any system of initiating one in to the sannyuasa order for his liberatime of death?
Seeing that the Brahmin’s condition was very critical the sannyasin initiated him into the sannyasa order even as he was unconscious on his death bed. The sannyasin took leave of the couple and the Brahmin lady started severing her husband with great reverence. As a result of good lick the husband began to recover and he was completely crued. His wife served him round the clock but now she would not touch him physically as she world do before. She rendered all her service without touching him The Brahmin asked, dear now why is it that you are serving me without touching.’
She said, “Swamiji” (till now she would call him, “patidev) When you were critically ill I had prayed to a Dandi sannyasin and made him imitate you into the sannyasa order so that you may attain higher life.” The husband was no less a virtuous soul. He hand imbibed satsang and had earned some merits. His discrimination was awakened.
“Well….. So you got me initiated into the sannyasa order by a Dandi sannyasi you did the right thing. A sannyasin is not allowed to stay at home. He should not touch even a wooden statue of a lady. So I should protect myself form your touch. I thank you mother for protecting me.!
The husband mentally touched the wife’s feet before taking leave. He traveled along the band of the Ganga and whenever he felt hungry he would beg for food and wash it with the water of Ganga before eating .He would do japa of Om. After eleven days of bathing in the Ganga, he reached ‘Haridwar’ the abode of Hari. In those days the lace was not much crowded. He proceeded further met a self realized sannyasin and donned the ochre robe after getting initiated into the sannyasa order in the prescribed into the sannyasa order in the prescribed manner. He then started reading the Vedas and books on Vedanta. He possessed some discrimination by virtue of having lived a pious life at home. He reflected on the teaching of the Vedas and Vedanta and become a good saint, sannyasin and acharya. The other sannyasins would come to listen to his discourses. In the month of Shravana, he would contemplate the teachings of land speak on the Brahmasutra. During Chaturmsa he would take recourse to vicharsangr, Panchikarna and other scripture on Vedanta.
The Kumbh mela was held in Haridwar. The Brahmin lady vested the Kumbh Mela along with her neighbors. She heard praises of the sannyasi. The people told her that the great acharya and saint was none other than her husband. She relied He is not my hushed but a sannyasi now.” The former wife followed the other ladies who were going for the sannyasi’s darshan. The satang was going on. No sooner did the group of ladies enter in than the Swami’s group of ladies enters in than the Swami’s eyes fell on his wife. He exclaimed, Hey. How did you come here? The lady said swamiji So you haven’t forgotten me yet?
The swami lowered his head never to raise it or see any body again. His hand remained tied as they were. Somebody or the other would bather him or feed him when he felt hungry. Thirty years passed by in this way. Once when he had gone out some Muslims injured him by thrusting a stick into his body. When the authorities came to know about this atrocity committed on a pious saint they ordered the people to burn down the villages of the diabolic elements. It was then that his hands rose up to forbid then people from doing anything like that. There are such men of firm conviction found in this world.
Tulsidasji was so infatuated with his wife that he crossed a river with the support of a corpse mistaking it for a log wood. He climbed the window of his wife’s room holding on to a python which was hanging on the wall. The wife was taken aback. She said,” You Art this hour?”
“Dear I have come fro you. Why you too have kept a rope hanging for me.”
“Why would I do so?
A lamp was lit.
Oh it is a python. Blinded by lust you climbed this to get in So infatuated you are with may body which is nothing but a cage of flesh and bones you couldn’t perceive even death which was hovering above you. Would you have had so much love for God, you would have attained liberation and been the saviour of others as well.
Tulsidas set out never to turn back and becomes Sant Tulsidas. The moment we learn to repeact our discrimination once the lamp of discrimination is lit, we should protect it form getting extinguished. We do possess discrimination but do not respect it when it shows us that something is wrong. We know by virtue of discrimination that the path to God and self control is good but we slip becomes we don’t respect pure discrimination. We are lured by wealth power flattery, and fall in the ditch of greed infatuation lust anger mine and yours. We should use our discrimination to realize what we should use our discrimination to realize what we gain in the end after attaining eating or doing, something or other visiting other places for sightseeing.
Satsang does light the lamp of discrimination in us but because we fail to protect it, it gets extinguished and we are enveloped by darkness. By the time we get to learn through suffering while living in darkness it is too late. We do get some consolation when somebody helps and saves us but we again extinguish the lamp of discrimination and waste our life. It is god’s compassion, His grace even when you face suffering. God wants to make you His own and neutralize the effects of your past action. It is His grace and mercy that he leads you to the door of a saint.
