Inspiration for virtue


There was once a highly successful and famous personality, always engaged in doing good to others. He was not good-looking. He had the habit of keeping a mirror with himself and several times in a day he used to himself the mirror. People wondered this strange habit of and were curious to know the reason behind this behavior


One of his close friends could not hold this curiosity and asked him as to why he looked into mirror so often. He replied in all humility, ‘Looking into the mirror inspires me to think that since God has given me an unsightly body, I should do good deeds with so much earnestness that it becomes an ideal or model for world. Those endowed with good looks should also see their faces in the mirror and think that they should not do anything that would disgrace such a wonderful gift of nature.’ This self-reflection by this pious personality inspires us to always pursue virtue. All of you are either handsome or not so handsome. Those who are handsome should be careful lest they should disgrace their handsomeness by an unwholesome act. Those who do not have good looks should think of making up the lack of good should think of making up the lack of good looks by good deeds. Work as an instrument of the Lord for the sake of the Lord. Work for the good of others.

One has to make sacrifices in body, mind and wealth to achieve something great even in this illusory Maya. How can one hope to attain the True and perfect Lord without renunciation?

One can attain the State of Immortality only through constant practice of reverential Japa of lord’s name

*Only if one is endowed with inner vision, is able to distinguish between one’s well wishers and selfish people. Otherwise like a sightless person, who has lost his power of discernment, one considers the Sadguru, who is supreme well wisher, as distant considers selfish men as his own

*Do all what you do for the Lord’s sake. This will save you from the bondage of ‘karma.’ If consider yourself to be the doer of actions, you will have to bear the consequences thereof.


*Do not ever misuse the endowments of the ‘supreme Benefactor.’ That is don’t be conceited don‘t cause misery to your fellow beings.


*Whatever you think or do is known to your Indweller Lord. Therefore, let every thought and every action of yours be yours be for the Lord’s pleasure.

*If you want to attain success on the spiritual path, open and honest. Do not let your mental desires and intellectual cleverness derail you from the path ordained by Sadguru.

*Do not feel jealous of others’ prosperity. Do not waste your energy feuding with them. Strive to attain self-Glory instead. Success attained by repressing others is bound to be transient.

*Be remorseful for your own misdeeds. Only if a strong revulsion for such evil deeds develops in your heart does it denote that your heart does it denote that you have atoned for the sins. Do atone for the sins committed by you do not ever feel disheartened


*Evaluate and assess your mind whether it is moving towards love and devotion for revered Sadguru’s lotus feet or towards worldly attractions. Love for the Sadguru will take you to the Supreme State whereas affection the illusory Maya will entrap you in the cycle of birth and death.

Lest you of no use to the Lord

The perspective only of those great Sadguru who have attained God’s essential nature of Existence Consciousness Bliss Absolute destroys our false beliefs. Otherwise the scriptures and the social system and customs lay all kinds of traps for us. We get out of one only to fall into another. Like a spider’s cobweb, there are a number of webs wife, son, business, society that enmesh man.

The son will say, ‘’papa! Your duty to look after your children. I’ m still very to look after your children. I m still very young. Let me study and be settled; only then should you go for spiritual sadhana.’’ The Father has your father? It is your dour to care for your aging parents. Each member of the family tries to fool the others in order to serve his own selfish interests.

The politician will ask, ‘You must work for me.’ Everybody will use you and abandon you when you are no longer of use to him. Only when you come by the Sadguru, he will tell you, ‘You think you served others but he alone is really useful to others, who fist accomplishes his own task.’

Otherwise he will give no real help to those whom he wants to help. Buddha could serve others because he had first accomplished his own task. Kabirji accomplished task; so did I. That why I’ m able to give real help to others. Had I not been alert to accomplish own task and had strayed into the pursuit of degrees or titles or of becoming ‘something,’ I’ not have been useful to others in the real sense. During Bhandaras, when tribals take home the distributed items, the happiness on their faces gives me the satisfaction of being of use to them.

When I come in your midst, I can get you queue up with gifts in hand for my ‘Darshan.’ I can extract money on one pretext or other. In that case, I am of use to you; therefore I save you from all wastage of time and money and try my best to elevate you spiritually.

One serves the society with the body; one serves the Lord with the mind; but it is only through solitude, worship of the Lord and the yoga of wisdom that one serves oneself.

We may assist our fellow beings or the society with physical body we should not exhaust ourselves so much that we are of no use to the Lord. Our mind can serve the Lord only if the body is given some rest and the mind is calm and composed. With such mind alone you can love The Lord and that is only service you can render to Him.

Do serve the society give food to the hungry; quench the thirst of the thirsty; give education to the uneducated; teach good sense to the imprudent. In sum, trying to ensure present and long term wellbeing of your fellow beings is serving the society. This does mean that I should serve the drunkard by giving him liquor and non vegetarian food or the lustful by making arrangements for his gratification. Serve others within the bounds of righteousness. Suppose you’ ve resolved to give away five thousand rupees in charity on occasion of Diwali and you spend the money on buying movie tickets among the railway porters seeking to make them happy. Have wasted your money and they have wasted their time and energy. Their minds and the society have become depraved. You have not served them. One should give charity at an appropriate time, at an appropriate place and to an appropriate person. You should aim at the donee’s wellbeing, at elevating him, not at his pleasure. The intellect may be Sattvic at times and Rajasic or Tamasic at others but there is something that remains unchanged and witnesses all the changes in the intellect

Knowing that something is the yoga of wisdom and that serving oneself. Then there is ever new joy, ever new insight, ever new bliss. Then we do not have to hanker after outside pleasure. Lord Indra says, ‘It is great good fortune to come by a Self Realized Sadguru. The pleasures of damsels dancing, demigods singing and the celestial musicians playing the instruments are readily available to me But a kind glance of one who has realized his True Self and has accomplished his own task gives new joy. As the Moon gives ever new sweetness, there waves in the heart of a Self Realized saint ever new sweetness many times of it and also ever new Divine Knowledge and ever new Divine Love. The Moon nourishes the medicnal herbs but the words of such saint and their glances nourish our True Self.’

Putrada Ekadashi


Yudhishthira asked, ‘’what is the name of the Ekadashi that falls in the bright half of the month of Shravana? O Madhusudana, please favour me and be scribe it to me.’’



Lord Sri Krishna said, ‘’O king! Listen attentively to this ancient tale. At the beginning of the Dwapara Yuga, a king named Mahijit ruled over Mahismatipur. But he was not happy with his royal life, as he had no son. Worried about his advancing age, the king expressed his anguish before the assembly of subjects in these words,



’O my beloved people! In this life of mine, I have committed no sin. I have not put any unjustly earned money into my treasury. I have never taken money from a Brahmin or deity. I have looked after the people like my own children and have conquered Iands righteously. I have punished the wicked even if they were dear to me as my friend or son. I have always honoured respectable persons and have never hated anybody. Please contemplate and find out the reason why a son is not born to me.



The Brahmins, along with the subjects and priests, desiring the wellbeing of the king, went into a dense forest in search of the hermitages of Sages. Finally they chanced upon the excellent sage Lomasha




Lomashaji had imbibed the esoteric meaning of Dharma, was proficient in all sacred texts, had lived a long life and was magnanimous. This great omniscient Sage was named Lomasha as he had hair all over his body. Interestingly with the passage of a kalpa (a day in life of Lord Brahma, equal to 4.32 billion human years), one hair of body would fall off. Was effulgent and lustrous as Lord Brahma Himself




Everyone was very glad to see him. The excellent sage asked them, ‘’what bring here. I shall certainly do what is good for you.’’



