Guru Bhakti Yoga.

It should be remembered that the human consciousness is entangled in animal instincts emotions and gross desires. The tendency of the mind of man is to move in this direction of sense and ego, and not towards higher Knowledge. A complete surrender of personality to the Guru who is windowed with the highest realization avoids such pitfalls on the path of sandman and take the aspirant safely to the light that shines beyond the human conscience act in the manner in which they are trained and a ordinarily they are accustomed to function in accordance with world and the object of sense and of the craving and the ambitions of the ego they cannot be expected to take one spontaneously to the higher realms of spiritual Knowledge.
Those who teach the theory that a Guru is not necessary and that each one should follow one’s own reason and conscience forget the ostensible fact that t they themselves take on themselves the role of the Gurus to those whom they teach the doctrine. They being to command respect adoration and worship as great teachers though they teach that there is no need for a teacher. We know how the Buddha of example asked his disciples to think four themselves rationally and convince themselves for themselves in regard to the clarity of the doctrine which he preached and not to accept anything by ere authority of his wood. He did not propound the worship of any god, too. However the result has been that he is being worshipped as a Great Guru and even a God. The teaching in regard to thinking for oneself and the denial of the need for a Guru naturally implies the acceptance, on the part of the taught of the person who teaches as a Guru. It is the nature of human experience to get effected by a process of subject object in traction.
There is a feeling among sane people in the West that the dependence of the disciple on the Guru is a psychological bondage which according to the theory of psycho analysis has to be got over. In this connection it has to be noted hover that the relation of the simile to the Guru is not the psychological dependence which psycho analysis is familiar with but the surrender of personality to the care of a higher consciousness which includes and transcends the limited individualistic consciousness of the disciple. Further the disciple dependence on the Guru take the form of personal relationship only in the beginning but he end it becomes a veritable surrender of the individual to the universal.
The Guru becomes a symbol of the Eternal. The patient’s dependence on the psycho analyst will no doubt be a relationship from which the patient has to break himself away, for this dependence is brought about temporarily for the sake of bringing about a relief of tension in the mind of the parent. When the task is dons, the dependence is broken and overcome and the patient becomes free and independent as before. But neither in the beginning nor in the end the relationship of the disciple to the Guru takes the shape of an undesirable dependence. It is dependence on the universal through and though. The Guru is taken not as a body or even as a personality but as are presentation of the highest spiritual reality. Thus the dependence of the disciple on the Guru is a gradual process f self purification on the part of the disciple and of his final attainment of the supreme Godhead.
Question: Pujya Bapuji in an attempt to internalize the mantra, All this is Vaasudeva,” I found that seeing Vasudeva in good people seems possible but it is not so in case of wicked people and bad things. What should be done in this respect?
Pujya Bapuji: Guruji is vaudeville personified; Lord Krishna and the cows are the embodiments of Vasudeva one can cultivate in a person who is doing wicked things before our very eyes, is he question. If somebody is doing wicked things or is trying to deceive you, do guard yourself but visualize alone in him too. When Lord Krishna comes to Gapes’ houses for His sport of stealing butter, a Gopi, Prabhavati did keep guard at her house but at the same time a she enjoyed seeing Lord Krishna sport. ‘Oh How wonderful is Vasudeva innocent play. She used to think, Vasudeva is playing the some sport as he did in His incarnation as Lord Narasimha. If sane body is playing tricks, think ‘Vasudeva is playing tricks like He did in His incantation as Lord Krishnan.’ If somebody is prone to get infuriated think, aside is player the sport like what lord Shiva plays. See Vasudeva play in both the good and the bad. In truth all is vaudeville. Good or bad is on the surface. There is actually water in the drain as well as in river Gaga. You say how can we visualize water in the dirty waves of a drain? You say how can we visualize water in the dirty waves of a drain? You may ask how one can conceive the water in the drain as well as in river Garage. You as yow can we visualize water in the dirty caves of a drain? You may ask how can only conceive the water of the holy river Gaga in the drain? Well the water in the drain evaporates and after being condensed in the form of could it trains to become theater of the holy rive Gaga. The water of holy Ganga in time goes to the drain also. In the same way the same Vasudeva is seen in different forms.
Question: Pujya Bapuji My goal is God realization, but in the course of worldly activities, I forget it and stray form the path, kindly teach me how to keep this goal in mind even the course of our daily chores.
Pujya Bapuji: Before chopping jack fruit we apply oil to our hands so that the milk oozing form the fruit doesn’t stick to them. Otherwise the milk sticks to the hands and is very difficult to remove them,. Similarly you should rub the oil of devotion, prayer jape and meditation to your heart before going to interact with people in the world. This way you can conduct world business without being mired therein.
Question: Gurudeva how does one practice Self enquiry?
Pujya Bapuji: Those who don’t practice Self enquiry overwhelmed by both happiness and sorrow, and thus end up squandering their time and energy; but dashikis who practice self enquiry enjoy both happiness and sorrow. And what is Self enquiry? It is the enquiry into the nature of the sourer of ‘I’ the witness to pains and pleasures, and which is Trust Absolute, Consciousness Absolute and Bliss Absolute.
Gains and losses come and go but who am I? OM OM ……..With such thoughts be calm. The answer will come form within and you
