Those who do Namaskar become great

All great people have been young children and youngsters in the beginning. Therefore students should ponder on the fact that if so many young children and youngsters can become great ten why not us? They should not be proud of being big. However they should have the important desire of making the greatness of their soul apparent by kindling their latent spiritual powers. That is our birthright.
What to become great? Regularly bow to your parents and your sat guru obeys their wishes serve and be positive towards them. Lord Shri Krishna made Arjun his medium for transmitting to humanity the key to unlocking one’s soul’s greatness:
‘Know that by long prostration by question and by service the wise who have relished the Truth will instruct you in (that) knowledge.’
How mush importance God is giving to the act of humbly prostrating at the feet of self realized Sat gurus!
How does one’s life span increase by paying respect? If you look to history for an answer, you will find many examples.
There was a sage called Mrikandu. His son’s name was Markandeya. A self realized great man come to Mrakandu Rishi’s ashram. Mrikandu Rishi told his son, Son do namaskar.”
The son paid respect to the great man with a lot of kindness and humility. The great man was looking at Markndeva in a focused way.
Mrikandu Rishi enquired, “Maharaj, what are you looking at?”
The self realized great man said, the child is very god but he has very few years to live.”
The rishi asked, “Maharaj what should we do?”
“Sage you good son ha paid respect to m. I will definitely show you the path for your king son’s wellbeing.”
The evolved man meditated. After a while he opened hi eyes and said, “Mrikandu, Self realized souls are nothing but God’s physical form. Wherever they go becomes a pilgrimage site. They become happy when you humbly and gently pay respect to them. That is why they are considered as direct visible form of Lord Shiva. If your son continues to pay respect and has faith in great souls who are full of compassion then he will their guidance and one day he will go on to create history. He will be know for and will exemplify this wonderful saying in our spiritual literature:
‘By regular paying obeisance to elders and by serving them a human being’s life span intellect fame and strength these four attributes increase.’
The boy continued to pay respect with a lot of humility and kindness to great souls. One day the seven sages (saptarishis) came there. Markandeya paid respect to them. The seven sages blessed him thus, May you becomes immortal”.
Mrikandu said Maharaj you blessed him but hi life span is short. Kindly suggest us a way so that you’re blessing will fully franticly.”
“Sage let him worship Lord Sankar. Your boy will bring glory to you family.”
That boy who was filled with devotion traded the guidance and advice of the seven rishis as the advice of a guru and got immersed in worshipping Lord Shiva.”
According to his karma when his lifespan got over Yamraj appeared seated on a buffalo. The boy got scared when he saw Yuma’s from. He hugged the Shivling and called out with great fervor: Oh Remover of fears Oh protector Help me help me Protect Me Protect Me!”
Lord Sankar appeared with his trident He said to Yamraj Why do you went to take him?
Yamraj replied his lifespan is over.”
“Look again Look properly.”
When Yamraj looked at Marakndeya, there was no end to his dismay. In Marknadeya destiny there was no evidence of death approaching. Yamarj turned around and left. Whatever Sankar says that happens.
Lord Ashutosh said,”Markandeya “You have accepted with great respect the guidance to these wise evolved people who are my embodiment. You have shown devotion to me you have done japa of May name. I am extremely happy with you. You will immortal till the end of this kalpa you will be called immortal.”
In the list of seven immortals now the name of marakndeya has been added.
Till date for obtaining a long life these eight immortals are remembered in the morning by charting this shloka.
There is so much greatness associated with the custom of doing masker that even if a person pays respect to God with cunningness his or her well beings occurs.