The people said, ‘’O excellent among Brahmins! King Mahijit who rules over Mahishmatipur has no son. We are his subjects, whom he has looked after like his own children. We cannot just bear his grief of being without son and hence have come here with the firm determination to practice penance. O excellent among Brahmin! By virtue of the good fortune of king Mahijit we have been blessed with your holy Darshan, which in itself is enough to accomplish all tasks. O sage! Please tell us the means to accomplish our objective of helping the king have a son.’’




Maharshi Lomasha sat down in meditation for while. He took a cursory overview of the King’s previous births and then said, ‘’in his previous birth, your king was a poor Vaishya who fleeced people. Engaged in trade, he roamed from village to village. One day scorching noon of the tenth day of the bright half of the month of Jyeshtha, when the Sun had reached the centre of the sky, he saw a pond on the outskirts of a village. As he approached it order to satisfy his thirst, a cow with her calf also came to the pond. Oppressed by thirst and heat, the cow started drinking water from the pond. The Vaishya drove cow away and drank water himself. Due to that sinful act, in his present life the king is without a son. The religious merits from his other previous births have endowed him with this trouble-free kingdom.’’




The people said, ‘’O sage! We have learnt from the puranas sins can be washed away by the merits of virtuous deeds. Therefore please prescribe us the virtuous deed through which this sin of the king can be atoned.’’




Lomasha said, ‘’O men! Observe a fast Putrada Ekadashi, which falls in the bright half of the month of Shravana. This will give the desired results.’’





The people then bowed before the Sage and went back to the city. They me ticulously observed a fast on Putrada Ekadashi as per the prescribed procedure. They kept awake throughout the night and gave The merits of this religious observance the king. Soon the queen conceived. In dut course of time she gave birth to a lustrous son.


One who listens to the importance of this pious observance is delivered from sins, bestowed with happiness in this world and attains to heaven after death.’’



1. He was a great Muni practicing terrible penance and a great man of sacrifice. He was such a donor that he offered even his body. Indra made his formidable weapon, the thunderbolt, with his bones. 2. He was a great founder of Hindu Swaraj. A protector of Dharma and the nation he was, the pride of mother India. A mighty commander who fought for independence and self esteem, Who was that brave warrior, a worshipper of Mother Bhavani?




3. He gave the clarion call to the nation for freedom in the Iand of Rajasthan. Never did he bow his head before the Mughal emperors. A descendent of Rana Sanga, self-esteem. Who was that great patriot whose immortal story is imprinted in the valley called Haldi Ghaati?



4. The tales of valour of these Great Heroes will forever be sung. They have attained God Realization, the most heroic of heroic of heroic feats. After attaining Self- realization, nothing more remains to be accomplished. Attachment cant cannot delude him and desires do not arise in His mind. He was blessed with the grace and knowledge of the absolute Guru and thus He became ‘Asharam’, the master from Asumal. What is that Supreme State, these Great Heroes

’O My Sadgurudev! You are an ocean of happiness, free from all sorrows! Bliss is your very nature! Are pure Consciousness all forms, including Lord Brahma the Cosmic Form, Come to end. You are unfathomable and are capable of destroying the evils of Kaliyuga. You are capable of doing anything, not doing anything and of undoing anything. There is nothing which is possible for you. Your glories are endless and are mystifying even to Lord Brahma. In spite of being eternal, infinite and unfathomable, you have taken this human form to bestow your mercy on the living souls. You are the God in human form ever available on earth. Glory be you!




You are an ocean of mercy, full of compassion for all beings! O Gurudev! All glories to you! Sincerely the aarti as you are like my parental home to me.’




‘O my Sadgurudev! You are our mother. A girl finds solace to come back to her mother’ s place when she is meted out harsh treatment at her in laws’ place. But she doesn’t find absolute bliss there as has attachment for the parents. But O Gurudev! When one comes to you, one attains absolute and bliss free from all attachment. You are a mother without any material attachment. And your words are so powerful that just by listening to them one attains God Realization. This state cannot be described by words as words have their limitations. One attains Supreme Bliss and becomes silent. His condition is like a dumb man who is eating gur for the first time and cannot express the joy he is getting. In this way, due to the mercy of the Sadguru attains Self Bliss. Sri Samarth Ramdas swami says that one only thing required on the part of a disciple is sincerity and by unwavering faith and love for the Guru with the conviction that he is embodiment of the Supreme Being, he attains the bliss of God Realization.




The basement and middle floors were sunk in the water in the water. But obeying Guru’s command, Devarao had bought the top floor ticket. He safely watched from above. In the meanwhile, help arrive and he was rescued. Not only does Gurudev take care of the afterlife of his disciples, he takes care of his disciples in ther worldly life as well. If one obeys his commands, one is saved from all troubles. The disciple should put his abilities to right use; should not give importance to hankerings for worldly things; and should never be proud of wealth and power. In addition to this, a little bit of obedience to the commands of Sadguru with unwavering faith takes the disciple across the ocean of Samsara.

By virtue of Rishi Prasad Seva…


Earlier I was working for a small company and after some time I opened a firm in partnership, which in loss. My financial condition became so bad that I did not have the money to pay rent. I used to be tense and worried.



A sadhaka brother took me to Bapuji’s satsang. After listening to satsang I became so full of bliss that I forgot all my tensions. Realizing that God’s name is the only support and protector of jiva, I took Mantra Diksha from bapuji and stared practiong japa. Leaving the partnership business I started my own business. Slowly and slowly I started getting work and my condition went on improving. One of co disciples suggested’ Rishi prasad’ Seve as menas to hap pines and peace. I took the resolve immedi ately and stared the seva. After that I made continuous progress in my life.



My financial distress was completely gone. I had no child till ten years of my mar riage. My wife started making the members of Rishi Prasad and as a result she birth to a girl child.


By the grace of Bapuji today I have everything. Presently I run ‘Rishi Prasad Seva Mandal’ and myself to be fortunate that I got the chance of serving people by way of Rishi Prasad Seva I feel very happy when tell about Bapuji to others. Thousands of salutations at the feet of Sadgurudev!

Anadmayi Maa sent me to Bapuji

the feet of Sadguru! I got Mantra Diksha sitting near the feet of Anadmayi Maa. I the good fortune of being in Maa’s company for two and a half years. Then Maa left this world and Salutation got abs orbed into the Supreme Brahman. When I met Maa for the last time then Maa said, ‘’Dear daughter! Keep the God always in mind and keep on increasing Sadhana’’ After she left, I became very sad and used to cry remembering her. In the year 1989 Maa came in my dream and said, Daughter! You go into the tutelage of Bapuji. Rest of your Sadhana will be completed there See me in Bapu. I and Bapu are not different.’’ Then I took diksha from Bapuj!. After I had various spiritual experiences. I got from the company and satsang of Bapuji bliss of the same kind as I used to get siting near Anadmayi Maa’s holy feet.

I had 100 disciples whom I had given Mantra Diksha but after I had Bapuji’s Darshan, I felt th bapuji is one saint who can do good to all and give dirve direction to all. He ca uplift all spiritually. I took all my disciples to Bapuji and got them initiated by him. I and my disciples got by bapuji Bapuji bestowing Mantra Diksha us. Really those people are fortunate who reach the feet of Bapuji. I will remain indebted to Bapuji for my whole life. I have full faith that Bapuji will complete my whole Sadhana which was left half way after Maa passed away. Bowing in the feet of Bapuji with faith and total surrender I salute him.


