Statement of Shir Ashok Singhal, International Chairman of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad at the Dharan spot (through telephone)
The truth is that the allegations that have been leveled against Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu have been made without any investigation. There is no justification for such an action. Accusation of like nature was made against Shankaracharyaji in respect of his employee and he was put behind bars. There can be no bigger insult to India. How can we put up with such outrage! Saints are like God to us. Nobody has seen God but the give us enables us to contemplate about God. The accusation made against Sant Asaramji Bapu that he is involved in a conspiracy of attempt to murder s not true. The matter should be investigated and the accusation should be revoked. I am taking personal interest in the matter.
I deprecated also the ransacking of Bapuji Ashram. The way inmates of the Ashram were beaten up with lathis was not correct.
I heartily congratulate the people sitting on the dharna (Organized by international Spiritual Organization). They have pursued this dharana for such a long time. It will surely bring some result. If any saint of the country is treated sacrilegiously, It has widespread ramifications. If request all of you and particularly those who are on fast to revoke the fast. I would have myself reached there and go the fast suspended but because of ill health, I had to come to praying wherefrom I cannot reach there. I congratulate all of you and request you once again to conclude this dharan.

Out revered saints come to this earth to awaken the people of this country and to make then alive to their national pride. The calumniation of saints will not be tolerated so long as a single worker of Vishwa Hindu Parishad is alive. And there is a huge network of workers of Vishwa Hindu Parihad and Bajrang Dal when the question of sacrificing ones life arises.
We appeal to the Government to withdraw without delay the false case filed against Asaramji Bapu.
We will not be deterred by the Critics
Latue December 22: While speaking against the ill propaganda done to defame revered saint Sri Asaramji Bapu Shri Ravishankar fonder of the Art of Living said Our league of saints which s dedicated to the protection of Dharam and engaged in the divine works for human welfare will not pay heed to the propagation of baseless tales that have been contacted in order to defame our saints. Shri Ravishankar severely reprimanded the slanderers of saints and Mahatmas.