We could scale great heights if we respect our discrimination. That is why wise sadhaks at time go to cretnation grounds physically or even mentally to keep their discrimination awake. Discrimination brings shatsampatti (calmness, temperance, spirit of renunciation, fortitude, power of concentration of mind and faith) and kindles the desire for liberation.

Dharma Alone is the supreme Good.

Vidurji said to king Dhritarashtra, O king ‘Dharma alone is the bestower of supreme good. The Shrutis ordain, ‘Practice dharma. Never be negligent in its practice.’
What has been ordained by the Vedas is dharma and that which has been prohibited by the Vedas is asharma. The Vedas are an embodiment of the Lord Himself. The Vedas are the very respiration of the Lord. The Vedas, Smriis, conduct of noble and enlightened men and the pleasure of one’s True Self these four are the touch stones of dharma.
One suffers or enjoys in the other world the consequences of the acts of dharma or adharma, carried out by him in this world, and it is directly proportionate to the extent he does them.
‘Wealth facilitates the practice of dharma and dharma leads to happiness.’
Power and liberation are obtained only through the practice of dharma. There are eight avenues of dharma according to scriptures Yajan study of scriptures, charity penance, truthfulness, forgiveness, compassion and non covetousness.
It id by taking recourse to dharma that the rishis have crossed the ovean of samsara. Dharma alone sustains all the worlds. Dharma alone has elevated the gods. Artha i.e. wealth is also dependent on dharma.
‘O king Follow dharma. There is nothing superior to dharma.’ The king who follows the path of dharma treaded by noble men shines in personal glory his kingdom is flush with wealth and crops there by attaining supreme prosperity. On the other hand the king who abandons dharma and embraces the path of adharma suffers downfall. His kingdom shrinks like a piece of leather when it is heated. There fore-
“By means of dharma (virtue) should a kingdom be attained and by means of Dharma should it be governed. The kingly prosperity that has dharma as it’s disappears.’
An illustrative anecdote
In the ‘Vena Parva’ of the Mahabharata, Draupadi, the daughter of the king of panchala says to king Yudhishtahira an embodiment of dharma, O son of Kunti!
Your kingdom and your life are both meant for dharma. You can abandon Bhimasena, Arjuna Nakula sahadaeva and me but you will never abandon the path of dharma. I have heard form noble men that dharma supports and protects the king who protects dharma. But it appears that dharma is not protecting you. What fruits shall the Creator reap by conferring prosperity upon the wily, avaricious who transgresses the sacred scriptures and injures dharma?”
Yudhishtira said, “O fair Lady! I practice dharma (act piously) not for attaining the fruits of dharma but for not transgatessign the Vedas and seeing the conduct of the pious my mind is naturally inclined towards observation of dharma (Virtue). That vile traer of virtue, who wishes to reap the fruits of virtue, is lowly and condemnable according to the pious men (the men of dharma). One should not doubt as defined by the ancient gospel of dharma as defined by the great omniscient and all seeing rishis and duly followed by the noble men. There is no expiation for one who doubts dharma. O blameless Lady If the pieties practiced by the virtuous bore no fruits then the world would have been enshrouded in darkness. Only after knowing for sure that there is God the giver of the fruit men practiced dharma. Dharma is the only highest good dharma never goes in vain.
One should not doubt dharma and the gods’ marble because the fruit of dharma is immediately visible. One should continue to earnestly engage oneself in yajan and charities without any fault funding. This is the law of dharma that one certainly attains the fruits of one’s actions. Therefore, Draupadi bevies this to be true where by your doubt about dharma should be destroyed like the fog in winter.
O blessed lady one who is ever prepared with the full conviction regarding the right course of dharma and leaving aside all doubts takes refuge in dharma alone is entitled to imperishable and eternal bliss in the next world I. e. attains the supreme Lord. Therefore, O wise One Don’t cast ever aspersion o God. Who is the supreme sustainer and nourished of all beings. The mortal human being if he remembers the Lord with devotion attains immortality through His grace. Hence you must not in any manner disregard the highest Divinity, the supreme Lord.”
So, one who conducts himself following the tenets of dharma and keeps dharma above all gains abides in supreme bliss forever.
‘Verily dharma is what sustains the entire universe.’ Therefore never abandon dharma out of desire fear greed or even for the sake of this life. Dharma is eternal; while happiness and sorrow are transient. Forget the eternal Dharma personified Lord Himself Who verily is the abode of uninterrupted and immutable Bliss.