Nectarean Fruit: Bilva

That which destroys diseases is Bilva. Proper use of Bel fruit makes the Body healthy and well proportionate. The roots of Bel tree, branches, leaves, bark and fruit, all possess medicinal values. Along with the inherent property of providing strength to the heart and freshness to the mind, it also renders peace and harmony to the mind. It is oily, and hot in nature. Avolatile oil, full of medicinal properties, is found in its pulp, leaves and the seeds. The properties and benefits of raw and ripe Bel fruit are different.

Raw Bel fruit increases the appetite and digestive power and acts as a vermin cide. It absorbs the watery part of the stool and hence is extremely beneficial in diarrhea and dysentery. Its regular use

protects one from cholera.
Ripe Bel fruit is sweet, astringent, and difficult to digest. It acts as a mild laxative.
Medicinal Use:
1. Irritable bowel syndrome: in this disease digestion becomes very weak and the patient becomes very weak and the patient suffers from foetid diarrhea. Boil the pulp of 2 Bel fruits
With 400 mi of water and filter it. A fter cooling take it with 20 grams of honey.

In case of chronic conditions 100grams of Bel fruit pulp with 250 grams of milk divided into three equal doses and taken in the morning, it the afternoon and in the evening daily is helpful

2 Dysentery: The Bel fruit gives strength to the intestines. Taking pulp of one Bel fruit
after removing the seeds, every morning and evening, and relieves intestinal colic.

3 Burning sensations: Taking 25 grams of Bel pulp with 200 ml of water and 25 grams of sugar candy relives burning sensations in chest, stomach, eyes and feet.

4 Mouth Ulcers: Boil pulp of one Bel fruit 100grams of water and filter it upon cooling. Rainse with that water.

5 Prameh (a disease in which which sperm and other vital humour of the body emanate through urine): powder the bark of Bel and Bakul and take 2 grams of the powder with milk.

6 Mental fatigue: pulp of Bel fruit should be kept mixed with water in an earthen pot overnight. Filter. It in the morning and mix it with sugar candy and take it every day. It keeps the mind fresh.

7 Earache and deafness: Grind the Bel fruit in cow’s urine. Mix it with 100 ml of milk, 300 ml of water and 100 ml of sesame oil and boil it on a low flame. 4 drops of this Bilva seasoned Oil relieves earache and is also beneficial for deafness.

8 Vomiting: Taking 30 ml to 50 ml of boiled juice (kadha) of the peel of Bel fruit along with honey relieves vomiting caused by any of the three Doshas.

Some effective home remedies

*Lactogen remedies:

1. Take equal quantities of cumin seeds, funnel seeds and sugar. Grind them sepa the mixture with milk and take 1 spoon of the mixture with milk twice a day. This will promote milk production.

2. Gently massaging the mother’s breasts with castor oil twice a day promotes milk production.

*Getting a fair child:

1. if a pregnant woman chews fennel seeds after meals up to 9 months of gestation, it will help her in getting a good com plexioned beautiful baby.

2.Everyday taking the Amla jam (jam prepared with Indian gooseberry) with breakfast will add glow to the child’s skin and also give health to mother and the baby.
*To improve the digestive power of the baby: if mother drinks a glass of water before breast-feeding her baby it facilitates the digestion of milk and the baby does not suffer from vomiting and diarrhea.
Other Remedies:
*The remedy that stimulates the digestive fire and helps in abdominal disorders: Take1/2-1 gram of dry ginger powder mixed with jiggery after meals for few days. It will stimulate the digestive fire. It helps in indigestion, hyperacidity, dysentery, abdominal colic and many other stomach disorders.

*Cough and cold: inhale through right nostril and hold the breath for 25 seconds and then exhale through left nostril. Keep chanting ‘Hari om… Hari om’ mentally and repeat this for 5-7 times. This will cure cough and cold.

*Constipation: Constipation causes many diseases. Try the following remedies to cure it.

(1) Drink uncooked spinach juice.

(2)Eat an apple on empty stomach in the morning.

(3)Eat ripe papaya.

(4) Drink Bel sherbet without adding salt or sugar to it.

*For dark thick hair: Dry peels of lemon soaked in coconut oil for 8-10 days in sunlight. Then strain the oil and rub it on the hair roots on the scalp. It will darken the hair roots on the scalp. It will darken the hair and make it thick.

*Gram flour shampoo: if you use the gram flour mixed thoroughly with water in place of soap and wash the head with Amla juice after one hour twice week. This will make the hairs completely clean, soft and shiny. This will also help one get rid of itching and boils on the scalp.

*Daha (burning sensations): Make a paste from the finely ground leaves of karela (bitter gourd) and apply it to both palms and soles of feet. It will give relief from burning sensations. Applying cow ghee or castor oil to soles of feet, or even walking bare bare feet on green grass in early morning helps in burning sensations.

Devshayani Ekadashi

Yudhishthira asked Sri Krishna, ‘’O Lord! Kindly tell me the name and observance procedure of the Ekadashi falling in the bright fortnight of month of Ashadha.’’
Lord Krishna said, ‘’O king! The name of the Ekadashi falling in the bright fortnight of Ashadha is ‘Devshayani’. I will presently expound upon it. It is extremely virtuous. The observance of this vrata yields supreme virtues, endows one with the gifts of heaven, salvation and absolution from all sins. Ob servance of fast and worshipping of the lotus-eyed Lord Vishnu with lotus flowers on the day of Devshayani in the bright half of Ashadha is equivalent to worshipping all the three worlds along with the Trinity of Lords Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
On the day of ‘Harishayani Ekadashi’ one of my forms resides at king Bali’s palace and the other one lies asleep with Sheshanaga as the bed in the ocean of milk till the bright fortnight Ekadashi of the forthcoming month of kartika. Therefore, from the Ekadashi of the bright fortnight of the month of Ashadha to the Ekadashi of bright fortnight of the month of kartika, one should meticulously practice Dharma. One, who observes the vrata of this Ekadashi attains an exalted abode after death. Therefore, one should effortfully ob serve a fast on this Ekadashi. One should remain awake throughout the night of Ekadashi and, with a heart full of devotion, worship Lord Vishnu, the bearer of the conch, discus and club. Even the four headed Lord Brahma is unable to calculate the virtues earned through this practice. O king! This Ekadashi bestows all worldly pleasures well as salvation and destroys all sins. One, who observes the excellent vrta of this Ekadashi, remains ever engaged in endeavors that are dear tome, even though he might be a chandal by caste. Those who donate lamps, eat food on palasha leaves and observe the vratas during the four months between the Ekadashi of the bright fortnight of the month of Ashadha to the Ekadashi of the bright fortnight of the month of kartika, are very dear to me. In the course of these four months, Lord Vishnu remains asleep in Samadhi. Therefore, one should also sleep on the ground. One should not eat green leafy vegetables the month of Shravana, curds in Bhadrapada, milk in Ashwina and pulses in kartika. Observance of Brahmacharya during these four months leads one to supreme state. O king! By observing the vrata of Ekadashi itself one is delivered from all sins. Therefore, one should always observe the vrata of this Ekadashi without fail Of the Ekadashi of the dark fortnights, only those falling between the ‘Devshayani’ and ‘Bodhini’ Ekadashis and not the others should be observed by householders. However they should observe all the Ekadashis occurring during the bright fortnights throughout the year.

