Reward of serving saints

(Excerpts form pujya Bapuji’s Satsnag)

Tailanga swami was a saint of high order. He lived for 270 tears on the planet earth. He was bron in 1607 A.D. at holiya village in Vijna district in the south India. His childhood name was Shivaram.

Shivaram unlike other children was not interested in games and sports. While other children would keep playing he world sit alone in the temple courtyard looking with fixed gaze at the sky or the shivalinga. Something he would fall into trace while setting under a tree. When his parents saw his attitude they were alarmed of his becoming a sadhu in future. They made up their mind to get him marred. When Shivaram came to know about it he said to his mother. “Mother I will not marry. I will rather become a sadhu. I would attain the knowledge of the existence of my self of the supreme Being and acquire diving powers on the parents strong insistence he sad if you will trouble me like this you world never see my face again.

Mother said my son I have labored a lot serving many saints to beget you. My dear live with me till I am alive. After my death you may become a sadhu. But do certainly find out what is these reward of having darshan of saints and rending serives to them. He thus promised his mother. After something his mother expired and thereafter he became a sadhu. He reached the city of kashi and got in touch with many eminent shears and saints. He asked many Brahmins sadhu and saints the question but none of them gave a convincing reply that so and so is the fruit of living in company of saints and rendering sevie to them. They of course told him:
The company of a saint, for even a single ghadi,
Or even one half of it even a quarter. Destroyers millions of sins says Tulsidas.’
(A ghadi is two a half hours) What is the total reward this could still not be known. He thought now what should I do.

A sadhu advised him, There is a big crematorium named Uddaranpur on the bank of the river Ganges at katwa in district Brdwan of the Bengal state. There Raghunatha Bhattacharya is writing a smite Grantham a volume based on secondary revelation. (His memory is very sharp) He can answer your question.’

Though the two laces namely kashi and Bengal are far apart, still he went there Raghunath Bhattacharya said, Brother even I cannot tell you what is the fruit of having darshan of saints and redesign service to them but yes. I shall definitely tell the means to know it. God at the bank of river Naramada and do recital of markandeya Chadi for seven days. Before the completion of the rectial a great man and Bharara will appear before you They may answer you question.

Shivaram went to the bank of river Naramada and got engaged in the rectial. See when a person is hungry he works hard and whatever he gets painstakingly he is able to digest it you all don’t have the hunger for Brahmajana you don’t want to endeavor for the God realization that is the reason that while you are getting so much satsnag, thought it definitely gives the befits of merits but still you are not achieving the height of realization. I had that yearning and so I could digest Guruji Prasad.

On the fifth day recital a great man appeared along with a Bairiki He asked what do you want? Shivaram ji greeted him and said lord I want to know what is the reward of having darshan of suits, living in their company while serving them. The great man said Brother I do not know it.
See this is the truthfulness of the Hindu Dharam. The follower of Hinduism doesn’t tell tales about something he does not know. There were so many scholars in kashi anyone could have boaster. But no sangatan Dharam signs the glory of truth. If you know speak other wise remain silent. The great man established in the auspicious self said, Bharara give him the three tablets you have in your bag.

He then said to Shivaram, The king of this state is childless. He has tried many remedies but all of them failed. Give these three tablets stories queen She will beget a son even thought she is not destined to get a child. That newborn son will give answer to your question.
Shivaram ji proceeded with the three tablets. He had practiced Ansuhthanas under a tree on the bank of river Narmada without taking food for seven days in stormy weather. So he was emaciated on the way he bought some food form a vendor to eat. He was resting under a tree and in the meanwhile a greas cutter arrived. He kept his bundle of grass on a side. He saluted Shivaram ji and said tonight I shall rest here and tomorrow morning I shall go to the marker.
Shivaram ji said it is good my son. Now you massage my legs. As he did that Shivaram ji fell asleep. The greas cutter massaged his legs till midnight and then he also went to sleep. In the morning when shivaramji got up and called out the grass cutter he found that he was dead. Now since shivaramji had taken his seve, he was obliged to perform his last tires which he did at the hold bank of river which he did at the holy bank his last rites, Narmada and when tot the town. He sent a message to the king that he had a divine medicine. The queen would beget a son on taking that medicine. The king refused saying that they had already tired many such remedies but in vain. Then shivaramji said to the Minster Tell the king that I would stay near the palace unit the child is born.’ Thereafter the king took the medicine. Shivaramji put a condition that as soon as the child is bron he should be brought before me after bathing him. I have to talk to him. That is way I have taken pains to reach this place. When the king was told this he said surprisingly, Will a new born body talk? Lets see.

The queen was administered those tablets A child was bron after ten moths. When the child was given first bath he at in an asasn keeping his hands in jnana mudra. The king happiness knew no bounds. The queen was also elated that what a rate baby is that who has started chanting just after birth. Such a thing was never heard or seen before.

Everyone was stunned. The news reached shivaramji he came and he also realized that yes the ansuhthanas has bore fruit to cause this miracle. He was delighted to see the baby and said o baby I have come to ask you a question . what is the fruit of the company of saints and rendering service to them?
The newborn baby rallied. Maharaji I was a poor helpless and deprived grass cuter. I served you a little and you can yourself see the firth of that seva now that I ma born as a prince and am telling you the story of my previous birth. Now, What other rewards shall I get in even I do not know.’

When Ramakrishna Paramahamasa got darshan of Tailing swami at kashi he said l saw that the universal lord himself was using his body as a vehicle for his manifestation kashi was illumined by his stay there.’

The knower of Brahman the great man established in ?brahamna is very great but even more elevated is nor who has attained the Bliss of Brahman and showers that to others. The glory of having the darshan of and living in h vicinity of and doing service to such evened souls could not be fully described by the new bron body who miraculously started talking then how can it be fully described by me?