The history of Mahabharata is a testimony to the retribution attained by Duryodhana the transgressor of Dharma, who appeared to the happy and prosperous but was eventfully along with his supporters and allies.
The Pandavas who appeared to be destitute and poverty stricken were nevertheless calm cheerful and easeful. They finally attained both material pleasures and moksha, thus ending up with nectarine liberation. Thus simply driven by the apparent glitter and glamour of the external world one should not ever abandon dharma that sets one free form attachment to the world and endow him with abiding peace, contemned and over for the Lord.’

(‘Rishi Prasad’ Correspondent)

While on the hand lakhs of devotees in big cities are longing to have darshan and satsang of pujya Bapuji, the compassion incarnate Bapuji a friend of the mcck choose people living in small towns and villages for dispensing the nectar of devotion and love for the Lord people who hand been hitherto deprived of satsang. Quilts and blankets were distributed to save many poor and needy people from cold. Also Shunthi paak (a preparation make form dry ginger), dates and other foods that provide nourishment to the body in winters distributed. More than all this, pujyashree gave them the amour of satang that alone can save man form the missiles of pleasures and pains in the world and suffused their minds intellects and hearts with devotion and love for the Lord.
The blessed devotees of Chhoti Khaatu (Rajasthan) had the good fortune of Satsang on (1st December). True to the name the village was small but the devotional and enthusiasm of the people was gigantic. The whole villages seemed to have assembled for the single session satsang. The students too were given satsang and guidance on this occasion and were taught yogic techniques of all round success in life.
5th December was the day of celebration for people of Pipad (Rajasthan). Their beloved sat guru was in their midst on that day. Enlightening the people there on the significance of Satsang, pujyashri satiated them with satsang. In the night pujyashri arrived at the Joshpur Ashram.
On 7th December there was a single session satsang programme,. In spit of there being absolutely no publicity for the satsang programme the mammoth crowds proved the arrangements to be inadequate. Along with common people many saints’ luminaries of spiritual world attended the satsang and received guidance in respect of safeguarding and propagating the eternal India culture. Inspiring people to get beyond goodness and badness and attain to the supreme state of God Realization pujyashri quoted this verse from the Gita.
‘Earth water fire air ether mind intellect and egoism thus is my Nature divided eightfold.’
Good or bad all are in this eightfold nature our real nature is entirely different form it.
This satsang dealing with the Ultimate Truth was delivered in the course of Pujyashri’s solitude and the devotees of Jodhpur availed of the opportunity in full naeaseure.
On 10the December pujyashri arrived at Amdavad. Devotees coming from Sawai Shamgiri Math Mirpur Khas Tando Adam Berani and Talhar Padir ect. In Pakistan availed of Pujyashri’s Darshan and satsang bearing testimony to the reverence people from all religions castes and nationalities show towards pujya Bapuji and the sublime joy they derive fro His satsang.
Purnima Darshan programme was at Amdaved on 11th December and 12the December (up to morning). Lakhs of devotees from states like Gujarat Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh etc.Availed of darshan and sstsnag here.
Immediately on arriving at the rostrum Bapuji asked the devotees, “You people have had so much of satsang: are you still not satiated?’
Devotees said with one voice, No! “
Then pujyashri said If one is satiated with spiritual satsang, it only means that he doesn’t know the significance and glory of spirituality. One can get fed up with the world; one can be satiated with food but the joy of spirituality is such that the more you imbibe the thirstier you are. Like amla and honey Sportual and it also kindles the appetite. If one has true faith, one has appetite for satsang and it gets digested as well.
Without satisfying spiritual hunger one cannot satisfy physical hunger. One can fell disinclined towards food but one’s hunger is not destroyed. Moral progress is not possible without spiritual progress and material progress without moral one brings only trouble and misery.
Purnima Darshan Progaramme was organized at Delhi’s Japani Park Rohini from12th December afternoomn to 14th December. “Placing reliance on worldly objects on becomes small but if one laces reliance on God all joys and pleasures come automatically an one, ovens towards real progress.’ Putting light on this philosophical fact of human life pujyashree revealed the significance of taking refuge in God.
Pujyashri showed the straight and simple path of Self Knowledge of rejoicing in the self and being satisfied and contented in the self to the ignorant men looking in vain fro delight satisfaction and contentment in the world.
