Universal versus Special Consciousness

A Christian nun having read the Bible came to the conclusion Lord is omnipresent and observes everyone.’ Hence she won’t take off clothes even while bathing in the bathroom for she thought it inappropriate to appear naked before the Lord Who is present everywhere and see everyone. Thus she gradually becomes Very dirty. She not only avoided undressing while taking bath but also found it difficult even at the time of answering nature’s call as it was firm in her and, God is everywhere and is watching everyone Her fellow nuns tried to convince her not to abide by the bookish knowledge and be practical instead. But She was adamant No I just can’t disregard the assertion of the Book but pay due heed to it. God is watching us everywhere and so I should respect this.” This made life more and more difficult for her.
Then she happened to accompany her friends to a Sufi saint. Then saint told her, The two eyes and the inner faculty thoughts which you try to perceive alone. He is not limited to those figures alone. He is everywhere so the all pervading God can’t be perceived by anything finite (eye, etc). Rather H is witness to even the mind and the intellect watching that finite entity. When He is everywhere He is verily present inside and outside and outside your clothing as well so what all can you hide form Him?”
Thus the Absolute Being the Pure consciousness is all pervading you can’t conceal anything forms Him.
The consciousness is of two kinds, for the ease of understanding we have to say so lone is samanya pure consciousness and the other isVishesha, the reflection of pure consciousness in the intellect. For example sunlight is spread everywhere. This is the universal sunlight illuminating the shop the wall, etc. Now if you take a mirror and project its reflection on the wall the mirror reflection (the reflected sunlight) also illuminates the wall. Thus the wall is illuminated by two kinds of light own universal and the other reflected or special. So due to the adjunct (incident cause finite entity) of the mirror here we have two types of sunlight. Likewise the consciounenes supreme self despite being one acquires the form of reflected which is the heart or the intellect there by becoming two. Hence while pure consciounenes that is beyond the touch of all trebles and disturbance rests in abiding peace the reflected consciousness has to face problem. That is also termed as Chidabhasa the reflection of pure Consciousness in the refection of pure Consciousness in the intellect jiva the individual self, and there are many synonyms of it. It is said the soul departed and he died. The soul came back into his body. His ha seen taken to Yama the God of death in all these references soul stands for the reflected consciousness. And no vacuum is created in he pure consciousness owing to the movement of the reelected consciousness. Wherever the adjunct moves the reflected consciousness follows it.
The pure consciounenes is opposed to none end is absolutely motionless. Tones of logs despite having the inherent fire element don’t produce any fire or light while lying in the go down. The submarine fire too doesn’t get dosed by the surrounding water. This is because the fire there in is Samanya and not Vishesha, in which case it would have got extinguished. Similarly the digestive fire present in the stomach doesn’t burn the body. For its presence there in of th Samanya nature. Just a little flame of fire outside turns things into ashes whereas you simply can’t live without the digestive fire within you body.
There fore the are consciousness is opposed to none. Just like those logs of wood, despite having the Samanya (Unmanifested) fire, small never give you any heart. The pure consciousness is omnipresent and pervading. Permeating each and every bit of the creation; while the reflected consciousness is present wherever there antahakarana i.e. the internal faculty the soul the mind the heart, conscience. All things in this phenomenal world such as the existence of jiva attainment of self realization bondage, japa heaven hell virtue vice being an elephant a deer a fowler a Brahmin a traveler the Guru a disciple to survive or to die, becoming God appear in the reflected consciousness supported by the Existence of the pure Consciousness.’