On 27th March the residents of Shahjahanpur (U.P.) were blessed with holy satsang. Describing the significance of satsang in keeping us impervious to every possible problem of life, Pujyashree said, “He who listens to satsang with due reverence, deals with massive problems of life as if they were for his entertainment. Rather these problems help in fortifying his inner strength. On the contrary, Even small problems appear big to the one who does not listen to satsang or does not abide by the precepts given in the satsang. There is not a single problem big enough to suppress your True Self. There is also no trouble big enough to hurt you.”

28 March, Bareilly (U.P.): the devotees benefited immensely from the ambrosial stream of satsang here. Elucidating the glory of Srimad Bhagwad Gita, revered Bapuji said, and “If you’re able to comprehend properly even a single sloka (verse) of the Gita, you can never experience despair and distress even if you wish to do so You can’t send happiness away even if you want to. So the Knowledge of the Gita does not allow you to be distressed nor does it allow you to be without happiness. He who does not abide by the holy precepts of the Gita ends up hankering after pleasure which always remains elusive. Trying in vain to make troubles go away, he himself goes away to the kingdom come. Even at the time of death. He departs grief stricken from this world.”

The satsang was held in Haldwani (Uttara Khand) on 30th March and in Kashipur (Uttara Khand) on 31st March. On 1st April, at Moradabad (U.P.) revered Bapuji explained the technique of consecrating the life through devotion and dedication to the Supreme Lord, “It is through affection and devotion to the Lord that one can learn the art of living. One bereft of love for the Lord falls for and indulges in sense enjoyment and becomes petty. But one endowed with love for the Lord overcomes weakness for sense enjoyments and sooner or later, attains God-Realization.”

4th & 5th April (Noon) Ulhasnagar (Mah.): Chetichand festival was celebrated here in Pujya Bapuji’s holy presence. Revered Bapuji gave green signal to the grand Sankirtan Yatra organized by the Sindhi community. All present started dancing blissfully. The entire Sindhi community of the area felt grateful to Pujya Bapuji, the epitome of perfection, for spreading the fragrance of this festival throughout the world by making it part of the satsang, which was being telecast live. During the moments of departure, they were enraptured feeling blessed and gratified. Blessed indeed were the Chetichand committees of Ulhasnagar and Maharashtra.

After spreading bliss and exuberance in Ulhasnagar on the sacred occasion of Chetichand, Pujya Bapuji arrived at Ahmedabad on 5th April afternoon. A mammoth crowed of Sindhi devotees reached Ahmedabad airport in a grand procession and cordially received their beloved ‘Sainji’ amidst shower of flower petals and rhythmic beats of drums. At their insistence, Pujyashri seated himself in a decorated carriage. The devotees found themselves spell-bound as Pujya Bapuji delivered a Knowledge-based satsang about Lord Jhulelalji.

April 5th 7th, Chetichand festival was celebrated in Ahmedabad. A great number of people benefited from the sacred satsang. Pujya Bapuji said in the course of satsang, “A jiva is born in this world; but the Lord incarnates Himself. The jiva takes birth with the bondage of his actions and as a result thereof; desire brings him to the world. The Lord incarnates Himself of His own accord, by His own free will out of love and compassion for men and to set matters right here on the earth.”

Pujya Bapuji remained in solitude from 7th April at Delhi, from 9th April (evening) at Dehradoon, from 10th April (Evening) at Rishikesh, from 12th April (Morning) at Haridwar and from 14th April (Noon) again at Delhi.

From 15th to 17th April Bahadurgarh (Haryana): Poonam Darshan and satsang was held here. After several years of wait, people here felt blessed to attain the elixir of satsang. Enlightening people about real development, revered Bapuji said, “Development! What is happening in the name for destruction? The touchstone for real development is the amount of self-restraint, artlessness, honesty and equanimity you have acquired in your life.”

On 17th and 18th April, on the occasion of ‘Chaitri Purnima,’ a programme of satsang and Purnima Darshan was organized in Valsad (Guj.) On this sacred occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, (Birthday of god Hanuman), Pujyashree enlightened people about the great vow of service observed by Hanumanji, the son of Wind god.

In the evening of 18th April, Pujyashree arrived at ‘Hinglaj’ where thousands of devotees who had been eagerly wait for Gurudev’s visit, felt blessed and immensely blissful. Here Pujyashree inaugurated a marvelous, newly constructed ‘Gurumandir. Satsang was also held here. Thereafter revered Bapuji reached Dandi ashram which is situated on the sea-shore. Here a mammoth crowd of devotees had thronged to avail the nectarean satsang and Darshan of revered Bapuji. Pujyashree stayed in Bhairvi ashram for the night.

On 19th April morning, Pujyashree arrived at Jogvel where a huge bhandara was held. Rice, sugar, oil hot cases to keep the food warm, steel containers and boxes, clothes for children as well for adults, caps, slippers and various items of daily use were distributed, Along with the packet of assorted items, everyone was given some cash also. In the hour of culmination of satsang, the poor and deprived tribals were returning home with baggage of items received by them as Prasad on their heads; with their hearts filled with Divine Knowledge and with their countenance resplendent with blissful happiness! In order to check the alertness of the volunteers, lest they should have forgotten to include any item in the package, Pujyashree randomly checked a couple of packets. Great is Pujya of the poor and his love for the underprivileged!

After disseminating the nectar of satsang on 19th April afternoon at Shirpur (Mah.), Pujyashree arrived at Prakasha ashram for the night. Immediately after arrival, revered Gurudev blessed the awaiting devotees with the elixir of satsang. On 20th April and 21st April (noon), three sessions of holy satsang were held here.

21st April (noon) Dondaicha (Mah.): Pujyashree gave a donation to the Cow shelter (Gaushala) run by the ashram. One session of holy satsang was also held in Dondaicha ashram. In the evening of 21st April, Pujyashree reached Dhulia (Mah.) and satiated the devotees with his ambrosial satsang.

This year, the people of Indore implored Pujya Bapuji and vigorously pleaded with him to hold the satsang on 23rd April, the auspicious day of Bapuji’s incarnation at Indore. Shabri might have waited for several years to listen to the precepts of Supreme Knowledge and nine-fold Bhakti from Lord Sri Rama. But the residents of Indore were fortunate enough to have their prayers instantly acceded to. They attained the opportunity of taking a dip in the confluence of the three streams of the Yogas of Bhakti, Knowledge and Karma from revered Sadguru Sri Asharamji.

From 22nd to 24th April, keeping in mind, Lord Veda Vyasaji’s precept, (Everything is only through the service to the Guru) people of Indore imbibed the nectars of different tastes-men if action imbibed the Yoga of selfless action; Bhaktas imbibed the nectar of Bhakti and inquisitive seekers imbibed the Yoga of Self-Knowledge.

When Pujyashree gave a glimpse of self—experience, a miracle of sorts happened as words unraveled One Who is beyond the realm of words, “Pains and pleasures depart, childhood and youth vanish, episodes of success and defeat also disappear but one’s True Self never goes away. That which never fades away is our own beloved Lord, One who acts after being established in the Supreme Lord makes his deeds holy and divine He who engages himself in altruistic pursuits for the sake of the Lord verily makes his life and his deeds holy and divine. By celebrating the incarnation day of the Lord or of saints, we get an opportunity to make our life and our deeds holy and divine.”

After night stay in Ujjain on 24th April, Pujyashree reached dewas on 25th April and showered the of satsang. On 26th April, after showering the bliss of Self-Knowledge at Ashta, Pujyashree reached Bhopal. On 27th April, the ambrosial stream of satsang flowed in Vidisha (M.P).