Delhites were treated to a sumptuous fare of spiritual joy in the three day satsang. The satsang programme was scheduled to end at noon on 14th December yet the devotees thirst for satsang was not quenched and they entreated pujya Bapuji for one more session of satsang. Acceding to their request pujya Bapuji allotted the evening session of satsang o Delhi making the devotees feel immensely blessed.
The Satsang on16 the and 17th December fell into the lap of Narnaul (Haryana). Pujya Bapuji left Delhi for Narnaul in the morning of 16th December. This news places on the way with garlands in their hands and longing for darshan in their eyes. When these lovers of Pujya Bapuji were blessed with a few words of satsang along with Darshan their joy knew no bounds.
`When puhjashri arrived at Narnaul in the evening of 16the December the pandal was overawed with thousands of people in the pandal and many more outside it. According to local people such huge crowds hand never been witnessed at narnaul. Addressing the people at Narnaul the Birth place of the historic personality of Birbal and also the place where Maharishi Chyavan performed austerities, pujyashri said, The jiva himself has to enjoy the fruit of happiness or suffer that of sorrow resulting from his actions and the bondage of karma acontinces so long as the doer sense is there. When one starts taking delight in the True Self the doer sense is extinguished. For such person Lord Krishna says there is no duty for him. Such a one becomes a saint. He is not a doer then whether he is a king like king janaka and Lord Rama angering the affairs of Mithila Ayodhya respectively or lives on alms Shukdeva he is doing all he does as a spontaneous act for general good.
A grand bhandara too was organiesed here. Two sessions of satang, 17th evening and 18th morning were given to the people of Mahenragarh (Haryana) This being Pujyashri first visit to the newly comstcted Ashram here the sadhakas and devotees were in a festive mood. Pujyashri awakened the people here to the need of rearing and protecting cows.
A question was put by some inquisitive as to what are the qualities enlightened men. Quoting from the sukhamni pujya Bapuji said:
‘Who can estimate the were of Brahman? Only a Bramajanani can know the divine spiritual state of the Brahmajnani.’
Nobody can weigh enlightened saints on his own scale. Shukdeva was an ascetic whereas Maharshi Vashishtaji hand a hundred sons. Enlightened saints cannot be judge on the dais of their out worldly behavior. However if you approach them with faith in your heart you get a glimpse of their greatness.”
In the aftehrnoon of 18th December, satsang and bhandara was orgainsed at Rewari Ashram (Haryana). Quilts Shunthi paak calendars photos of Pujya Bapuji and other articles of this nature were distributed fro free amongst the poor people here. Distinguished members of the society were present on the occasion. Addressing the devotes pujya Bapuji and Nobody should be under the mistaken belief that only those aviailing of the hbandara are poor. In fact those who consider themselves to be rich and respectable became of wealth position or learning they self knowledge they too are poor if they lack self knowledge and Self Biss. Those under the power of mind and sense are verily poor.
Only saints and even among the saints the rare ones who seek supreme Good for us can do such plain speak. People of Sohna (Hearyana) had the good fortune of satsang on 20th and 21st December. In the company of Pujya Dapuji the devotees here experienced different shades of spirituality. Now they were immersed in the calm of meditation and now they were undulating to the rhythm lf Kirtan. The entire town was suffused with the spirit of Pujya Bapuji Smashing the doubt of ceria devotes as to whether God Administers justice or showered mercy pujya Bapuji said that God is both just and merciful. His justice aspect is reflected in Karma principle of devotion. Pujya Bapuji said God is just He is merciful as well and He is supremely benevolent friend of all f us. God; administers justices by punishing the evil men, is compassionate towards those who atone for their sins and is a friends to His devotees. God is giver of fear as well as destroyer of fear, Pujyashri enlightened people on how all are uplifted by God and the Guru. Pujyashri said There are three types of people in the world on do not do sadhana and the thirdly there are people who act contrary to the path of God. Ahilya is not able to do sadhana to realize God Lying as a stone as she is. The Lord liberates her with His Compassion. Rishis are equipped with sadhan; the Lord helps them on the path of sadhana or arranges their meeting a sad Guru. The sadhana equipped king Parikshit realized God in Just seven days! So all the three types of people devoied of sagdhana equipped with sahanan and perverse people are up lifted by God and the Guru.”
Along with satsang blankets and dates were distributed among poor people here and ad bhandara was organised. Truly great are such saints who unmindful of the inconvenience suffered by them travel incessantly to dispense peace happiness and good health amongst the people. To those who are health amongst the people. TO those who are living in want of material effects they give material help and to those who are suffering from attainment to material comforts they bestow the gift of spirituality
