On the occasion of Dipawali people practice various types of sabhana to propitiate goddess Lakshmi an attain wealth. We are hereby giving our readers an extremely simple ritual for the same involving just three days of sadhana.
This sadhana has to be done for three days for the day of Dipawali unto that of Bhaidooj. Clean the room meant for this well, burn incase (made for cow dung an not that containing chemicals) and light a lamp. Wear an all yellow dress and apply setting for this sadhana early in the morning. Do japa of the following mantra for tow counts of a rosary made for crystal beads per day. The mantra namo bhaayalkasmyai can vidmah!
Astalaksmyai ca dhimahi tanno laksmith pracodayat!
Dipawali is the birthday of Goddess Lakshmi she emerged on this day form the kshirasagara (milk sea) during its echuning by the gods and demons. Hence goddess Lakshmi is pleased with one who on this day, performs the above sadhana aspirating to have the goddess aspiring to have the Goddess permanently residing in one’s home to get relief form poverty or to earn a good living for oneself..
Prosperity an riches result for the accumulation of merits and industriousness: multiply with the virtue of charity and skill; while self restraint and good conduct lend stability to them. Riches earned by means of sin, torment of duress give rise to confects and panic: and is itself destroyed within a decade. Just as a spark of fire fallen on a heap of cotton buns it to ashes in no time so do wrongfully acquired riches vanish absurdly. Wealth earned through hard work, good conduct due observance of dharma and self restrain brings peace and self restraint brings peace and happiness.