Why must one take Mantra- Diksha?

Lord Krishna says in Srimad Bhagwad Gita, ‘Among yajnas, I am japa yajna’

Lord Rama says in Sri Ram Charit Manas ,

‘japa of My mantra and unwavering faith in Me this is the fifth Bhakti enunciated by the Vedas

So, various scriptures have pronounced the magnificent glory of japa mantra. But if the mantra is received from a God realized Satguru, its effect is infinitely greater. Saint kabirji says,

‘kabir says, the merit of coming into the tutelage of a Satguru is infinite.’

The confluence of the twin streams the Satguru’s grace and the disciple’s faith-is Diksha. Lord Shiva made Ma parvatiji to get Diksha from the Self-realized saint, Vamdevji. Ma kali told Sri Ramakrishna paramhansa to take Diksha from God-realized Satguru Sri Totapuriji maharaj. Lord Vitthal told Namdevji to take Diksha from the God-realized saint Sri visoba khechar Lotd Rama and Lord Krishna too, when they incarnated themselves, went into the tutelage of satguru. So, there is immense merit in taking Diksha from God realized Satguru.

The divine merits of Mantra Diksha:

Several virtues are found accruing in Sadhaka’ life after he takes Mantra- Diksha from pujya Bapuji. 18 0f them are mentioned here:

1. With the japa of Guru-mantra, vices come down; sins are destroyed and religious merit is earned.

2. Pleasures and pains don’t perturb the mind the way they used to do before Mantra Diksha.

3. Desires for sense- enjoyments stare waning.

4. The restlessness of mind and pettiness start waning.

5. One starts receiving inspiration and guidance from the Antaryami Self, the inner guide.

6. The ego starts melting away.

7. Pure Sattvic enlightenment starts dawning one the intellect.

8. Irrationality is destroyed and discriminative insight is gained.

9. The mind becomes calm and composed; the joy of Divine love, inwardness and Self Bliss is
kindled.

10. The knowledge of oneness of True Self and the Supreme Being is revealed and one is convinced that individual Atman is part and parcel of the Supreme Brahman.

11. Love of God is kindled in the heart and inclination towards of Lord’s name and towards listening to the narration of the Lord’s divine play and the praises of Lord’s glory gradually increases.
12. One attains Self Bliss and realizes the oneness of the Lord and His name.

13. Inclination towards. Japa of Lord; s name and satsang increases.

14. After Mantra-Diksha, the unsteadiness in Sadhaka’s mind progressively comes down and he becomes more and more capable of ac complishing the Yoga of equanimity.

15. He gets inspiration from and increase ingly experiences oneness with whichever from of God Nirguna Brahman (The impersonal, attributeless Absolute beyond all description or designation) or Saguru Brahman (The supreme Absolute conceived of as incarnating Himself as a person endowed with qualities and powers) he belives in.

16. His attachment towards the world, so full of misery as it is and towards worldly plea sures will come down.

17. His wishes are fulfilled.

18. Guru mantra is akin to God Himself. Japa of Guru mantra connects one the Lord.

Apart from this, japa of Guru mantra endows one with 15 divine powers

15 powers developed by japa of Guru mantra:
1. Bhuvanpavani Shakti: This power makes holy the places where saint engaed in japa of Guru mantra live.

2. Sarvayadhinashini Shakti: The power to eradicate all diseases.
3. Sarvaduhkhharini Shakti: The power to counteract the impact of all miseries.
4. Kalikal Bhujangabhaynashini Shakti: The power to destroy the vices of kaliyuga.
5. Narkodbharini Shajti: The power to deliver one from infernal conditions and infernal births.
6. Prerabdh Vinashini Shakti: The power to obliterate effect of iH fortune.
7. Sarva Apradh Bhajini Shakti: The power to one From ill effect of all vices.

From Rishi Bodhayana A procedure to remove poverty

Make kheer from the milk of a white cow having white cow having white calf daily for 28 days (4weeks). Don’ t boil the milk too much while making the kheer. Cook the rice in water and then put the milk and boil once or twice. Offer that kheer to Surya (the Sun). Remember Surya and repeat mantra a thousand times looking into the kheer. Then partake of the kheer yourself. Before japa, put the mantra into operation with this declaration ‘I apply mantra, whose meter is gayatri, Rishi is Lord Narayana, the deity is the indweller Lord, for God Realization and for the love of the Lord.’ This will protect your celibacy, enhance your luster will protect your celibacy, enhance your luster and will eradicate the poverty even if persisting for the last seven births and will give you happiness and prosperity.

Procedure to removes hurdles

Mix turmeric and rice and make a paste of with water and with it make on the entrance of the house. This will keep the prob lems of the house away and give it protection. You will get the same benefit even if you make with the paste of only tutmeric.

The temple God is made by a sculptor. But the indweller God is there, we can have Darshan of temple God and can worship Him. The noble God loves those who listen to the satsang on indweller God, relate it to thers and help help others in listening satsang.

*Those trapped in narrow circles (of sects), who indulge in sense enjoyments, never come to know the greatness of God and they are deprived of divine bliss. They ruin themselves in egotism and addictions. They are condemned to lower forms of life bullock, buffalo, etc. But one coming to Sadguru’ s satsang is saved from egotism, passions, and crosses beyond sectarianism to get the joy of Supreme Self in heart.

*The avaricious person can not spend his wealth on good things. The deluded person can not set his heart on God. The egoist squanders his body, mind and wealth in ego satisfaction; he meets a miserable end. The noble one on the other hand engages his body, mind and wealth in noble deeds and gets blessed.

*The place where saints live becomes a place of pilgrimage. Of pilgrimage, which delivers from sin and misery and fills the heart with divine bliss. That place becomes sacred where and saints cast their gracious glances and where winds flow touching the saints.

Nineteen powers of (OM)

The foundation of all spiritual text is the Vedas. The foundation of the Vedas Gayatri and the foundation of Gayatri is From evolved Gayatri; from Gayatri evoled Vedic wisdom and from that evolved findings of spiritual texts and social trends.

Patanjali Maharaj has said:

'(OM) Is expressive of God.’

(OM) is the king of all mantras is the un-struck sound. It arises naturally. Is composed of three syllables: A+U+M+ the half syllable is such a wonderful mantra of God’s name that there have been many explanations about it many spiritual texts have been written on it and yet no one has been able to claim that ‘I have written completely about its glory’. Jnaneshwar Maharaj Gita.

I’ bow to the primal Force as enunciated in the Vedas. Victory to my experience of the nature of Self.’

Jnaneshwar Maharaj has begun jnaneshwari Gita by offering salutations to God in the form of (OM)

Dhanvantri Maharaj writes that (OM) is the supreme mantra.

Veda Vyasji Maharaj says, This pranav mantra forms the bridge connecting all mantras.

In case one has lost his or her direction in life, has been thrown into a helpless situation, Lady Luck is annoyed with him, family friends have started deserting him neighbours shun him, love him no more, misfortune has attacked him from all directions that is one has become devoid of direction, support, wealth, power one shouldn’ t get disappointed. Instead, he should do japa of God’ s name with morning and evening for three hours. within a year, such a one, by God’ s grace will be respected by all, will be all will be successful in all fields and will be endowed with all qualities. That is why one should never curse oneself by feeling helpless, inferior and without support. God resides in you as your True Self and you can get’ s name natur-rally; why then should you feel sad?

Every night do japa of for min utes before going to sleep. Then you will see the miraculous effect of this mantra! See how wonderful you night and mornings become in comparison to ones before you started the japa! You will feel the difference the first day itself!

A mantra is associated with a Rishi, a deity, a meter (chhand), a seed and a clue to the stical power of mantra (keelak). Once a Sadguru who gives a Guru mantra with knowledge of these intricacies is found and the disciple obeys the sadguru with faith and reverence, the work is done. The meter of mantra is Gayatri, its deity is God Himself and Rishi of the mantra is also God.

(OM) Has nineteen divine powers protective powers, power of stimulation, power of luster, power of love, understanding powers, power of oneness with Supreme Consciousness etc. Listening with due reverence to the glory of and its divine powers gives tremendous benefits This is what learned Sanskrit sage Panini has said.

He was a moron initially. His name was counted amongst the greatest idiots. For fourteen years he unable to proceed to class ll from class i. Then he worshipped of Lord Shiva’s and mantra. He got Lord Shiva’s Darshsn and with His grace he created Sanskrit grammar and even to day sage Panini’s Sanskrit grammar is being taught.

(OM) Mantra has nineteen powers:

1. Power of protection: when we do japa of a mantra with it protects our japa and taken Mantra-Diksha is destined to come to trouble or to meet with an accident, the deity of the mantra minimziea the magnitude the accident or the trouble. Thousands of my devotees have experienced this power in their lives in a miraculous way. ‘Oh! The car overturned thrice, but Bapuji! ‘t even get a scratch….Bapuji! I had lost my job, this happened, that happened but consequently that same man called me asked me for forgiveness and reappointed me I even got a promotion…’ people have innumerable experiences of this nature! These experiences display the potency of omnipotent God.

2. power of stimulation: it might be that you and meditation and had become apathetic to wards it probably you were confused about your duties. The power of mantra stimulates you and helps you in your endeavours on the path of Sadhana and you start good progress.

3. power of iustre: with mantra japa, one’s evil tendencies get destroyed and his mind becomes pure. He becomes Iustrous and radiant in thought and conduct.This does not mean that miracles will happen a day two. Will happen gradually. No one becomes a graduate in a day; no one finishes his M.A. studies in a day. Similarly, one’ s life doesn’t get transformed miraculously in a day. After having taken a mantra, by and by as you do your japa with faith, concentration and purity, the benefits of the mantra will keep accruing to you.

4. power of Love: As your japa progresses, your love towards the deity of the mantra, the Rishi associated with the mantra and towards the potency of the mantra will keep growing.

5. power of fulfillment: As you do japa of the mantra, you will have progressively greater sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. Those who follow a regular regimen of doing japa feel lacking and unfulfilled if they miss out doing japa on some day. On the days they do their japa they feel contented and satisfied within.
Those who have assimilated power of mantra become forceful in what they say. People don’ t feel so contented listening to a politician delivering his speech but when those who have assimilated the power of mantra speak, people become nobler and feel highly contented and they become disciples of the master.

6. power of reading others’ minds: Mantra japa develops the power to know the feelings of others. Like the omniscient God, you can become a ware of others’ feel ings, the happenings of the past the future in the person’ s life people can comment, ‘Oh! You are omniscient!’ But inreality this development of the divine power of within you.

7. power of oneness with Supreme Consciousness: Many yogis have the power of knowing all innermost feelings of others present, past and future. in playful moments, they can tell you that you were like this and in such and such birth; you were at such and such place; now you are like this. When sage Deer ghatapa son paavan was grievinh over his parents’ death, elder brother punyak told him about his previous lives. This legend appears in ‘Sri Yoga Vasishtha Maharamayana’.

8. power of Listening: with the power attained by mantra japa, one is able to grasp very subtle, secret words. When Shukdevji Maharaj started satsang for king parlkshit, The Gods came there. Shukdevji spoke to the Gods. Maa Anandmayi too had direct contact with the celestial world. Many other saints have this power. From a distant, foreign iand, a devotee out, ‘Guruji! Protect me!...’ His cry reaches Gurudev!

9. power of governance: japa of develops the power to enforce order and to rule

10. power of accomplishment of goals: The japa of giver power to accomplish one’s goals.

11. The power of Action: The capability always to remain immersed inaction, the development of frame of mind of mind that enables one to remain immersed in action.

12. Power to Fulfil Others’ wishes: God is without desire but one who does japa of develops the ability to fulfil the wishes of others. That is why people pay obeisance to saints, queue up for their Darshan, make offerings and ask for blessings. This power means that God who is without desire Himself llluminates the path of fulfillment of noble wishes.

13. power of enlightenmet: The japa of makes the heart more enlightened.

14. Power of omnipresence: You can establish oneness with the pure Consciousness, with Brahman that pervades each and every atom in the universe.

15. Power of Embracing all: The power to develop affinity with others. The japa of you will be able to develop affection and ties even with unknown people, what to say of those who you are related to you! Those who do not earn the wealth of mantra japa are not considered as therir own even by their family members but those who have amassed the ewalth of japa of are loved by their families, the people in their society, the people of their village, their town, state. The whole country nay the world becomes blissful and full of divine love thinking of them

16. Power of Vanquishing: Can person who does japa of become violent? Yes, he will become violent but what kind of violence will he indulge in? He will van quish evil thoughts and he will not come under the pressure of evil people. That is he will become capable of destroying ignorance and evil tendencies.

17. Power of Giving: A person who does japa of will become a giver of nourishment and prosperity. Then he won’t be a beggar; he will have the power to give. He will not seek anything from deities or even God; he himself will start giving. There was a saint. He would do japa of and meditate. He used to live alone. He used to go out in the mornings but he would remain quiet. People would come to him to get their wishes fulfilled. People would fold their hands in respect and woild sit down in the queue. While walking amidst the people he would suddenly hit someone. Would become happy, his work would be accomplished. The unemployed would get a job, the childless would be blessed with a child and the ailing would be cured of illness. People would keep their cheeks ready. But only the fortunate ones would get slapped! I have not met that Maharaj but I have been told about him by people who got his Darshan and benefited from it.
18. Power of Enjoyment: At the time of final dissolution of the universe, the UI timate Absolute Substratum ingests all creation into itself. Similarly, one who does japa of has the ability to absorb all sorrows, worries, attractions, fears withim. Him just as everything gets merged in the ocean, all gets merged in him and he will be playing blissfully with them like the ocean plays with its own waves… otherwise the owner of one or two shops, one or two factories gets beset with worry. But not just one or two shops factories, one ashram or one samiti, 1100, 1200 or 1500 are run excellently under the aegis of one who has done this kind of Sadhana without causing any disturbance his mind! For such a person there is new joy, ever new bliss, ever new play.

Swami Ramtirth used to sing:

‘Every day is a new wedding, Daily there are congratulations.
When the love becomes a mendicant full of joy, then what is the reason behind your sadness!,

19. power of nurturing: japa develops powers of creation and nurturing.

Pranavvad: The Scripture expounding the magnificence of (OM)kar

There was a Brahmin named Dhanraj who was blind. He became a sadhu. In kasha city, there lived a doctor namely Bhagvandas who was very pious and religious. Dhanraj visited his clinic and greeted him with Namo Naraynye. He further said, ‘’Dr. Sahib, I’ m hungry. Can I get some food from your house taday?’’

‘’panditji, was please wait for a while.’’

His house was located behind the clinic. The doctor went inside the house to ask his wife for food. She said, ‘’After having a bath I’ ve just entered the kitchen. It will take about an hour to cook food.’’

The doctor came back to the clinic and said, ‘’panditji! Would you please roam around for some time? After about an hour you’’ ll surely get food at my place."

‘’where will I keep loitering around for an hour? I’ d rather wait here. It would be bet-ter if you could provide me some place to sitter if you provide me some place to sit here in you clinic.’’

‘’Alright! Kindly feel comfortable.’’ So panditji settled himself there. Furthering the conversation the doctor said, ‘’I’ ve heard about the glory of kar’. Do you have some idea about the same?’’

‘’Of course yes! The orign of the word kar is inherently and fundamentally from the Supreme Lord and it has not been created by any human being. All other words originate by means of impact but this majestic word with mysterious sound is born from within and comes naturally and intrinsically.’’

The great sage expounded the majesty of (OM)kar’ so extensively that doctor was wonder-struck and said, ‘’So enormous is the grandeur of (OM) kar!’’

‘’Definitely! Not to talk of me, Rishi Gargyayan has perfectly elucidated this majestic word in a scripture."
"From where can I acquire that grand scripture?’’

‘’No, you can’t; it is unavailable.’’

"But then you have been reciting verses from the same."

"Yes! Earlier that holy book was available. I’ m speaking on the basis of the same."

The doctor made it a practice to interact with panditji almost and consequently both of them drew closer to each other. The doctor implored, ‘’May I call in a scholar to pen down your oral verses?’’

‘’As you wish, the mahatma replied.

So he kept on reciting the verses and the scholar penned them down. And that sight less great soul recited them down. And that sight-less great soul rected as many as twenty two thousand verses.

The Theosophical Society has shown reverence to that grand scripture of twenty two thousand verses ‘pranavvad’ by keeping it in their library.

Science bows before the power of Vedic Mantras

Revered Bapuji says, “I ve recounted the majesty of (OM) to you but a few scientists have studied the magnitude of the power of word by testing the same in observatories as well as in the real life of people for as long as seven years. Therapists tried it out in New York, California, Boston etc. and reached the conclusion that by pronouncing the world one gets relieved from the ailments of stomach ach, debility of brain and heart etc. But these hedonists are interested only in curing physical ailments. In such countries this therapy has become quite common.

Prof J. Morgan has carried out research and found that the chanting of (OM) produces a kind of vibration in the stomach, chest and brain which revives the dead cells, revitalizes the existing ones and produces new cells. Even the materialists, who have nothing to do with God, and to whom this physical body is the be-all and end-all of life, benefit greatly from ‘Omkar therapy.’ However the saints alone know from personal experience that God-Realization itself can be attained by japa of (OM)

These scientists have reached this conclusion omly recently after a series of research works but we use the therapy of OM-japa culminating into exhilarated laughter in the beginning of the satsung session and also in the end and in the course of satsung. How immensely our sadhakas must be benefited from this wonderful exercise! The instruments of these scientist are bound to collapse in evaluating the amount of benefit attend through this exercise. Hardly do these poor researchers know that chanting of (OM) only for seven times makes the pious vibration transcend the bounds of this universe and attain unison with the infinite domain of countless universes. This is the reason for my initiating the practice of (OM) Japa. The ambrosial effect of this practice is too enormous to be gauged by any computing machine. A tangible machine can size up only that which is tangible of gauging the subtle or subtler, what to talk of gauging the subtlest? OM takes one to the realm of pure Consciousness, the subtlest of the subtle. The harvest of enormous gains reaped by my devotees from the reverential japa of OM is beyond the comprehension of these reserechers and scientists.

The glory of OM is not limited to what the doctor say; it is much more that . In fact it is much more than many times of even what I say. I can not say how many times. You just carry on with the reverential japa of OM and keep on unfolding the mystery behind it”

Today in the entire world, human ailments are being eradicated through OM therapy. Besides Morgan, several other scientists have also put forth their views on the subject:

In the ‘Columbia Presbyterian’s Heart Institute’ of New York, surgeons prescribe the chanting of OM before surgery because its repetitive japa calms down the patient’s nervas. Renowned surgeon Dr. Naresh Trehan adds an interesting insight, “Having a chant such as OM in the background, builds a feeling of confidence among surgeons and staff. The use of a chant such as OM prior to surgery helps patients think positively.”

Dr. Sanjay Chugh, a psychologist says, “When the body goes through native stress (distress), the level of steroids shoots up as the body experiences what we call the fight of flight response. Pre and post- operative meditation chanting or counseling reduces the level of steroid and is, consequently, good for the body.”

After studying the body’s “relaxation response” for nearly 40 years, Dr. Harbert Benson, the chairman of ‘Mind/ Body medical institute’ and associate professor of ‘Harvard Medical School’ recognized the need of chanting of mantras, yoga, meditation etc. and said, ‘’As time goes on, we’ re understanding this phenomenon in ever more advanced scientific terms. And why it’s so important to-day is because over 60 percent of visits to the doctor are in the stress-related realm.’’

After comprehensive research, even the science has bowed before the science of Indian Vedic Mantras. Our great scriptures and illustrious sages have already extolled the majesty of Not single day of revered Bapuji passes without without the pious recital of This sacred word is naturally and habitually repeated by him several times day. For the past 40to 42 years, pujya Bapuji is uplifting the devotees through reverential recital of During his satsang sessions, pujyashree helps his disciples practice Sadhana and experience its ambrosial effects. Pujya Bapuji’s delightful voice in person or through VCDs and DVDs like ‘’Madhur kirtan,’ ‘Hari naam sankirtan, ‘ prabhuji reverberates in the atmosphere and exhilarates the whole being of the atmosphere and exhilarates the whole being of the listeners.

The above mentioned research of scientists is limited to the physical body only whereas according to our illustrious scrip tures, the effect of is all-pervading. Even after death, it accompanies the soul of the being. Lord Sri Krishna says in Srimad Bhagwad Gita’:

‘’Uttering the monosyllable the Brahman-remembering Me always, he who departs thus, leaving the body, attains to the supreme goal.’’

‘Sannyaas Upnishad’ in Saam Veda says: ‘Anyone who reverentially does twelve thousand japa of pranav verily realize’s the Supreme within twelve months only.’

If anyone sets himself sincerely and dili gently on this practice, an anushthana (a religious undertaking) of twelve months helps him attain Supreme Enlightenment. Twelve thousand japa of coupled with abstinence from evil deed nad determination to attain God-Realization will God-Realization in one year!

Maharishi Veda Vyasji says is like a bridge to transcend mantras or to attain supreme beatitude.’

Sri Guru Nanak Devji also says: is the only truth. Yajurveda says: ‘in the letter Brahma pervades like ether.’ (Yajurveda:4017)

Maharishi pushkarji says: ‘parshramji! Pranav is the Supreme Brahman. One who by standing naval deep water repeats one hundred times and drinks the water thus con secrated, gets and drinks from all sins.’

(Those who are unable to take a dip in a pond can carry out this procedure at home by taking some water in a bowl.)

The scientists have accepted the wonderful merits of only for eradicating physical ailments whereas consecrates all the five sheaths of human body and fills them with ojas and radiance. Ailments and vices affect the inner sheath. If the same is revived by re verberation of mantras as commended by Yajurveda and Atharva Veda, one can easily gain longevity, vitality and sound health. Physical healing is an absolute remedy. Physical cure is not complete cure. Conse quently in spite of all the medical facilities. The patient remains afflicted with one disease

God can be worshipped in eight forms

Lord Krishna said in Srimad Bhagwat Purana that there are eight objects of His worship. By adopting even one of thess, one can easily attain to divine joy, divine love, divine contentment and divine bliss.

‘with the necessary material he must, connected in Bhakti, free from ulterior motives worship Me, his worshipable Guru, with the help of an idol, or with an altar, a firew, the (position of the ) sun with water or with Me as being present in his own heart, in Brahmin (twice born), and in his Sadguru.

1. Idol : An idol of god, goddess,Bhagawan or any Brahmajnani Guru may be worshipped with the necessary materials be worshipped with the necessary materials prescribed for worship in order to attain to Me, the Absolute Consciousness. Rendering services toand worshipping My idoi and looking at it with fixed gaze is also akin to my worship.
2. Altar: offering oblations into the altar in fire sacrifice chanting slokas like ‘it is for indra, it is not mine ‘it is for Varuna, it is not mine’, ‘it is for kubera, it is not mine’ and therby get rid of the sense of ‘my-ness’ is worship of Me, prescribed by shastras in performanace of yajna.

'It is not mine'... The sense of ‘I-ness’ and ‘mine –ness’ belong to maya. They are illusory. ‘Things are not mine. I consider the body as ‘I’ am I am not that ‘I’ I am the pure consciousness that continues to exist even after the physical death.’ –oblations with such an insight is worship of Me.

3. Fire: Offering oblations and ghee into fire with mind fixed on Agni, god of fire, is worship of Me.

4. Sun: Offering oblations of water to the sun god, facing the sun for doing wor- ship, meditation on form of sun god with closed eyes is worship of Me. This is con ducive to intellectual development and it is a Sadhana, worship of God.

5. water: water is a from of Mine. I should be worshipped by tarpana, offering oblation of water to the departed souls. When a devotee full of devotional faith, offers water to Me, I accept it with all love. The devo tee beholds the Supreme Being in the from of water or takes a bath invoking sacred riv ers the water, or takes achamana (sips water three times, repeating the Names of the Lord, prostrations to keshava, prostra tione to Narayana). These are the ways by which reverence is shown to and God is beheld in water. This gives peace and merits. This is a form of worship of Me.

6. Heart: worship God abiding one one’s own heart. Repeat My Name rhythmically with breathing.

Some people ask, ‘God is in the heart? Then heart is larger than the God!’

God is experienced in heart. God pervades all the countless universes. A seed is tiny in appearance but a huge banyan tree is hidden it. How many trees are contained in a seed? Nobody, not ever all the scientists collectively, or Lor Brahma Himself, cam tell it. Nobody again can tell how many men could be reproduced by a single man in the success-sion of endless generations? Infinite is God, infinite are objects of His creation. Is there any limit to which a seed can multiply? A mango stone is sown and it grows to a mango tree. Suppose a thousand mangoes are produced by that tree. Now eat away the thousand mangoes and sow the thousand stones. Thousand trees are grown. Sow all the stones of mangoes grown on these thousand trees. How many trees, how many mangoes, how many stones… go on counting. Is there any limit to the number of seeds single seed of mango or banyan can produce? All things created God are limitless like these seeds. So do not consider Yourself as the body which takes birth and dies; you are the pure Con- sciousness that animates the mortal body. That is why the Lord suggests this form of worship in the heart.

How to worship in the heart? One should meditate visualizing the four-armed or two-armed form of the Lord or watch the inhalations and count all exhalations. This is internal meditation. Be a witness to events of happiness, sorrow, desire, anger… Do not be influenced by them. This also is mode of antarang upasana (proximate aid to to liberation) of the Lord. There are various effective modes of worshipping the Lord.

7. Brahmin: One should behold Me in Brahmins. The virtuous and self-restrained Brahmins are akin to God. Those who are of virtuous conduct and habits, who make efforts know the Supreme Brahman, such Brahmins are akin to Me One should worship them and assimilate their virtues.

8. Sadguru: Pointing to the eighth object of worship, Lord that the culmination of all other worship is Sadguru who has attained to Me as his own being, Truth, Consciousness, Bliss Absolute whom I wor-ship whenever I incarnate Myself in human form. Sadguru is venerable to Me also. When I incarnate on this earth, I become his disciple and worship him. He who engages his life, body and mind in following commands of such a Guru, becomes one with Me.

He was blessed with the grace and knowledge of the perfected Guru…’

The Bhila woman Shabari and puranapoda engaged themselves in service of their respective Sadguru and became one with God. One one comes by a Self-Realized Sadguru, one attains the spiritual heights ized Sadguru, one attains the spiritual heights beyond all forms of worship. Kabir ji says:

‘My Sadguru is a rare hero; attacks with the weapon of ‘word’.

With the cannonball of love, he be stroys the castle of delusion.’

‘I am a Maharashtrian… I am a man… I am a woman… I am happy… I am un happy…’- this delusiness and sorrow are in the mind; I am a witness to them> Do you want to experience ‘visions’ of your choice? The mind will see the visions. What will you get? Our preconceived notions and the social religious background delude us and it appears to us that God- Realization is very difficult.

People think, ‘bapuji has practiced severe austerities. Buddha austerities; I did a lot of drudgery wandering from place to place; all because I did not know the Truth. when I got an insight into the Truth, it was very easy. I did not have to exert one hundredth part of what my Gurudev (Swami Sri Lilashahji Maharaj) had to. And you people are getting the same what I got in less than one thousandth part of exertion that I did out of ignorance. To the people sitting before him) what efforts are you making? You just have to listen. Is it difficult to listen? You are merrily getting what can not be attained with decades of self-mortification.

‘Laugh, play and meditate. Hear al-ways about the teachings on Brahmajnana.

Says Gorakhnatha, I am always with those who eat, drink but do not become slaves to their minds.’

Is it difficult? Other then this, Ravana had successfully built the golden city of the Lanka; Hiranyakashy was so advanced in penance that he created the golden city of Hiranyapur. But all their advancement was confined to the realm of body, mind and intellect. By means of their intellectual prowess, penance and cncetration they made achievements but they did not attain Self-existent bliss. What they got after sixty thousand years of self mortification was consequently destroyed. If those two men had come into contact with Self- Realized Guru and had followed their teachings, they would have attained indestructible reality with the grace of Sadguru, I attained That indestructible in just forty days. So describing the glory of Sadguru, the Lord says that worship of such a Sadguru makes one at tained of Me easily and directly.

Self-surrender

Once, the great saint Daduji was going with his disciples. One the way, they had to cross a drain carrying rainwater, which was so small that people crossed it just by taking one step on a stone kept in the drain. That day, the stone gad been removed by somebody. There was very little water in the drain but there was a lot of mire and so it was difficult to cross the drain. The disciples started search- ing for a stone so that Gurudev could cross the drain. But Rajjab said, ‘’Gurudev! Shall lie in the drain. Please step on my back, and cross the drain. Daduji said, ‘’No dera son! Your clothes will become wet and dirty with mire.’’

Rajjab said, ‘’Gurudev! You have taken so much of trouble to save us from the mire of worldly life! You are taking care of us at the cost the Self Bliss of Samadhi. This mire is better than that of the worldly life. And body will serve some useful purpose at least if it is of any use to you, Gurudev!’’

Daduji said, ‘’Get up my my child!’’

Rajjab prayed in a pleading voice, ‘’O Gurudev! O deliverer of sinners! Let my body be sanctified and blessed by the touch of your pious feet. Please be kind to me and cross the drain by stepping on my back.; The usefulness of my body lies in rendering service to you.’’ Daduji was so much pleased with Rajjab’s dedication to service and single minded devotion that he hugged him affectionately. What greater gift can there be for a disciple!
